I love Hapa but normally go to the Downtown location. We went to Cherry Creek for my husbands birthday and our waiter was awful! We waited for our check for over a half hour. He made eye contact with us several times and chose not to come over. I would have been perfectly fine if he had acknowledged us more than once the whole night or apologized for the lack of service. We were wanting to order dessert, but by the time he came over we just wanted our check and to go home. We had over a roll of sushi left and he grabbed the plate and started to put trash on it. He never asked if we wanted a box. I had to tell him to stop and box it up. The food was great but our service was horrible. It's too bad this had to happen on my husband's birthday celebration. Ruined our good moods and altered our plans for the night since we waiting so long to pay the bill.
I didn't like that they seat people right next to each other instead of spacing them out around the restaurant. You are almost an active participant in the people's conversation that are setting next to you without intentionally wanting to be.
The hostesses were rude. Our reservation was not ready and we waited 15 minutes for a table with three small children. Because of our children we were treated as inconvenient.
great location; better for evening. dinner with an old friend was perfect.
Great food. Service was good too. The drink menu and the names of the rolls were tremendous! Fantastic evening. Will come back. Check out the location in Boulder also. Very good.
Great experience! We had a fantastic Valentines Day dinner!
Walked in and almost walked into the host booth it was so close. Super small, really crowded, nothing like the pictures. Got sat at a table which was about 3 feet from the table next to us. Literally could have held the people next to me hand. Sat down and got soy sauce poured all over my table..Went for a valentines date and good thing I have an awesome girlfriend or it would have been a complete failure due to the environment and food. This place is a lie.
Hapa is our go to Sushi restaurant. Great food, service and value. Never disappointed.
I had a reservation for 6PM, however there was not a table until about 7PM and we had to sit in the bar to wait. What is the point of making reservations if you can't sit down to eat when you asked for a specific time?
Shortly after seating one of the waiters brought beverages and dumped a cup of water on my 7 year old girls lap, did not apologize or attempt to help.
Waitress was coughing throughout service.
Majority of rice used for first order of Nigiri was underdone and half of the portions protein was literally a half of a portion. One of the rolls ordered was bad enough that we had to send it back, replacement roll was better. During service waitress stepped on my foot twice, looked down and them smiled at me with no apology.
Second order of Nigiri was delicious, not sure what changed other than possibly prepared by different chef.
Neither will we return to this restaurant, not will we recommend to friends.
Great sushi find in Denver! We'll be returning often.
Always a great time. Everything was delicious and comfortable. Love it every time.
The wait staff was very attentive and the food was yummy.
This has been my favorite sushi place for the past 5 years! The names of the dishes, the taste, and the atmosphere are always stunning! I suggest Hapa for anyone and everyone!
Nice new place for us and we will try to stop by again when we are in town.
Always consistently good with upbeat attitude! Vibrant, a little noisy but great to meet another couple for date night.
Good gluten free options, but expensive
Awesome experience last week. Since Hapa's was so crowded, we had to wait a little while after our reservation time. Then we were treated extremely well by the staff, and even received a spicy tuna salad for 3 as an apology for lateness. Food is GREAT. Lobster roll is to die for. Great Choice of Sake's. Will be a frequent diner with friends there. Thanks again Hapa's!
Ordered our hearts out (4 rolls for three of us)! Got sake, an app and dessert and were still pleasantly surprised that we paid $40/person. Even better is being able to make a reservation as I've gone before and had to wait forever...at least the bar area is nice to wait in! They brought us complementary edemame since we had to wait 5 minutes for our table - thanks Hapa!
Only complaint is they brought the organism roll out with the other rolls, it should come out last/later served hot. Start doing that again!
Sushi rolls are delicious ! Service is good too! They brought a wrong dish and let us keep it without charging!
Tools and sashimi was cut a little big....
Good dinner, nice seasonal drink specials. The sushi here always is a pleaser for our family. We were running a few minutes late and a call to the hostess reassured us that this would not be a problem. Remarkably easy parking in Cherry Creek too. Yummy dessert!
Karen couldn't have been more knowledgeable and hospitable. She made our outing memorable - delicious fish 🦀🐙👌🏼🐟
always good, appreciated the excellent service. Made our birthday celebration one to remember
Great service! Reliably good sushi!
I was pleasantly surprised to be able to request a reservation online just a few hours before we hoped to eat. When we found out we would be a little late and called to let the restaurant know they plesntly moved our reservation back for us. When we arrived all the hosts smiled and we were given the option to sit at a table or at the sushi bar. Our server was very nice and prompt. All the food was delicious! I recommend the booty call roll for sure! I enjoy Hapa for a nice weekend lunch or a dinner date out!
Amazing food, and always amazing service. I reccomend it to anyone who wants good food for good value.
This was my first time here at this restaurant and it was a good experience. I am just getting to start to like sushi and I loved what I had tried. Loved the desserts, too!
Hapa is one of our go to sushi spots; has been so for many years. Creative rolls, excellent drink menu, fresh sashimi, chill music and gear service in the heart of Cherry Creek North.
Our table was not ready when we arrived in time for our reservation (even though it was not being used). The service was terrible. My husband waited at least 20 minutes for his beer. My sushi came out but we waited almost an hour for my husband's & daughter's sushi. Finally someone came over & apologized. They gave us a discount on the meal but I don't think we'll go back any time soon.
Great food, service and cleanliness. Enjoy all the great selections.
Food was delicious, the server was ok, made some mistakes but the manager came over and saw what was happening and made it all better, even offered to take off the dish from the bill and payed for dessert. Excellent customer service and the food is super fresh.
I always enjoy eating at Hapa Sushi, but I love their happy hour. Great food and drink!
The food was good and the service was, too. The interior is heavy on metal decor, and with two screaming children at the next table, it was a quick trip to migraine territory. The rolls seemed a bit "dainty" compared to most sushi restaurants.
Always wonderful no matter how many times we dine at Hapa. Great service as well. We ordered a variety of appetizers, all great - my personal favorite, Magic Mushrooms. We also ordered a number of rolls, my favorite, salmon and avocado. Hot sake along with the food was perfect. I highly recommend Hapa Sushi and I have dined at all of the Denver Metro restaurants and I have to say, they are all wonderful!
Enjoyed the dinner very much. Great sushi rolls and presentation! We'll be back!
Awesome sashimi. Awesome service.
Will definitely be back
Colorado style hamachi is amazing here. The sushi quality is great. Better than other locations.
We sat at the sushi bar. Great service. Fresh! Delicious! Our favorite roll was 'monkey brains' . Will return.
