Halls Chophouse - Greenville Ratings and Reviews
Finding a good restaurant when out of town is always somewhat of a challenge/risk. This place was outstanding! Our table was not ready and we had about a 30 minute wait and these folks couldn't have done more to try and make up for the delay with complimentary cocktails and appetizer while we waited...very unusual....as the usual ploy is to have you wait in the bar and order more cocktails! When finally seated and they displayed the Allen Brothers steak selections, I would have waited double the time! The service was as professional, experienced and accommodating, truly over the top. I understand there are a few more Hall's and I will always look for them when traveling.
Congratulations to the Hall's family for bringing the same excellence to Greenville that we've enjoyed for years in Charleston. I've never been to a restaurant with better service than Hall's Chophouse. Even if the food wasn't fabulous, which it always is, the service is impeccable. Everyone on the staff is friendly and professional. Although we don't live in Greenville or Charleston, we'll make a special trip to celebrate an occasion at Hall's. Although I've loved everything I've ever eaten at both locations, I always always have their signature 434 and a handful of jelly beans. Hall's is definitely one of my all time favorites.
We were greeted with a personalized welcome from one of the owners, who later graciously gave us champagne and chocolate cake on the house to celebrate our anniversary. The food was fantastic and definitely a worthwhile splurge! Thank you Hall's for a great night in Greenville!
The food and food selection were excellent! The ambience was inviting and very pleasant. Every staff member was welcoming. The portions were very reasonable. However the service was by far among the best seen in a very long time! Outstanding overall!!! Kudos to everyone, especially the manager ☺️
As always, Halls goes above and beyond to make your dining experience the best. Thanks to the staff for making my customers and myself feel very comfortable. As soon as we walked in, Abby did a great job of greeting us and making us feel that Halls was expecting us. The entire staff does a great job of making the night one to remember.
thanks for a great dinner and night
We enjoyed our 10 years anniversary celebration brunch with our family. We had the best service from the whole staff and our server, Kevin, went above and beyond with his service. Food was fabulous and worth coming back again.
A must dinning experience in Greenville!!!
My wife and I just celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Hall's in Greenville. It was such a great experience. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us celebrate our anniversary. The food was incredible and well worth the price tag. They even gave us complimentary champagne and dessert which was amazing as well. There is no better restaurant to celebrate a special occasion than Hall's Chophouse! The owner even made it a point to come by, introduce himself and wish us a happy anniversary.
as expected, steaks are over the top ... as well as the ambience. ..... sometimes a restaurant can try to serve before you are ready and other time a restaurant may have slow service. Not the case here ... never interrupting but there when you need them....the manager ( Pam) is very pleasant and Dr. Moretz and I felt very welcome .... we will definitely be back!!! Preston
Outstanding all around! Service was perfect and food was amazing. The staff congratulated us on our anniversary multiple times and even gave us a glass of champagne and a dessert on the house. We would go here often if it was more affordable. It's pricy, so be prepared to pay big for the experience.
This restaurant has it all, atmosphere, excellent service, delicious food, fine wines and beautiful views. We had a lovely experience, everyone who served us was eager to please and delivered.
Thank you for making our evening one we will remember fondly. Will certainly come back when we are next in Greenville. Our waitress was Jade,by the way, outstanding!
Promptly seated upon our arrival and shown to a very nice rable on second level. Dining area quickly filled up. Given plenty of time to look at menu and make our selections. We were asked if we were going to a performance and were told they would insure we would be finished in plenty of time. Our meals were satisfactory but not outstanding. Calamari was hot but the taste was quite average. Main courses arrived and again, there was nothing really note worthy especially when prime rib is $40. A side of sauteed spinach in olive oil and garlic yielded a dish of some cooked and some uncooked spinach with the garlic no where to be found. Halls appears to have a model of the more servers in the dining the better. For us there were too many. So much activity that it was quite distracting. Charlie Trotter’s in Chicago had great service and it was not at all intrusive. Sometimes, less is more!
It was my family's second visit to Hall's Chophouse. We now seek it out when we travel to Greenville. Always have a kind welcome, excellent service and wonderful setting. The server presented the steak options so beautifully, both in description and verbally. They did not disappoint when they were served! Will be back again.
This is a fine dining experience. There must be at least 5 employees attending to each table! And management is continually wandering through and inquiring as to one's satisfaction/needs. The food is very good--the daily seafood special--red snapper--was excellent. The loaded, baked potato is gigantic, and the filet was tender, properly prepared but not quite as flavorful as some. There is live music in the bar area which was unobtrusive in the dining area and served as pleasant background music. Will return.
Table was askew and wobbly and informed server who said "yeah, but it's okay". It wasn't a big deal but in a place billed as top class - disappointing. Waiter was overbearing and wanted to come across as a wine connoisseur - it didn't show, simply choosing upper end bottles. Food was okay. Overall disappointing
Went to Halls Chophouse to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Having been told by friends not to expect too much, we were pleasantly pleased with our evening there. The manager was helpful in choosing a wine. We went with a half bottle that provided enough to get through our meal.
The entrees and sides we very enjoyable, and the service was very attentive throughout. Almost a bit too much at times, but better than poor service.
They knew it was our 25th, so they brought us cake and sparkling wine to cap off the meal. We greatly appreciated this gesture.
It's certainly not an inexpensive place to go, but the overall value is there, particularly for a special occasion or business meal.
