Dinner was great, but it took a really long time from when we sat down to order. Our sushi came before our appetizers and we only got our appetizers after we asked about them (an hour after we sat down). Overall I would try again, but would be skeptical. They gave us 15% off for the trouble, so at least they acknowledged it. Overall it was just an ok experience.
We sat outside which was a mistake, but the person who made the decision wasn’t part of our original party, so don’t give them a vote if you want to be comfortable. Everything else was great, except food sitting in the sun, especially sushi is gross when it’s warm. A repeat of don’t sit outside at a sushi place.
I'm a simpleton with sushi, so I'm not a huge fan of the way Hapa does sushi. It's very overwhelming and negates the taste of the actual fish. But some people love that, so if that is your thing, you should check it out.
Great food and service
Great food and service!
From the start it was great. The hostess was super nice and greeted us enthusiastically. The Restaurant was busy and somewhat loud but we could have a conversation at our table. The waiter made great recommendations.
It’s was great! Thanks see you again soon.
Always a pleasure to visit when traveling through Denver.
Amazing sashimi, rich desserts, service at top level.
Love this place, one of my favorites to go to! Great place to gather with a small group of friends!
Always reliably decent but also always loud and packed.
Felt rushed by server. He wanted to clear plates when we still had food on them. Same with asking for the check when we hadn’t put cards in and stood up the carrier.
This is my favorite “go to” restaurant. I’ve never been disappointed.
A wonderful selection of expertly prepared fresh fish !
Great food and service!
The food was good as always. We had a reservation and still had to wait for 15 min on a Saturday at 5:30. The noise level was such that it was difficult for our waiter to hear our order but otherwise service was good.
We love this place! Such great service and sushi! It has a vibrant feel to it! This is our go to place for great sushi
Great spot for Happy Hour on an early Saturday afternoon. Dishes were served quickly and removed promptly to make way for the next round of plates. Happy Hour menu has enough choices for a group of 4 to not go away wishing for more.
We had a great dinner at Hapa in Friday, my only complaint and it is slight, our table was small for 5, but the manager tried his best to overcome. We had a wonderful meal, the service was outstanding and we had a blast but we had to eat to make room for the new dishes arriving, it was Friday night so Hapa did the best they could and I appreciate this. We will continue to frequent Hapa as it is our favorite in the area.
It was crazy busy at 7:15 on a Friday night and we had made reservations for 7:15. There tons of people in line that were just walking in and I was afraid we would have to wait for our table to be ready. When we got up to the hostess, she informed us our table was ready and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was outstanding - I took my 13 year -old twins and it is our favorite.
We were in Denver for just a couple days and wanted to have the best sushi we could. Read great reviews on this place and we were not disappointed. The food was amazing! The service was outstanding. Highly recommended.
The noise level was not energetic. It was obnoxious and sickening!!
Although the fish is fresh, I cannot recommend this place to anyone. At 10 PM, our quiet dinner turned into a nightmarish loud barrage of offensive rap music. Others were disturbed by this noise too. One gentleman tried to talk to the DJ, but apparently got the brush off, because the loud garbage continued to play. A table next to us had a little baby who was clearly upset by the loud noise. I don't know what Hapa is trying to appeal to - cheap people eating happy hour rolls, I guess? Clearly, they are not interested in assuring an enjoyable evening for the middle-aged couples and the families with small children that made up most of the crowd in the restaurant at the time. I lost my appetite. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO HAPA SUSHI.
Great food and great service.
Great food, great service just a bit loud.
The server was wonderful considering we came in with children. And the food is always pretty great!
Great food and great service. I’ve been to 2 other locations, Cherry Creek and Blake Street, and this is definitely the best of the 3.
Went for a date night. We had a 5:30 pm reservation and were very surprised how busy it was. Our table wasn’t ready right away so they gave us a complimentary edemame. Everything else was great. Delicious sushi, and great ambiance.
The service and food were great. The layout of the restaurant seemed to be a bit out of touch.
Amazing sushi amazing vibes my friends and i love it
Our table was not ready when we arrived but the manager took excellent care of us to accommodate. He was super attentive and apologetic that they were behind. It made all the difference and the food was excellent. Lobster in a sushi roll was amazing! We will definitely be back!
The manager was very nice. It took about 15 min for our table to be open. He brought us edemame while we waited and gave us our choice of another appetizer when we got to our table. Very considerate of his patrons.
We will be back. Thanks
Great location (but hard to find). Parking can be a problem. Food was very good, service was excellent and server was very helpful and responsive. Would highly recommend.
They were so behind on Valentine’s Day reservations but the manager and staff were very calm collected and accommodating.
Extremely satisfied with the food like always! Little disappointed that my 8:15 reservation took 30 minutes to be seated... Other than that the staff and the food is always fantastic!!!
We made reservations for Valentine’s Day. The place was packed with people. We checked in with the hostess who politely informed us they are backed up about 15-20 minutes because people were staying later than usual. It was no big deal, we went to the lounge area ordered a drink and snacked on some complimentary edamame while we waited. Despite the wait, we enjoyed our food (as always) and the service was great even as busy as they were.
Good place to try some good sushi. but i do not think reservation really worked here. I reserved a table for 2 at 7, yet i had to wait 20 minutes to get seated. Also they do not have a good waiting area. I was bit disappointed at first as people didnt tell me how long it will take. But once i got seated, it was an awesome experience. Food is good our server was awesome and everything else was good.
Our reservations were on Valentine’s Day. MDe them a week in advance. Hostess called earlier in the day to confirm. We arrived on time but the restaurant over booked. Our reservations were 25-30 minutes late. Food was ok. We have been there several other times when the food and service was great. I will rethink reservations on a holiday going forward
The ambience on Valentines Day was just perfect! This was a repeat dinning experience two years in a row, now an annual event. The sushi chef was amazing and polite during this very busy holiday. The beautiful flowers were placed throughout the restaurant.
Was pretty disappointed in our experience at Hapa on the 14th.
1. We were rushed through the meal - they literally were asking us every 2 seconds if we were done with components of our meal so they could clear our plate.
2. They waited for us to give them a credit card once they put the bill down
3. They returned the bill back to us and didn't even say thank you for coming, have a good night- just dropped it and walked off.
4. The whole meal people were standing over tables updating times to say when we would be done.
5. no offer for coffee- no dessert menus- they honestly just wanted us to go.
It was rushed, and the service was not great.
I am a regular Hapa visitor, so was obviously disappointed.
Lovely great service, food, ambiance
