I've had much better sushi. the sashimi wasn't awesome, sauce was lacking. the rolls all tasted the same to me. Not bad just not great.
The rolls lacked variety and creativity. Too much breading and sauce smothering the fish. We had calamari as an appetizer which was also not that good. Sauce was weird and the calamari was chewy. Overpriced and just not that good.
Usually love Hapa sushi. This time was our worst experience with the food. The rice was either old or was not cooked enough and was crunchy. Fish was good but the rice made the dining experience poor.
Always great food, fun atmosphere, and amazing service, epic experience every time!
Ok. Sever very nice but inconsistent. Had to ask for different requests. Food was decent except miso soup and shataki mushrooms way too salty.Prices ok.
The food was uneven. I enjoyed the tuna poke, which was tasty and filling.
Unfortunately the California rolls and magic mushrooms lacked flavor or zest.
Happy Hour pricing was great, but food didn't quite fulfill expectations.
The food was delicious! The salmon was fresh and everything I was looking for, and the waiter was great. I knew I wanted some sushi/Japanese and so glad I came here.
Excellent food and service. We were able to get a table using the open table app which was key to the evening. I highly recommend
Good sushi in convenient location. Easy walk pre/post Pepsi Center events. Friendly atmosphere, cozy vibe.
Horrible and ignorant service. Food was meh at best!
Very busy Sat. night, tiny table. Sushi was ok, although it fell apart quite a bit. Vegetable Gyoza was terrible and cold. Would recommend for a good table...but not the crowded back room.
I met a friend here for lunch I enjoyed every roll I tried.
Waitress was inattentive and rude. The food wears delicious as always though
The appetizer was not worth the $10.50.
server forgot to put in food order but he was very nice
We went to Hapa for valentines day, it was a perfect environment. Just like everywhere it was slammed packed, but the food was quick and the wine was better. Our waitress was stellar and made sure we had an amazing night. Thank you staff....
I felt like I was drinking from the ocean. So much salt in the soy sauce! Offer sodium free soy sauce.
This was my first time at Hapa, but it definitely won’t be the last. The sushi was delicious. The entrees were delicious. Loved every bit! :-)
Busy night to be eating out but Hapa has their waiting/seating system dialed in. Food was good, service was too.
Valentine’s Day date - great food, excellent service, Hapa had all hands on deck for this night. Our waitress was well versed in the menu and we loved everything we ordered and that she recommended!
Hapa is a favorite for my wife and me. We come to Hapa Lodo about once per week. We didn't notice it this time, but they weren't that busy yet, but the previous time had an employee walking around with an Ipad monitoring how fast we were eating. It was super annoying. I get it that they want to be able to give people waiting a good idea of wait time, but the lady walked by at least 10 times, and probably more. If Hapa wasn't in my neighborhood, I probably wouldn't have gone back after that. Hopefully they won't be doing this anymore when they get busy. If they do, that's the end of my times going to a place we really enjoy.
We are SO glad we made a reservation ahead of time. Not that we couldn't have gotten a seat, but there definitely seemed to be people coming in as fast as a table would open up. Service was fast. Loved the fact that the two of us were able to get a small table in the corner away from the traffic and upstairs. We also lucked out with parking, as there were plenty of meters / spots the next street over which made for a short walk to the restaurant.
Great experience incredible food. Food got to table incredibly fast. Bombest most bomb sushi in town.
Excellent happy hour during the Broncos games.
Everything was great! Went there for "date night" sat upstairs, very cozy.
We have visited Hapa Sushi multiple times and this is the first time we were never seated for our reservation. Very unfortunate. I had made a reservation and even though they had called to confirm, they were so over booked that they never seated us. They said they would but never did. I've never had such poor service.
Been to the restaurant numerous times. It was NYE so naturally it was packed. Large parties that were more interested in chatting than eating. Our reservation was 30 minutes late. Luckily we weren't in a hurry but service was impacted. Didn't get our water refilled, no side plates, no wasabi or ginger. Please note this is not a common occurrence just during busy times.
The food was really good and we got to sit at the sushi bar so we could watch the cooks roll the sushi
In town visiting from Minnesota. Checked this place out before heading to a hockey game at Pepsi center. Not only was the service exceptional but the food was great too! They also have great happy hour deals. We highly recommend and will be back whenever in town.
Only complaint was how cold it was in there. Server and host staff were nice
Smart casual atmosphere and loved all the infused dishes
This is a fabulous sushi restaurant. Lots of outstanding choices. Fresh and nicely presented. Good was really good. Only a couple of blocks from Union Station. Also very good service.
The food was great. The atmosphere was nice. The happy hour choices were awesome! The waitress was on an off with service.
We loved the happy hour! Apps and rolls were super creative. Flavors were on point. Definitely try the Magic Mushroom (no mushrooms in it) salmon appetizer. Out of this world! Thanks a lot! We will be back next time we visit Denver (from Boston.)
Love the happy hour. Excellent customer service. Wonderful vibe.
Enjoyed our meal very much. Everything was delicious. Service was great.
Great service, friendly, and great flavors! He beat sushi in Colorado, by far.
Happy hour was awesome. KaVaughn was awesome
This is my favorite sushi place EVER!!! I’ve compared to other sushi restaurants all over CO and several other states when I travel and I can’t wait to get back to HAPA!!! We drive 60 miles ... one way.. to have dinner here at least twice a month!! We need one in Fort Collins!!
Celebration dinner for my son's 21st bday. The svc and food were great! Extensive selections of beer and Sake to please everyone. Great music by live DJ.
