About Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Landmark in Greenwood Village
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun!

Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Landmark in Greenwood Village Ratings and Reviews
We made reservations for Valentine’s Day. The place was packed with people. We checked in with the hostess who politely informed us they are backed up about 15-20 minutes because people were staying later than usual. It was no big deal, we went to the lounge area ordered a drink and snacked on some complimentary edamame while we waited. Despite the wait, we enjoyed our food (as always) and the service was great even as busy as they were.
Good place to try some good sushi. but i do not think reservation really worked here. I reserved a table for 2 at 7, yet i had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. Also they do not have a good waiting area. I was bit disappointed at first as people didnt tell me how long it will take. But once i got seated, it was an awesome experience. Food is good our server was awesome and everything else was good.
Our reservations were on Valentine’s Day. MDe them a week in advance. Hostess called earlier in the day to confirm. We arrived on time but the restaurant over booked. Our reservations were 25-30 minutes late. Food was ok. We have been there several other times when the food and service was great. I will rethink reservations on a holiday going forward
Was pretty disappointed in our experience at Hapa on the 14th.
1. We were rushed through the meal - they literally were asking us every 2 seconds if we were done with components of our meal so they could clear our plate.
2. They waited for us to give them a credit card once they put the bill down
3. They returned the bill back to us and didn't even say thank you for coming, have a good night- just dropped it and walked off.
4. The whole meal people were standing over tables updating times to say when we would be done.
5. no offer for coffee- no dessert menus- they honestly just wanted us to go.
It was rushed, and the service was not great.
I am a regular Hapa visitor, so was obviously disappointed.
We went for my birthday prior to going to a show at Comedy Works and had a great time. We got there in time for Happy Hour and took advantage of some great drink specials and a few apps. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Our server was attentive and made sure we were out of there in plenty of time for the show. We were very pleased by both the service and the food. I would absolutely recommend this place.
The wait staff were great - friendly and efficient. Can't say they were forward-looking because we kept running out of wasabi and Ginger and had to wait to ask for some each time. But the atmosphere was ruined with two different crying babies right behind my seat (one early in the dinner and one at the end). I'm a parent myself, so I totally get it. But on a date night when I've paid for a sitter, it was quite a disappointment.
The only disappointing thing was I had made the reservation 5 days in advance and we were a party of 5 adults put at a 4 person table. Several 6 tops had fewer than 4 people. Seemed like the staff could have done a better job with table seating. Especially for a birthday that required more table space.
Reservation was at 7:30, we were not sat until 8:00. Manager offered drinks and appetizers but that didn't help the fact that we had 2 friends that drove quite a distance to meet us and wanted to meet early for dinner. The place is VERY LOUD and it was difficult to carry on a conversation with 6 people. Service was slow. Had to reorder drinks a few times because they were never ordered in the first place. Sushi was fine, nothing spectacular. Better places to have sushi with better service.
