Great food but a little cold. We reserved inside and the cold wind coming in made the ladies cold.
Excellent food and service with an amazing sunset view.
We arrived on 3:45pm on Christmas Eve and discovered we were not only their last reservation for the day, but the only reservation. In spite of being their only customers on Christmas Eve, we were welcomed warmly and treated like royalty. The service were impeccable and the seafood was cooked to perfection! The only suggestion I would make was that the melted butter tasted more like margarine, but the seafood was wonderful even without it. Our waiter was gracious and took care of all our needs promptly and the sunset was breathtaking! I can't wait to take friends there!
We were grateful they were open on Thanksgiving. We were looking for something like this. Negatives are location. We were not familiar with this resort area. Restaurant was hard to find. Also there was an inappropriately loud musician playing. One little girl was dancing so we just couldn’t be the ogres asking for the “talent” to be turned down. But still the staff had to understand it was way too loud for the 3 tables eating. Was kind of pricey too especially after the resort (inconvenience) fee. If you are in the area ok. If you have to drive more than 10 minutes find something else.
The food was very disappointing.
Great band! All outdoor seating. While under roof, still was a bit chilly the night we went,
Service was slow even though it was less than half occupied. One kids meal was completely forgotten. Never got a chance to order another drink, not that we would have. Would not go back for dinner with family. Probably a great place to drink and listen to music.
Great environment for kids. I have 6 from 2-13. And they player songs for kids also.
Band was loud. Ordered two appetizers only recd one. Food was ok not great. We expected more from the restaurant in this primo spot on the boardwalk.
Nice evening outside. We had our dinner and watched the sunset over the bay while listening to a pretty good trio playing music.
Loved the view, the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommend the fish or shrimp tacos.
Great view of sunset on the bay with live music! Can't go wrong.
The crabcakes were hard and generic. The hamburger was dry. I did not enjoy my dinner and neither did my husband.
I love hammerheads as a whole. The destin/Miramar location was right on the water and was a very lighthearted/fun atmosphere, however our service wasn’t great. We saw our server when he took our order and then again when our food came out. We had to ask the busser for silverware and refills. We also had to go find our server for our checks after 35 minutes of waiting for him to come back. We would’ve taken our 21st birthday celebration had we known this would be our experience.
Nice outdoor seating. Good live music. Food not so hot
Very bad food, cold fries and my wedge salad was old and tough.
Worse than going to fast food place.
It is a shame lovely area.
Liked the band and the sunset
Great food, quick and friendly service and beautiful sunset views! Fun live music, too!
If the waitress used the words “There will be an up-charge,” one more time... I was gonna be very mad! Reprice your menu...
The waitress was polite to me, but not so much with my daughter and her friends. They were similar in age and she had a little bit of an attitude when it came to serving them. An interesting dynamic to watch. We liked that the restaurant was situated near a long pier. And, the live music was enjoyable.
We really loved the food, waitresses, bands and the view!! We came back for a second night!!!
We had another great night watching the sunset over the bay at Hammerhead’s! Great food and spectacular views of the bay! Highly recommend this place for any occasion!
It was hard to get anyone to take care of us to get us seated. Went into the restaurant, asked a server to help, they instructed us to go out front to matradee....we told them there was no one there....they did nothing. We went back out front and there was finally a girl standing at podium. She asked us how many, I told her 2, gave name, she couldn't find. She took us to a table. We sat and waited for about 15 mins, NO server came to the table, we asked a lady that was cleaning off table to help, she finally got us a waitress. Our waitress was very helpful, offered us happy our to get in at last minute. Food very good. Waitress when we finally got one, very good.
We had a good dinner considering, the service was a little slack but food was good! I will say it was not our waitress fault I believe we arrived during prime time. My husband ordered a Mahi- mahi sandwich an he wasn't able to order fries without salt I think they were pre seasoned already so he substituted with red potatoes. The other incident was they ran out of Stella beer...no good thing to run out of beer! For me I had chargrilled oysters and crab legs! But overall it was a nice experience!
Great deal on the shrimp special for the Gumbo Festival. Hammerheads and the shrimp were enjoyed by all.
The nacho app was huge and delicious. Almost didn't even need any other food, but I got the burger. The burger was juicy and tender. Our server was in point and hooked it up with a local beer 30A beach blonde. Good spot to enjoy yourself.
Food mediocre, house drinks mediocre and super sweet. Server was awesome. Sent drink back because it was awful and ordered wine. Server said manager would give us the drink we sent back at half price....thanks. This is a good place if you want a super touristy experience.
Birthday and vacation with family.
My experience here was just okay. I ordered blackened Grouper tacos, they were okay but I had better tacos at The Beach House earlier that day. I also ordered a hurricane drink. But I'm from New Orleans and was expecting a real hurricane, it tastes more like cough syrup so I sent it back and opt'ed for pinot noir. Our waiter was 19 years old and wasn't able to give us any feedback on what drinks customers liked. Fans were on but gnats and mosquitoes were terrible. I was bitten 12 times on my feet while there eating dinner. I would have liked to sit and enjoy the band longer but unfortunately had to head out to treat the itching from the bites. Citronella candles would do this place justice.
Loved our waiter. He was from England.
Great music from a quality cover band. Food mediocre but good quantities. Renee, our server was awesome.
Food was expensive for what you got. Waitress and live music top notch.
Great food & Service once we were seated. We had a 6:30pm reservation and waited until 7:00pm. We had to speak with a manager then to get a table though. The environment was great and the live music was perfect!
Restaurant had an electrical issue so moved our reservation back 45 minutes which was fine. Still waited 15 minutes when we arrived. Seemed chaotic but I’m sure due to the electrical. Entire staff was super friendly and definitely the bright spot. Our server seemed overworked as we didn’t see her a ton. Food wasn’t great. Not impressed with the Baytowne wharf area in general. Seems cheap for Destin.
Good food, good prices. Kid friendly. No complaints!
Service was excellent! We made reservations and were promptly seated. Our waitress was attentive but not intrusively so. We were in the outside seating area and there was good live music. We were there for Happy Hour so decided to forego a meal and have a couple of appetizers. We ended up with 3 - Bang Bang Shrimp, crab cakes, and chicken nachos, all were very good and enough left over for lunch the next day.
Live music, good music and perfect view. What’s it to love!
It was good enough.
Beautiful scenery, great ambiance and their crab cakes are delicious!
It was good!
Took my girlfriend for a quick date before heading back to Atlanta. It was a GREAT view of sunset and they had awesome live music. There was a mix up on order, but they were on top of fixing it! DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.
