Love Hapa Sushi! Only suggestion I have is this location needs a bigger entrance for guests to wait for seating. Prefer the Hapa at The Landmark better
Superb Asian - fusion tuna nachos and gyoza. Best sushi I have ever eaten, with lovely presentation and impressive quality and quantity.
Took our 10 year old grandson for a birthday meal - restaurant was his choice - and it was perfect! We had to wait a few minutes for our table so they brought us edemame on the House, and then treated him to a free dessert. Wait staff was friendly and efficient, food was tasty and nicely presented. Will definitely return when I’m shopping in Cherry Creek.
For our time slot we didn’t end up needing a reservation as the restaurant was fairly empty due to it being late on Sunday. Great vibes and ambiance, very quiet as well which is a change from the normal bustle. Good service as well.
Food so good it turned me into a fish.
I love the food at this restaurant. It’s probably the best sushi in Colorado. The price is decent, not overly expensive. I gave it 4 stars because it is loud and the tables are almost on top of each other. You are literally 1-2 feet from the next table. There is very little privacy and you can hear everyone else’s conversations. Overall, it is a great restaurant though.
A little loud, but that’s to be expected during prime time dinner on a Friday night. Delicious food and great service as always!
Great ambiance. The Sushi was delicious and the service was A-1.
If you are not there for sushi, it is fine. But the sushi itself is mediocre at best. Maguro was virtually without flavor.
Consistent sushi served well.
Wonderful experience as always. We went on Saturday for an early dinner and their happy hour prices were still going, which was great! Overall always a good time at Hapa.
We have been to this Hapa several times, but this was by far the best experience we have had. The staff and manager went above and beyond to accommodate us. Such a great meal, lots of new rolls and specials. Highly recommend Hapa for your sushi fix.
Me and the girlfriend had a very nice time
Been here frequently of late and always good. Great selection and very well prepared sushi, which is the real reason for going there.
The sushi was awesome, priced nice (happy hour), and very unique! The only problem I had was it was too dark and had difficulty reading the menu LOL! We will definitely be back!
Not all members of our family like sushi, so this is a great place to go when we get the off chance; Open Table is great for last minute reservations here. The sushi is great here and even though one of the rice side wasn’t on the menu anymore, our server was able to get them to make it for us! We truly appreciate the great service.
If you’re going for a birthday, you’d love this place. Food, music and ambiance is really hard to find and this place I’ve visited more than a couple of times whether it is for a date, friends or family; birthdays and etc, it’s just overall a great place to be and the food is GREAT! We have had Christian and Courtney who have stand out to my partner and I and I would suggest you ask for them and tip them very well. They’re all totally worth it!
Dragon roll is delicious. Lunch time parking for this restaurant is definitely a problem.
Hapa Cherry Creek is the best kept secret for great sushi at reasonable prices. Go during HH and take advantage of the specially priced menu!
We had a great time for a birthday celebration.
A beginner's sushi menu. Uninspired versions of a California roll and not much else. I wouldn't recommend going here for sushi at all.
Colin was the best server ever! Very polite, attentive, brought the food out hot and 👀 🍬 as well 😉 😉
The waitress started by asking if we wanted anything to drink, we asked do you have a drink list with special martini's, her response was No we don't. After receiving the menu's we noticed that they have a whole list of specialty drinks, including martinis. After that we found the food to be good and the service to be less than attentive. The ambiance is lacking, but if you're just looking to have some sushi, I would consider the food to be good.
Fine experience. Service was good, food was good.
Nothing special. Bit bummed to see happy hour prices were increased again but what can you do..!
We have lived in Washington Park
For two years and this was our first visit. I was in search of a sushi restaurant havibg high reviews for date night. We were not disappointed in the least. The sushimi was fantastic! Try the tuna or hamachi. We shared a seaweed salad and cucumber salad which was delicious and fresh. In addition, a speciality roll as well but was nothing to rave about.
We enjoyed a great bottle of Negri Sake.
Kevin our sushi chef did a great job and Joe our server was friendly, attentive, providing great service. We will definitely be back.
Exotic maki rolls with excellent flavors. Kyle, our server, was quite friendly and courteous; and the menu is intriguing: Hard to make choices, unless your taste-buds are not adventurous. We started with the fantastic Kalua Pork Peking Wraps, which are like Peking Duck wraps (Thin pancakes, hoisin sauce, etc...Wow!!) And then, we tried two simple maki rolls (Shrimp tempura and Spider rolls), that were really, really good, and the Surf and Turf roll that is more exotic: Lobster tempura, asparagus and Wagyu beef with a great sauce...YUMMY!!!
Gotta go back for more!!
We were celebrating our son's new home at the University of Denver as he starts his adventure as a freshman. We loved the creative combinations, fabulous flavors, and names for the sushi rolls. We will be back.
Always good food and drink at Hapa Sushi. Love the happy hour!
The service was very good--attentive and helpful with selections for my nine year old who was enthusiastic and open minded about trying many kinds of sushi (he loved the octopus the best--go figure).
However, it seems that Hapa's emphasis on rolls (they don't even have a nigiri section on the menu--just a plethora of rolls, often with strong sauces, and a small sashimi section) disguises that the quality of the fish seems to have gone down noticeably. We had mostly sashimi, and it really didn't seem very fresh. This was true across almost all varieties of fish--maguro, yellowtail, albacore, mackerel. Only the salmon and whitefish seemed of the freshness I would expect from a good sushi restaurant. It was enough of a cautionary tale that this probably removes Hapa from my list of go-to sushi restaurants. There are plenty of fish in the sea, after all.
Our waiter was incredible (really tall younger gentleman)! Great service, kid friendly and with two kids gluten free, it was great they had a separate GF menu. Had a great time all said. Only neutral comment is the sushi is just okay.
Overall really good experience, I'm more into the smaller more mom & pop kind sushi shops but I enjoyed myself here. The veggie gyoza was delicious & also the vegetable roll made me smile. They give you a kind of order it yourself menu with all your menus when they seat you, but you don't really use it. My boyfriend really liked his climax roll.
Meal not as good as Landmark Hapa Sushi. Sashimi not cut well - large fat unflavorful slices. Disappointing for the second time.
Have been there before and sushi always been great, but went there this time especially because of the gluten-free menu for friend, and it matched the regular fare. Even had soy sauce replacement. Only thing was that wasn't sure about the wasabi, but didn't ask either. Needs to be real thing with no fillers, which you often get in some places. So, definitely would recommend Hapa for your gluten-sensitive friends. Great food. Waiter was on top of what was needed.
Food was great, service was just ok. He was slow and forgot to check in on us. Restaurant wasn't too busy, he seemed distracted.
Hapa's happy hour is awesome! We order so many happy hour menu choices that we hardly have room for anything else.
Happy Hour is great. Service is a hit or miss - this time was really good.
It's was very good !!! We come here each time we are in Denver.
I love the creative menu at Hapa. I love that it is quiet and conversation is possible. The option to eat outside makes if perfect for summer days.
Everything is always great! The food, the service and the value! I love the Happy Hour when I can get all sorts of special deals on appetizers, drinks and rolls. I look forward to returning!
