Seafood
Harbor Lights is located on scenic Ruston Way, overlooking Commencement Bay in Tacoma. For over 50 years, Harbor Lights has become well known for serving colossal portions of seafood such as the four pound bucket of steamed clams. Harbor Lights was the dream of Anton Barcott, an immigrant from Yugoslavia. On January 26, 1959 Anton opened Harbor Lights among the lumber mills and shipyards along the waterfront. Anthony's Restaurants purchased Harbor Lights on April 29th, 2000 and warmly welcomes this landmark to the Anthony's family.

We had a great time. The food was delicious although they did not have the clams or crab claws that we wanted. Since they were closing for covid the next day, we understand why they didn't have them. The service was very attentive. Great place to celebrate.

The lobster was excellent, cooked perfectly, with consistent texture, and not fishy, hint of being broiled. The green beans were also cooked perfectly, tender and not "squeaky". The rice pilaf was different, not what I would have expected, different as it was wild rice with cranberries, yet good. My husband's lobster was also as good. He also ordered the accompanying sirloin and it had a flavorful rub but not overpowering to the taste. His loaded baked potato was devoured quickly. 😊

Harborlights is a time-honored Tacoma waterfront restaurant. The food is always good, the drinks are generous, and the service and ambiance is above par.

We had heard that the chowder was more like soup, so we didn't order it. Hubby had the fried cod, I had the beef tenderloin, and it was delicious! Service was prompt, the view was beautiful. Chocolate mousse for dessert topped it off. A perfect anniversary dinner during Covid.

Our food was a bit undercooked. Our filet mignon orders were mixed up and even at that, our medium and medium well orders were too red. The lobster was a little underdone, too.
It was, however, very delicious and fresh and overall a very good experience.

Harbor LIghts remains a favorite. Our food was prepared well (steak and lobster), particulary the lobster. The top sirloin steak was cooked to specification (medium rare), was flavorful, but was a bit tough. I would go with the tenderloin next time. We comfortably shared the shrimp cocktail as a starter, but it was so good that we wished that we had ordered two.

We love coming to Harbor Lights. We always request the bar because Tess is our favorite server and so efficient! The staff recently went out of their way to accommodate our group when our reservation changed from 4 to 6. It’s things like this and the fabulous food, that keep us coming back.!

Harbor Lights is our go to place for special celebrations. We just visited again to celebrate my father's 82nd birthday. All of our meals were wonderful. The crab legs never disappoint. The salmon was done to perfection. The wait staff and hostess were all attentive.

Food was so so , and they were rushing us out after 20 minutes. Trying to take our plates away when we were not done eating and not refilling our coffee. There were open tables so it’s not like they were needing our table. We most likely will not be going back.

Calamari was well prepared as was the burnt cream. Great service and wonderful view. Tables were well placed with social distancing in mind.
