I went there with a group of five for a birthday and the overall experience was great! The food was delicious for the price and the atmosphere was fun. There was a DJ playing great music and the overall atmosphere was very fun. As a group of girls in our 20s, we would absolutely come back. It was very trendy and very close to the bars if you want to go out after.
Server was great!
Nice, friendly servers that know the menu well. Energetic and busy restaurant with amazing food
Service was excellent and the meal was extremely satisfying
Great food even though portions was a little small for the price i had the chicken. And my wife had the steak salad she said it was delicious but again they are cheap with the steak. Would go again
Love this place! Was very sad when my dessert came out cold. 😭. I drive from west valley bc I love the butter cake.
Ther service was absolutely horrible. I received one refill in an hour and half
They lost our credit card finally found it
The burger was great , the sides were average at best. The creamed corn was like what you get out of can except way more e pensive
The server never came back to the table to ask how our food was. She did however come back with the check and at that point finally took our empty plates
Christmas celebration with friends and family.
Maybe just an off night but service was real slow , drinks were weak and food was just not all that
The food is fine but the noise level is unacceptable. It get's progressively louder for no real reason. I've been twice and the sound levels seem to be getting worse. I can't recommend this place unless you want a loud place with average service.
We stopped in after a movie to grab a bite. We kept it simple with burgers, and since this was our first time here, I have to limit my opinions to what we had. Device was prompt and pleasant. The atmosphere is a little quirky and casual, and pleasant. The wine list may be a bit too, limited, and although there is a group of proprietor’s wide. The burgers were good, but to be candid, you can get as good a burger at many places including Zinburger. We liked it well enough to go back, perhaps for streaks or shops to see how they do. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
This was not one of our best experiences at any restaurant that we had eaten at in Phoenix or the Scottsdale area.
First off, it was Black Friday, and here this restaurant is right across the street from a crazy busy mall and they don’t have enough staff on hand.
We had a reservation so when we arrived a couple minutes early we were told that we would have to wait because they were running way behind because they didn’t have enough staff on hand to seat us. They did warn us that the kitchen was way backed up even though at the time we arrived it was not very crowded.
The best part of her meal with the fries that were season great and had fresh dill on them
Priscilla was our waitress and she did the best that she could do considering the lack of staff.
Short rib dip, Was by far our favorite,
crispy chicken sandwich was boring.
Salt and vinegar dill french fries rocks! Grass fed beef ranch burger with jalapeño was not spicy and had no jalapeño flavor to it at all!
Bulleit Mule was god, It’s hard to mess that up!
With so many choices a fantastic restaurants I WOULD NOT bother going back.
Great spot service was very good, burgers were awesome
We found the food to be superb. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Brussels sprouts were delicious, but the best ever was the Carmel desert that our waitress suggested. Wow!!! The staff were kind and the waitress was attentive and friendly even though she was very busy.
Friday evening reservation for 4. Decent crowd, but room at the bar and other open tables. Good Music and vibe.
Drinks were good
Dinner of 1 pork chop, 1 airline chicken ,wedge salad and short ribs ................................................................ 35 minutes later they acknowledged the issue and offer a free appetizer............20 min later, tepid, salty food is served. Waste of time
Don't come here for the food.
Should have just waited to eat at a different restaurant.
service was very spotty. We received our meal and were half way through eating before we received our 2 cocktails and an iced tea.
Took forever to get our food. Burger wasn’t cooked as requested. Rip-off
The starters offer the best chance of flavors - Skip the steak (wait its a chop house).. Yes skip it.. It's quality is similar to 5:AM steak and egg breakfast in Vegas.. (Although the chef did cook it properly, giving it it's best chance). The hand crafted mixed drinks are unique, beautiful and tasty. (not cheap, but certainly an impressive impression!) If we lived in Scottsdale we would only return for a sip from the bar... never for the food. The creative ideas of whom ever developed the menu are salivating, But what is delivered to the table is lacking. Highly recommend raising food prices and purchasing better quality food ingredients!
Great time. They didn’t have enough dessert which was unfortunate since we were there for a birthday but everything else was amazing.
Went for a quick dinner on a Saturday night. Nice decor and a cool environment but pretty loud if you want to carry on a conversation across the table. Two of us has burgers, one had a chicken patty melt type sandwich and my wife had a Wedge salad with salmon. The burgers were good. On the smaller side but an appropriate portion with nice Brioche buns. No complaints from the diner who had the chicken sandwich. My wife's salad however was poorly presented. Instead of a wedge of Iceberg the small oval plate had two uncut stalks of Romaine with the rest of the ingredients deconstructed on the plate. The plate was so small there was no room to cut up the Romaine and the lower portion of Romaine stalks are tough and woody so you really don't eat them. Wife had to put one of the two stalks on my plate to cut the other and once she cleared that off her plate she took the second stalk and cut it up. Wife was not happy. Lastly we order two plates of "salt and vinegar" fries expecting the vinegar/salt taste you get with salt and vinegar potato chips but no. They were just a bit salty with nearly no vinegar zing.
Been here several times, it's a gem! We were here 2 years ago for the Grand opening, it's even better NOW!
Recommended by a local while we were visiting Scottsdale; food was a little pricey but excellent and service was fantastic. However, the noise level from the bar is EXTREMELY high; not able to carry on a conversation at times.
Open Table had restaurant open on Wednesdays for dinner; we got a call Tuesday from the manager that it was incorrect--she apologized and offered us free drinks and an appetizer to change to another day! Nice!
Fun atmosphere and great food! Came for lunch and enjoyed it very much.
Our food was great and our server, Maddie was awesome.
We enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Our waitress was very nice but ran off too quickly while others still had a refill request.
Family and I were looking for a place to celebrate son's birthday. Atmosphere at Hand Cut was great. Great music, tv's with the game, and felt surprisingly cozy. We ordered the artichoke dip base on the review, fantastic. Also ordered the fries and rings, both were very good. We all ordered sandwiches, the braised rib sandwich and the mushroom burger both deserve an honorable mention.
First let’s say the food was great. The service However was horrible and that’s being nice. If there was a zero star option I’d have picked it.. Waited 10 min for someone to come by and get a drink order.; opted to place food order too. Waited 45 min for our food. Plenty of staff working, not overly busy, just seemed to be lack of customer service. Spoke with manager and she was apologetic and polite. The prices were average for Scottsdale but the service would make me think twice about coming back. Ironically there was a table card that said they were having their 2 year anniversary next week. Doubt they will make it to year 3 based on what we experienced.
Such such delicious food. Good service, great atmosphere, will definitely be back.
The food was fine. I had booked a reservation for a 60th Birthday. When we arrived, no one mentioned the Birthday and they split the party into 2 tables. Not much fun to try and celebrate when you can’t even sit together. I was very disappointed since I had booked this weeks in advance and no one ever said they couldn’t seat us together. Really spoiled the entire party.
When I made the reservation I mentioned it was a special occasion, someone’s birthday. That was never acknowledged. Food was great however our server would only come to the table every 10 minutes or so and it wasn’t that busy...
Food was entirely too salty and greasy. The staff were great though
Incredible food & drinks and service! Thank you for taking care of us maddy
The hostess missed checking us in so I got an Opentable hand slap. Specifically asked for a wheelchair friendly table, not available. Had to ask twice for a high chair. Food was only average, nothing special.
Our reservation was at 6:15 and the DJ was already playing loud music therefore no opportunity for dinner conversation. Our waitress was relatively unattentive. Our drink orders never came so we asked, at which point the manager delivered them personally and comped them. The food was decent, but honestly the poor service and loud music (at 6:15 pm) outweighed and potential the food had to offer.
Worth the drive.
Went for restaurant week. Food was average at best. Wouldn't go back.
Delicious from start to finish. Great service. We were there on a week night so it was a bit slower.
The only complaint would be the food. The appetizer was great but the food went terribly downhill from there. The short ribs were dry and tough, the halibut was very fishy tasting and my filet ordered rare came out well done. The risotto was tasteless. The truffle mashed potatoes were very good. Food overall too salty. Service was good. Will not return here for dinner.
9/10 Gift Card arrives, $25 to get us back in for dinner. I spent over $300 when I was in. $25 wasn’t even 10% of our bill nor would $25 cover dinner for even one person. There is either poor management or they don’t have the authority to really take of customers when there is a problem. Doubt I will return.
9/5. Kevin at Hand Cut contacted me to discuss the issues of our evening. As a gesture a gift card will be mailed out. I’ll try again next time I’m in AZ.
2 plates of food went back to the kitchen. I honestly would have sent mine back as well due to the saltiness. But after 2 plates went back. It was almost embarrassing to ask the server.
I sent an email to the restaurant. Have had zero response.
Make sure when you request a quiet spot you ask to not be seated directly by the bathroom. They are singles and there was a line of people by our table all night long.
I had to ask the server over several times for cocktails and to clear dishes.
At over $50 per person, 7 of us and a 20% gratuity, that I would not have left.
