   Came to this location for the first time. Have tried most of their other locations. Music like all their locations was way too loud. Turn down the music. Good was decent. Hapa wings were tasteless. Could of used some seasoning or some lemon in the side. The portions are smaller than at Robson St. Location. The prawns in Ebi mayo seemed a lot smaller too. The mixed mushroom in stone bowl was good. Service was ok.

   Four of us ventured to try Izakaya style eating for the first time and thought we'd give Hapa Izakaya a try. It was a wonderful experience. My boyfriend was a little disappointed with the sizes of the dishes. But that is all part of the sharing/small plates concept of izakaya. The other 2 girls and I enjoyed the sharing style and tasting different flavors. I think it would be something I would do again with the girls. I also loved the vibrant atmosphere at Hapa Izakaya.

   This place is both tasty and fun, so it's great for casual get-togethers . SInce it's tapas-style Japanese, it is a nice bonding experience. We have several favourite dishes which our friends have also enjoyed, but I keep wishing that they'd bring back the chocolate ear grey ice cream ;)

   I was there with my girlfriends for dinner and drinks. We loved the happy hour menu and we enjoyed great food and drinks. It is pretty noisy so you should be aware of that.

   This is a must do each time i am in Vancouver. IDeal with small groups to share plates. Very noisy though so not for quiet conversation.

   Had to wait about 15 min for our reserved table, hostess wasn't very friendly at the start of the our visit. However, our server was extremely patient and helpful with our group. Food was excellent - chipotle beef rice bowl and grilled squid was delicious.

   We went to Hapa 2 or 3 times every month for group gathering and the food is always good. The happy hour price, half price, usually 10-15 per person, very reasonable range. The service is good and quick.

    I loved eating at Happa and I always go here with my friends. I love the food and thats what keeps me coming back. the service is really bad, something in my order is always forgotten and sometimes it feels like im bothering my waitress when i remind her. Also the mango miso for the tropical is a horrible idea and you should rethink that idea because it tastes like artificial bubble gum.
