Great food and the service was fantastic
The magic mushrooms was bland. The one at Greenwood Village is a lot better. And the asparagus sushi was really small.
Monkey brain is amazing. Sushi is even better. Really cool place
Sashimi was excellent. My sushi was okay. The sake was great as well as the service
Go during happy hour! Amazing prices on high quality sushi & drinks.
Love Hapa Happy Hour!
Friends always gather here for happy hour every few months and it’s never a dull moment. Food is always amazing!
Food was amazing!!! Saki too
We went early for dinner before a Mammoth Lacrosse game at the Pepsi Center and were surprised to find out they have a happy hour with discounted prices on food! It was our first time here and we will definitely be back!! Our daughter dances for the Wild Bunch and recommended this restaurant as a favorite of her teams. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the various menus offerings. The food was spectacular! Service was fast so we easily walked over to the game and were on time for the pre-game hoopla. Tusk UP!
I love that they have gluten free options, and a whole separate gluten free sushi menu! yum!
We were visiting and celebrating our anniversary. I’m not sure what the hype is all about. We were seated up stairs, the other two tables were full so it was pretty tight. The music was very loud, a little to hard to hear my husband across from me. The miso soup was really good, the seasoned edamame was different. We ordered six rolls, and was given a million plates when the table was already very small. Would have been smart to put it in one large plate. We waited forever for low sodium soy sauce and spicy mayo (which isn’t even a hairline of spice). Some of the rice was still hard, a lot of the sushi fell apart. We made the best of it. Felt like it was a bit over priced. We love sushi and kinda left disappointed.
Great happy hour! Delicious sushi served quickly!
Good space, good eats, great service
The restaurant was wonderful and our waitress Madison was amazing! The happy hour is the best!!!
Just good food, great location and nice atmosphere.
We were visiting Denver and spending our NYEve downtown!! I wanted to have a really nice dinner with my family!! I searched for a sushi restaurant and came across Hapa!!! Everything was excellent!! I reserved our dinner date/time online, via Opentable, and was not disappointed!! It was super easy and convenient!! The service and food was excellent!! We will be returning and using Opentable when we’re in Denver!! Thank you Hapa and Opentable!!!
Hapa Sushi is an absolutely perfect sushi spot in downtown Denver. Their selection of sake, appetizers, and sushi is amazing as well as the overall quality and presentation. The service is always perfect, even when it’s a bit slow.
Always love the food and quality. This particular time our service was poor, we also know this isn’t typical here.
A bit loud but the food was good. Atmosphere was nice upstairs and away from other diners.
We had a fabulous and fun meal at Hapa. We highly recommend it!
The incredibly loud noise made the meal uncomfortable. Service was excellent and choice of sushi superb. Couldn't wait to get out on the street and away from the noise.
I love Hapa on any normal day; however, I was especially impressed with them on my visit this Saturday because I used Open Table for the first time and accidentally only booked a table for two people (instead of 6!) and they accommodated us with ease. They were so kind and friendly about the mixup and, as usual, the food was awesome! We love the Magic Mushrooms, Wagyu beef, gyoza, and tempura vegetables. My daughter likes the Monkey Brains as well (not real monkey brains!)., while my little one loves the PB&J sushi rolls. Yum!!!
Delicious sushi and great service!
Loved it! The food was amazing and the service excellent.
Outstanding service from the hostess to the server to the sushi chef. Quality and taste of the sushi was good ... not great ... but good. Maguro was good, Hamachi had good flavor but had mushy texture, Salmon was okay if not weak in flavor, tamago was tasty but very thin and mushy as if it were a bit undercooked, masago with quail eggs was actually the best item and our two rolls were both very good. Total bill for two rolls and eight nigiri sushi was $100, so a bit pricey.
The Glass House roll w Garlic Sake butter is amazing. Garlic Sake butter would probably be good on a shoe...
One of my favorite places to eat for comfort food!
Great experience overall. They recognized it was my birthday, great food.
Always enjoy eating here, food is good, waiters are very friendly.
Met up with locals who recommended this and had a table upstairs with good service, fabulous food (especially their specialty rolls) and a fun evening. Only bothered a bit by the raucous party at the next table who were having fun, so didn't mind so much. But would definitely go back.
The food was great but we sat next to a party of about 30 people and could hardly hear each-other the entire dinner- great service- too loud- and slower than usual servers but I can understand a busy night- nonetheless Hapa is always great
Always love sushi from here. It’s my go to in Denver.
We liked the food, and the wait staff was excellent, but with as quiet as it was the conversations of the other staff were very loud and not exactly work appropriate. We started with a shared pleasure of French toast the raspberry sauce and flavor was good it was deposited and had a lovely crunch without being overly greasy. We each had brunch I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs, the food was amazing. My wife had the crepe of the day, it was not as good, she loves crepes, but there was no option for a sweet crepe, only the savory version which she does not like as much. Our only real issue was the discussion that was going on in the kitchen area about preferred gun choices in some video game that could be hated from 20 yds away.
We celebrated our friends birthday and it was the perfect spot to do so. Super fun vibe, great drink selections, and the sushi was sooo good! I’d love to come back!
Staff was friendly and food was quick.
This is not your ordinary sushi restaurant. This is the fourth or fifth time I have dined here and it is always excellent. They make very unique items like Daikon fries, and chili aïoli jalapeño rolls with tempura shrimp- just a couple of examples. The cocktails are always excellent also.
Great variety and unique roll combos. Sushi fresh and well made. Service was excellent. I highly recommend the Surf & Turf roll.
The food was great and we truly enjoyed a nice meal as a family!
