Han Oak has launched it's Spring Menu! Chef Peter Cho's take on jipbap, home-style cooking inspired by the bounty of Oregon. Expect a table full of banchan and sizzling entrees, rooted in Korean culture.

Han Oak is a communal, prix-fixe Korean restaurant emphasizing traditional flavors, seasonal ingredients, and fine technique. From their addictive hot pot to their mouthwatering dumplings, every bite at Han Oak is a taste of pure happiness.

Book a later reservation and ask about our full-on karaoke setup! Karaoke may or may not happen but if you see the disco lights and the fog machine on, get in the queue!

We really didn’t know what to expect going in, and we’re blown away by the flavors and innovation of the food. The service staff were attentive and knowledgeable, with great suggestions and detailed explanations. This was definitely a wonderful experience!

Great experience, fantastic food. Loved the ease of having to only order the main dish, while all the small plates offered to each person were delicious.

Some of the dishes were creative and delicious and others a little over the top and didn’t taste great. I much prefer the food during the winter time.

Service was great and setting immaculate. Food was so very delicious. Our only two concerns was around the timing: the courses overlapped and felt too quick to digest and enjoy the many flavors; after the meal they asked us to leave due to another reservation needing our table, which felt unfortunate given the price and quality of the dining experience otherwise.

For the price point, the service wasn’t great and the food was good, but not extraordinary. It’s not a super high end joint, but with the prix fixe menu and a couple drinks it came out to $100 per person, which is about where I start expecting more attentive, friendly service and great food. Ambience was nice (outdoor covered patio) and the drinks were good.

Loved the experience. Yummy set menu, friendly staff and calming-homey interior. Would definitely come again the next time I’m in Portland.

We loved this family style dining experience with a good group of friends. The food portions were perfectly measured, and everything was exquisitely tasteful. I appreciated the kindness of the servers, and how intricately they described how to consume each dish. Definitely recommend for a sweet Sunday Dinner with people you love.
