Location location location! Love being able to see the lake! Loved Nicholas bot Cory didn’t speak to us finally after the third time Cory came around I tried talking to him. Didn’t think that was friendly at all. We were in a great mood celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary but his skills stunk. Then we course Nicholas anywhere and we were not sure if Nicholas was our waiter anymore? Very confusing!
Finest view in the city. Loved the fresh Kusshi oysters.
We celebrated our Anniversary and were treated like royalty. Our server was dynamic. The food was excellent and the ambiance was charming. Will definitely go back!
All you can eat snow crab legs and macarons for $44.99, plus free valet parking during brunch time. Excellent service and ambience, too.
Food was very good and the waiter friendly. Beautiful setting with a great view of the Calatrava.
Stopped there before going to the nearby festival grounds (10 minutes walk away) for Irish Fest. Wine and bloody mary and staff and atmosphere were great. 8 hours later returned from the Fest for dinner. Had 8pm Saturday night reservations and were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. One of our two servers was friendly, and they were fairly efficient. Food was excellent. Decent basket of buns and butter to start, good wine choice although a bit pricey. Dinner choices were all excellent: crab cakes, lobster roll, linguine with clams. Desserts looked good but, alas, we were too full. The atmosphere and view are wonderful. Jutting out into Lake Michigan you get a great skyline view including the amazing shoreline art museum shaped like a ship. For a crowded place the sound level was very moderate, and I don't hear well and I had no problem with conversation. Overall, having dinner here each year we visit Milwaukee is always one of the highlights of our trip. PS. They have a beautiful function room right at the eastern lakefront end and when we were there earlier in the day there was a beautiful wedding reception taking place there.
A very enjoyable evening. The food and staff were excellent. The view is great.
Always love the menu at Harbor House. The service is exceptional and the view is spectacular at sunset. Every time we visit Harbor House we leave extremely happy. Fantastic place!
Amazing food, view, worth the value, just....speechless!
Love everything about Harbor House. Service was perfect.
Quite crowdedthat night and we had sit at small table in the middle of the resturant a lot to traffic to put with. Food was excellent.
Birthday for two sisters
I would go for happy hour. Food was just ok. Great location.
Thought kids meal better serviced (or asked whether...) on plate versus basket. Age of child and maturity can be more formal then a basket.
Overall, our experience was good. It was lunch for our wedding anniversary, and we noted that on our reservation. We were seated at a table with a nice view as requested, and our waiter (who was excellent) gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. The one shortcoming was the filet mignon was medium, not medium rare as ordered. Therefore it was not very tender and did not have much flavor outside of the sauce that was served with it. The key lime pie was also very sweet; you could taste the sweetened condensed milk. We'd go again for a special occasion, but wouldn't order the filet.
Ordered clams cons mussels to start, Only 3 clams in dish. Swordfish force entree, Well prepared but very small and thin
Took my girlfriend to the harbor house for a birthday dinner and she loved it! The food and views were incredible! We will be back for a weekend brunch.
Excellent service, great quality food, beautiful setting. Only thing lacking is the quality of the coffee 👍
Beautiful setting and scenery, delicious food, excellent service, a delightful evening!
The lobster and steak were awesome but the halibut wasn’t the best. It was pretty busy so we did not get very good service.
We were so pleased to be seated right at 7 pm at a lovely banquet for the five of us. Assorted waitstaff stopped to visit our table but our cocktails were not delivered until 7:20 which I feel was too long a time. No one wants to nibble on your good bread if they don't have their beverage to sip. Our meals were delicious. Will definitely be back.
Noise level made conversation difficult at a table for four people. Could have more waitresses since ours was overworked & as a consequence wait time for service was almost unacceptable. I do not blame the waitress who was doing her best but one of my guest thought we were ignored. Overall, experience was not what was expected as I have previously had dinner at this restaurant one month ago. JAR
Fantastic ambiance, great food and tee time service.
Birthday celebration, delicious!!
Beautiful location. The food is ok but not good enough for the price you pay in my opinion. Service also not as professional as I would expect. Couldn´t even finish my bottle of wine and they insisted in getting the bill paid. Noise from the bar and kitchen.
Ambiance, view is beautiful. Our servers seemed stressed and unhappy. Never asked how our food was (steaks were overcooked) and there were big gaps in timing. We were celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary and they did serve glasses of champagne and a dessert to share which we appreciated. But overall we will most likely not return. Our special evening was dampened by food and service.
Waitress was slow and inattentive, seemed that way because we were younger, college aged customers.
Uneven service on a packed Monday night. 2nd cocktail brought to table 45 minutes after ordering; we were done eating by then and turned it down. Steak ordered medium rare served raw, but sent back to kitchen and returned perfect by manager, who waited to make sure it was right. We will always go back for great seafood, fish and view.
I’ve been here maybe a dozen times. I love it. It’s top drawer. But, it’s a little overboard when it comes to prices. I dine in NYC, San Francisco and Philly all the time.
We were passing through Milwaukee and wanted to stop and lunch at the Harbor House, as we had good memories of dining in that location years ago at the Pieces of Eight Restaurant.
Location beautiful as ever! Harbor House had a great atmosphere, wonderful service, good drinks and overall pretty good food. Wine prices a little high for the Midwest, but I would stop there again. 😊
The meal was GREAT! We sat outside because the A/C inside was set to frigid but loved the outdoor ambiance. I highly recommend this restaurant but you better bring a fat checkbook. Our anniversary dinner for 2 with 4 glasses of wine and tip was almost $200.
Our waiter was a bit unfriendly. Refills for water were not offered until we received our bills. I understand that this is the only restaurant on the lakefront in Milwaukee but know excuse for inferior service. With the prices you charge the service should be top shelf.
Everything and everyone was excellent from host to waitress and waiter.
I have dined at Harbor House many times and am always pleased, but this was truly outstanding. We took friends from Honolulu and they were extremely impressed.
Brunch was nice.
Nice view of the lake, and decent food.
Not sure its worth price paid.
Brunch was great and the service was also good! Definitely recommend for the brunch!
2nd time at Harbor House and just as good as the first time. Beautiful setting and excellent, fresh seafood! Will be back for a 3rd time.
It was great for a celebration & the food was great!
Food and service always excellent. Very charming atmosphere. At peak business, can be a very loud place especially if seated by large tables. It was my wedding anniversary and I was married at Harbor House and reflected that in my Open Table comments on the reservation. It was supposed to be an intimate table for two. Well ... was seated by the main aisle next to large party of 10. Every time people walked by my table they bumped into us. I love HH but see that their management can’t seem to consider its customers requests - even with forward planned reservations. Luv HH but ...
