Hana Japan Steakhouse is the premier hibachi & teppanyaki experience in the Bay Area. All reservations are for the live cooking hibachi experience. The menu features USDA Choice Black angus beef and fresh seafood items cooked to perfection right in front of you. Try the Hibachi Salmon for a tasty dinner, the popular New York Steak or our newly added House Dry Aged Rib-Eye. Dinner items are served with a salad featuring our special organic Hana dressing, house soup, steamed rice and seasonal vegetables. Hana Japan’s menu also serves gluten-free options, vegan fare as well as a kid-friendly dishes.

Serving the San Francisco Bay area since 1979, Hana Japan draws a local regular crowd and proudly serve during dinner hours. Diners get to enjoy special discounts on their birthdays when they visit with parties of four or more. We are now open for dinner seven days a week. Reservations are Highly Recommended.

For parties of 10 or more, we offer a unique hibachi pre-fixe menu: a multi-course, teppanyaki experience which will include house soup and house salad for all guests--a full entree per guest that includes--fresh seasonal vegetables--vegetable fried rice--and all guests will enjoy the following: (a) USDA choice New York steak, (b) white shrimp, (c) white meat chicken, and (d) salmon filet. This menu price does not include the large party 20% service fee, tax, appetizers, dessert, or beverages, and the entire party must be included. Payment due at restaurant, one check. Where possible, we will accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, and of course, you are welcome to add on extra hibachi items from our regular menu.

Waited at the table at least 30 minutes before a server arrived. Chef at the table was great. Ambiance is old. Better to go with a group of 8 to have the hibachi area to your group. We split the area with another party.

I have never had a bad meal at Hana Japan. Although it is pricey, I will still come and eat here. Food is always delicious.

It was our first visit to Hana. We frequently dine at Benihana so we were curious to compare. The food was mostly comparable with the exception of the soup. Benihana’s onion soup is much better. I felt the restaurant was a little dark and crowded. The waiting area is tiny. Everyone was very friendly. Our chef did a good job.

Food is delicious but restaurant doesn’t have good air ventilation. evertime we eat there we need to change our clothes and shower because we all stink food.

It was good my first time to a place like this, so it was a nice experience although the sitting next to other people was kind of uncomfortable made it awkward to eat.
