I had a great burger. Bun was a little big but very tasty. Meat was done perfectly and the fries and rings were very good. I highly recommend.
Steak and salmon were great, sides were cold and average and the speciality drinks need some serious work
Good visit during restaurant week. Steaks for the two of us both came out over cooked. His was ordered medium rare and came out medium well. Mine was ordered medium well and came out well. He sent his back and then got one rare but didn’t want to wait again to get it cooked properly. Food quality was good just poor delivery. Waitress was not attentive (didn’t check on how our steaks were cooked and didn’t refill water). Glad I checked my bill before paying because I was charged for my cocktail that was suppose to be included with the restaurant week menu.
Restaurant has potential but didn’t live up to our expectations. Great concept but needs work to refine the experience.
Request Madison as your server. She does a great job.
Service was awful. When they ask if you want outside seating just know it’s in the walkway of the strip mall. People not dining at the restaurant are sitting on chairs around you talking and vaping. We even got to watch a make out season on one of the couches of some passer bys taking a little make out break. Hostess didn’t seem to care. The chairs outside are adorable but resin so when you move them it’s LOUD.
The restaurant was not busy. The food took forever!!!! Once it did come things were missing. The person that brought the food “went to check” and never came back. Our actual waitress didn’t even come back just to give us the bill. The 34.00 filet was good. House burger good. Salt and vinegar fries good. Baked potato? No idea it never came. Place is cool looking. Service eh, food typical
Will go again. Great place! Food was perfect, service was awesome.
the food was terrible. dry burgers. flavorless salad. bad sides. most people at our table didn’t eat their meals and then our waitress didn’t even ask if everything was ok. she seemed fine clearing full plates.
The ambiance is really welcoming, however this seems to rely on being more trendy and cool than providing great food. A large Pretzel bun doesn't make an average sized meat patty taste better, it simply makes it more filling with bread. I appreciated that grass fed beef was available. My wife ordered the chicken sandwich which was met with mixed reviews (all four of us at the table took a bite) and it was like the burger, simply average. The fries were really good as was the beer and super friendly staff. It was a nice change of pace, however we won't be back.
Great location, convenient free-parking, close to shopping, nice area. Food is freshly made and tasty. Cool atmosphere.
Great waitress but slow food process! Not her fault but the kitchens!
Food was delicious! The service was excellent!
We loved the salt and vinegar fries and the grass fed burgers. We were a party of 7 and our server was amazing! The tables are huge so it’s great for groups.
Great restaurant and food. Service is great. Great ambiance with great music. However....I went on a Friday night and there was a DJ. Which was cool. However around 9 pm tonging day started to get loud and crowded. Not an issue but just giving a heads up to people who go on a Friday night.
One of the best burgers I have ever had! My husband had filet and scallops and he said they were delicious. The onion rings were also amazing!
The service was wonderful and our waiter was very attentive. We never had to ask for anything! We will definitely be back!!
Drinks came really slow, service was slow and our server just kept forgetting things. Food was good when it finally came, and drinks were okay. And the server would take our glasses before we were done drinking.
Seriously, one of the best grass fed burgers I’ve EVER had! Worth the drive!
The food was great but everything took a
Dinner with friend from college and meeting of each other’s spouses. Fried zucchini and spinach artichoke dip appetizers were tasty but were similar to ones I’ve had at other restaurants. Cocktails were excellent. Dinner was okay for our spouses but I really enjoyed my wedge salad w/chicken and my friend thought her burger was “delicious.” Will definitely go back.
We had an excellent experience! The bartender, the server, the food and the entire atmosphere was wonderful. It was our first time in this establishment and we will definitely be back.
The noise was too much. It was 6:30, lots if open seating. I think it would be a much better experience if the music was cranked down a bit. We couldn’t talk across booth table!
The timing of the food was terrible. We got adults food but our children’s food didn’t arrive till another 15 minutes. My burger appear to of sat under a heat lamp or something as the cheese was pretty much fried on the top. We had to wait about seven minutes to ask for catchup mustard etc. When my daughter did get her food the chicken was so over done it looked and tasted like beef jerky. Our waitress was pleasant enough but the service just was terrible. We wondered why this was the case because there was a few people in the bar drinking but no one in the restaurant. Wondering why our food came out in such choppy circumstances. Disappointed.
Food was delicious and the restaurant had a fun vibe. Hamburgers, steak salad, and zucchini strips were all great! Even the iced tea and lemonade were very good. Service was good and our server was pleasant and helpful. Will definitely go again if in Scottsdale.
The music was unbearably loud. We moved our seats to outside dining hoping this would make the situation better, it did not. Food was not good. For the prices you might as well go to a steakhouse and get yourself a true yummy meal. We will not return.
Great Service and prices
Poor service. 3 different people including a manager to just a to go box. Forgot drinks twice, was a busy night with larger parties, but was overpriced for the service we received.
Service was excellent. Food was good- not hot when it arrived to our table, but we were starving so didn't send back. It is a fun atmosphere but super loud. They do have a kids menu although not printed. We would definitely go back again!
Yes, primarily because of atmosphere. Food was good enough, but steaks were adequate, so disappointing.
pleasantly surprised to stumble upon half price Tuesday, excellent food at a great price
So very loud
My wife and I enjoyed an excellent evening of dining, wonderful service and comfortable seating. We both identified that the music was a little too loud, which related in the adjacent tables trying to carry on conversations at an elevated level, over the sound of the music. We look forward to our next opportunity to enjoy another evening at the Hand Cut Chophouse.

The outdoor dining was without any connection to the restaurant. Felt abandoned at time outside with foot traffic going by. If you choose to offer outdoor dining find a way to integrate the restaurant experience with your restaurant. Perhaps you should rethink this offering until you study it more.
My wife and I enjoyed the food, but the service was average at best. Since it was a Monday night I want to believe that they were under staffed. Every aspect of our meal was off. From simple things like getting a cocktail to more complicated like my grilled asparagus arriving when my steak was 3/4 finished.
We will try again but with caution.
Food was good but poorly timed. My meal came out after my son was already done eating. By the time I got my food, the shared sides were cold. Was asked if I wanted a 2nd cocktail. I said yes but I never got it. The noise level was high so it was hard to converse.
The burger could have been juicier and it was very noisy from the music. But the appetizers and the sides were good.
Awesome happy hour. Great drinks! Filet tartar was my favorite.
The burgers are consistent and always good. Fun atmosphere!
The butter cake is out of this world!!! Only draw back is they have half off deals on Tuesday but run out very quickly.
We were there celebrating a Bachelorette Party and the servers treated us oh so well!! Very grateful!! Thank you all!
If you like to think about clubbing during your meal, this is the place! The music was so loud and innappropriate at 8:00 p.m. We were seated toward the back in front the open kitchen. Combine that noise with the pounding techno surrounding the rest of the place, it was difficult for anyone at the table to carry on a conversation. Food was tasty, uninspired. Blah mashed potatoes, salad made with iceburg lettuce (not the wedge), bread that had been toasted too long or was stale. Bright spot was the salmon!
This was my third visit to Hand Cut Burgers&Chophouse. The first visit was wonderful! Great meal, great service. Totally enjoyable. I looked forward to my next visit. Not as good. While the service was excellent, the chicken was overcooked and not as good, but not bad enough to keep me from trying the restaurant again. It was a bad decision. This time the chicken was pounded into the thickness of a dime - and just as hard. Could not even cut it with a steak knife. The chili mayo was supposed to be served to me on the side - it was slavered all over what was supposed to be a ciabatta roll - but turned out to be a simple hamburger bun (which we later found was served because they were out of ciabatta (but no one told us they were out of ciabattas). And the cheese that was supposed to been the sandwich was no where to be found. To his credit our very nice waiter offered a free dessert and gift card of some sort for the next visit. I sent the food back and said this was my last visit and asked to see the manager. A very nice women came to our table and profusely apologized, looked at the sandwich and agreed it was awful. Bottom line, I was not charged for the meal and will not return to this restaurant.
