Great design, mood ambience and top service -great for celebrating
We have been to the Ham Yard a few times, and always considered it to be our favourite restaurant whilst visiting London. However after Saturday I had a very upset tummy and felt quite unwell. This happend on the train on the way home. This has never happend to me before. Also the service was very slow in bringing over our drinks once they had been ordered. I don't think we will be coming back which is a shame. E Clover
A great place for drinks and food in central London, would highly recommend.
Nice but arrived v late and staff accommodated is very well.
One of my favourites
I would not recommend the restaurant but would recommend the bar
Consistently good. High quality service and excellent food.
Always great food and friendly staff - the bar does get very busy so if you like it a bit less noisy try to sit away from that area
Nice venue and ambience, service can be slow but always polite. Generally overpriced but you’re paying London hotel prices so not surprising
Wonderful service. Great for a relaxed but special occasion with friends!
Love this restaurant - it’s not cheap but food great and always fabulous service
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful.
Fantastic experience - service and food was excellent, a very high standard. The set meal was excellent and ery reasonable too.
We will definitley be back, thanks!
We had a gorgeous meal in a wonderfully inviting space with excellent service on Sunday night. I certainly will return to try more dishes and to experience the relaxing and beautiful designed room again. Would highly recommend for date or occasion.
The portions on the set menu are on the small size and not a great choice for non-pork eaters, a fish main would have been appreciated. Quality of food is very high. Can't fault it as a venue as there is a real buzz about the place and the decor is so quirky
Booked outdoor seating on opentable and they said they had no outdoor seating available on arrival. Set menu quite limited. Smoked Mackerel salad had barely a scrap of smoked mackerel in it. Pork with harissa was delicious though! Staff and ambiance was lovely. Overall, good value, but wouldn’t go back again.
We went for the 2 course deal. Choice was a little limited and portions were very small. But quality and flavour were excellent. Wine is v expensive as are cocktails. Our total bill was £120 for the meal which came with a drink, a further carafe of rose , 3 cocktails (not each!) and the tip.
I booked a table for 4 for a pre-theatre meal at 6pm on a Friday, we were seated in the outside terrace which was lovely and the service was excellent. We had a show to get too at 7.30 and managed to fit in a 3 course meal in that time.
The food was delicious and such good value for what it was. I'd definitely recommend it for pre theatre dining.
I booked a large table (& an additional overspill table) for my leaving dinner and I was so impressed with how everything was handled. In particular our waitress, Rasa, was exceptional. For a large group everything was very relaxed and unhurried. It made such a difference to the evening and we stayed far longer than anticipated. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant and bar - such a great feel and such professional and friendly staff. Very well done!
Wonderful place you would never believe you were one road away from the madness and bustle of Piccadilly Circus.
We visit the Hamyard restaurant a few times per year and this time we had a lovely seat outside. The terrace outside is really special and unique in central London. Secluded, quiet and romantic in the middle of Soho.
The service was meant well and we had a lovely waitress but their system of serving drinks needs work as it takes really long. By the time we received our first glass of wine we were half through our dinner and we send back a second glass of wine as it arrived after we finished our dessert. A free tea was offered though. The food was mediocre for the prices being charged. We love the Hamyard hotel restaurant but for asking the prices they do they really have to up their game.
This is my third visit. Previously I ordered from the. Fixed price menu which was very tasty and excellent value. I was told that this was no longer available so I ordered a crab salad which was pretty ordinary not helped by the anchovies with which it was mixed. There are a lot of superb restaurants offering lunch at around £20. For example Milos so I’m afraid I won’t be going back.
Great vibe and great food pre theatre! Could recommend
Service was absolutely appalling, had to ask the waiters for absolutely everything, including a request to take our food order, and to order more wine. Dont know what's up with some people. Very annoying that a service charge is always added on, but this is VERY difficult to remove when you are hosting clients. I wont be going back. The food and atmosphere was nice but not amazing.
Yes would deffo recommend Ham Yard. Always great service and food.
Main course portion sizes very small. This was resolved by the restaurant manager who proceeded to present us with an additional portion which was a nice gesture and appreciated. A little something could be offered with the teas/coffees . We had mint teas which were £4.50!!! and a little biscuit, tablet or such like should be offered with that. The service was very good. May go back on a deal.
The waiters brought our food very quickly and brought the desserts before our main courses. Otherwise the food was good and service attentive. Will be back again.
Fab service - really warm & friendly. Great little spot too - cute courtyard. Nice food, delish.
The afternoon tea was a lovely experience to share with out of town guests. Good value for money and the service was excellent.
This was our first time visiting the Ham Yard and I was not aware of the different seating areas. Next time I will be sure to request a table in the Orangerie. A lovely oasis with relaxed seating a, sky lights and greenery. There were tables available in the orangerie but we were told we could not be moved without booking a table there two days in advance.
Lovely setting, staff were amazing but the food pretty average and over priced and the wine was extortionate... I was looking forward to eating here and am left feeling pretty disappointed I’m afraid.
Great venue always very consistent good wine and service
This is the second time I’ve had lunch here and always find the food excellent. It’s a lovely dining room in which to enjoy a leisurely lunch
The Ham Yard is always a great location, nice ambiance. But the food---really really mediocre. The steak which we ordered medium came back fully cooked and tough, and the fish was just 'fine'. Great wine, nice atmosphere but not a place to bring a foodie.
Amazing food .... great service
Poor service and very average food . Have been dining here for 5 years and sad to see it slip into sloppy average territory.
We enjoyed a breakfast outside on a very warm Saturday in London at the tranquil Ham Yard.
Staff were great and the breakfast choices were varied and excellently presented. Would not be surprised to hear that Ham Yard was voted as Best London Breakfast!
Wonderful food and wine
Staff were faultless
I have been before and took a friend this time from the Netherlands- an interior designer. She loved it too!
First visit and certainly won’t be my last. Super deal for early dining and services was the best I have experienced in quite a while.
Awful. Food truly terrible. Water-downed martinis!
