The name itself should tip you off to what this place is all about: year-round summertime vibes set into the San Fernando Valley, with a breakfast through dinner appeal. You’ll find everything from granola to eggs to pancakes on the morning menu, with options for charcuterie, salads, sandwiches, and mains as the day moves on. Dinner includes feta-topped fries and spicy wings, plus everything from a burger to lobster mac. As for drinks, there’s a full bar happening at Hamptons818, with wine by the glass and craft beer as well. The place is mostly set up as a lounge, with a wide cement-poured bar backed by a working stone fireplace, plus communal seating out and lots of patio room.

The lobster omelette is great! I really enjoyed the hashbrowns with kale and quinoa too. Nice decor and perfect for brunch.

The hostess never checked open table from the time we made our reservation and when we arrived 30 minutes later and was surprised when we got there expecting a table at our reservation time. She said some nonsense that open table doesn’t guarantee you a reservation. We explained that the point of open table is to make a reservation in real time without having to call the restaurant and that it shouldn’t show available reservation times if they aren’t actually available. Her manager was equally lacking common sense. Their yelp page says they’re “good for kids” but we got the feeling that they didn’t want us there with our kids. We saw that there were tables available that they could have made accommodations for us but clearly weren’t willing. We left and went elsewhere. I’ll never return to this place, with or without my kids.

The sad truth is I never got inside the restaurant, so the scores reflect that I wasn't there. The internet said that they have lunch and dinner valet parking. That was important to me. I pulled up and didn't see a valet. I called the restaurant and asked about valet and he said there is free parking in the back. So I drove around the block, got to the back of the restaurant and there was one spot left in the lot and people were parked tandem with one car parked behind the other. My friend who was not far away could not have parked. So I went to the restaurant across the street and called to cancel my reservation. This section of Sherman Oaks is very crowded and parking is problematic if the restaurant doesn't have its own parking lot or a valet attendant.. I counted on the information shared on the internet, and it was incorrect. I wish them the best, he was nice on the phone, but it didn't work out.

we went for an early Sunday morning breakfast...9 of us had the place to ourselves!! food was awesome...can't wait to go back for lunch!

Joanne is the best waiter and the ambiance was chill. Great brunch or breakfast spot. They have valet so don't worry about searching for parking.

Super cute place, but it’s like an enclosed patio (that’s where we were seated, anyway) so it was a little cold. Service was attentive, menu had lots of variety, and the food was great!
