Amazing food and service
The server was outstanding and the food was delicouso!!
I will be back to Hank's Seafood Restaurant as this restaurant is my favorite in Charleston, SC
Really enjoyed having dinner at Hank's. The service was perfect, the food was delicious. I actually had the southern comfort meal and it was great. The grouper with risotto was very tasty as well.
Had a great meal
Amazing, as always! Food was wonderful.
My husband always gets the shrimp and grits and swears they are the best in Charleston. Make your reservations early!
Hank’s is ALWAYS outstanding. Great food, great service, great cocktails, great atmosphere!
Always an amazing experience. Best seafood in Charleston. Great atmosphere. Service is great. Overall great place for all occasions.
This is our second visit to Hank’s and it did not disappoint! The seared scallops were so good the first time I had to get them again. Hubby had the mahi-mahi special and we both had salads which were very fresh. Portions are just right and the adult beverage prices were very reasonable. Excellent service. It’ll be on our must do list on our next visit for sure!
Food and service were great. The noise level was higher than I like, but the food and service made it much more bearable.
Nice atmosphere and prompt service. I don’t eat seafood so I ordered the one beef option. Came a little over done and lacked a little flavor, but the two sides were delish!
Great! Everything was fantastic!
First class service. 2nd time eating here and the food is always extremely fresh and amazing.
Always great food and great service. Best seafood in town and beef and desserts are fantastic too! When guests come to town, this is where we go.
Our party of 5 was able to sit at one of the round booths which made conversation easy. Our server, Luca, was outstanding. He had a nice sense of humor, was prompt with our request and extremely professional. Our meal did not disappoint! They allowed substitutions allowing me to try the fried chicken with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese grits which was so good! The she crab soup was as good as Ive ever had. I would highly recommend especially since they take reservations.
Food was spot on. Great flavors and unique dishes. Whiskey was good too.
Was not only exceptional service and atmosphere, but easily some of the best seafood I have ever had!!
Food was delicious without being too rich. Fried mashed potatoes were a neat twist.
Service was key here! Luca was an exceptional server! Everything was prepared perfectly too. All in all one of the best places to eat when in Charleston!
Always a great place to eat.
Excellent dinner with friends. Service was phenomenal. Go!!!
Service first rate. Food was good, quite good, but it wasn't memorable meal, if that makes sense . It was a bit loud, and we had to pay to park, which for Charleston, is par for the course. Prices were not exorbitant. I would go back, but not in a super big hurry.
It was awesome! We started with fried oysters that were so fresh and succulent! Hubby had the snapper special and I had a seafood medley in saffron sauce. We paired it with a lovely chenin blanc at our waiter's suggestion. Luca was great!! We finished our dinner, as we often do, with some dessert wines. Hubby chose a 20 year tawny port and I chose a malmsey Madiera. Great night!
Very nice place with wonderful food and outstanding service.
Best seafood I’ve ever had! Great atmosphere and service as well. Would definitely go back again.
It was a great meal... excellent food and great service. Their special dishes are great and unique. The she-crab soup was outstanding as was my roasted grouper. My wife’s seafood platter was just as expected.
Our waiter Casey’s level of expertise and attention were perfect — he answered questions and anticipated our needs, but left us alone to talk. Perfect service!
It is a classic southern restaurant— classy but comfortable. Reservations are a must! It is popular and deserving of its popularity!
Long time favorite in Charleston. Best seafood anywhere. Perfect martinis. Really worth a visit for really delicious southern classics- fried seafood platter (yes, you can get that in other places but this is the gold standard), best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had, and the service has always been great.
A better experience the first time we were there. Food was ordinary, at best. Felt rushed as it appears it is geared to the tourist customers.
Exceptional dining experience. Grouper special was superb. Oyster stew had lots of tasty oysters in a delicious broth. Wait staff was formed and attentive. Low noise level made conversation easy. Great spot for a special occasion, our 40th anniversary.
I don't know what we did to annoy our waitress but we must have done something because she basically ignored us. Food was ok but the lack of service just ruined it.
Nice place. Lobster and oysters were good. Birthday celebration for my granddaughter. She loved the place.
I love this place. Food and service were incredible. We had the La Wando which was delicious, unique and beautiful. Pimento cheese grits are excellent also. Would highly recommend
Our server Matthew was patient and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed his recommendations. We will definitely visit again when we are back is Charleston.
the best place to eat seafood in charleston. highly recommend.
Sat us 30 minutes late past the time of our reservation. Took another 15 to have waiter come by and get our drink order. Brought food with ingredient we asked to be taken off. All of these incidents were really without apology and service was overall aloof. I think the food must save this place, as our meals were really good. There are just too many good restaurants in Charleston to have a place operated so poorly. We won’t be returning.
All of the food was great but, the oysters casino was excellent.
Service was very good and the food was good. Surprised that the shrimp and grits were tomato based and not very creamy.
Freshest scallops and shrimp I've ever eaten in a restaurant. Traveled to Charleston for a concert and made dinner reservations at Hank's for afterwards. Though it was late, there were still several parties there. Our server (sorry that I don't recall her name) was excellent; attentive but not bothersome. I moved to Columbia from a coastal town and I miss the fresh seafood dearly - Hank's satisfied that longing. Will dine at Hank's again anytime I have the opportunity.
While it's always busy the waitstaff is awesome and the food was excellent, the only thing is that the guy clearing some of the dishes knocked over my wife glass of wine which was about half full or a little more, he cleaned it up but didnt offer to replace it. Other than that was awesome.
