Halls Chophouse - Greenville Ratings and Reviews
We had brunch to celebrate my sister in laws 50th birthday. It was the first time we had brunch at your Greenville location. Everything went well. We had a nice table down stairs but would have preferred upstairs. Down stairs was intimate but we could not hear the music very well that was being played.
Had brunch on Sunday and enjoyed the entire experience! Entered the restaurant before our reservations and was directed to the bar. Ordered a Bloody Mary and was pleasantly surprised with how good it was! Soon after we were shown to our table. We were seated along the windows overlooking the river walk. Our server came and asked if we had been there before and we said no. He proceeded to tell us the specials for the day. He took our drink orders and poured us each a glass of water. We placed our order and enjoyed the ambiance and the view while waiting for the food to come. When the food was delivered to the table, the presentation was excellent! We both enjoyed our meals. I had the special of the day an omelette stuffed with bacon, cheddar cheese, onions and green and red peppers with a side of home fries. The wife thoroughly enjoyed the French toast and bacon. Travis was our excellent server and Pam Falvey was the manager. These two made the brunch a very pleasant experience and will have us returning in the future!
Everything is absolutely wonderful here!! The food selection is awesome, the service is spectacular. We felt as if we were the only folks in the restaurant. When we requested something, the request for filled immediately, without delay. The Filet was cooked exactly to our liking. The Loaded Potatoes were phenomenal. The wedge salad was superb!! Love the Blue Cheese dressing - of which I am not usually a fan - but this dressing was excellent!! We absolutely love Hall's - have never had a bad experience!!!
First time here and we were very impressed with all aspects of the experience. Ryan was our server and was attentive and friendly. I had the filet, which was perfect - one of the best steaks I've had in my 70-plus years. My wife had a roasted chicken with the Brussels sprouts - the sprouts were not supposed to contain onion (we asked beforehand) but they did. The restaurant took them off the bill, and comp'ed us a chocolate dessert. Definitely a class act and worth the price. We'll be back again when we're in Greenville.
Have been a customer for several years in Charleston SC and moved to Greenville I know the Halls personally and was very pleased with the Restaurant in Greenville with the exception of the Valet Parking upon leaving the Restaurant The Parking attendant handed me my key and told me where my vehicle was I had two ladies with me one was an expecting mother and I give him his tip before he told me to go get my vechical myself how rude probably will not visit the Greenville location again
This was our first visit to Hall’s. It was our anniversary and the staff was excellent. The owner greeted us at the door and wished us happy anniversary. We were also served complimentary champagne and chocolate cake. The wait staff was excellent and the food was extraordinary. Live music was great also. If you haven’t dined here you must try it.
Good food, overpriced. Service a bit overwrought, felt a little rushed . Price for a shot of rye, $17, v would buy half the bottle. Owner on premises, very friendly. If you go, get there before 6 for prix fixe , only $45 a head . If you have a few hundred dollars in your pocket, knock yourself out. Best menu item: Brussels sprouts!
Thanksgiving was much better than expected. Food was great, staff and service were top notch, Live music, good drinks, what more could you ask for? We suffered the loss of our parents recently and decided to pass the reigns to Hall’s this year and take a break. We were totally blown away by the owner walking around welcoming each and every one to his house and making you feel like family. We really felt welcome there and would recommend many times over. Halls is our favorite for steaks on the regular.
We had a Thanksgiving reservation, like most people, and requested a river/historic area view, which probably 75% of the tables have. When we arrived we were put in the upstairs closed-off room, no ambiance, lots of families with kids celebrating a great holiday. When I walked downstairs to talk to the hostess she basically blew me off. Meanwhile, Mr. Hall the walking around shaking everyone’s hand - he shook mine when we arrived and also when I walked down to ask for a new table. We won’t be going back - Greenville is full of other great restaurants offering better value and service.
Everyone at Hall's makes an exceptional effort to make you feel welcome and provide you with a 5 * dining experience.
From Billy Hall running the show to every employee in the house........these folks work diligently to provide the "Hall's" experience to everyone visiting their establishment.
Great food, service, atmosphere and ambiance.
Hall's is one of the BEST........anywhere.
Amazing food and service. And we got a thoughtful handwritten thank-you note after our visit that was personal and meaningful (and included details that indicated they really remembered us...we appreciated the humor in the note). As I said to my spouse, "that place is legit" - great special occasion place. My husband never wants to go to steakhouses because he is a great cook and always says "I can make a great steak" - as soon as he took a bite of his steak he leaned over to me and said "I was wrong, I can't do this". It was a great celebratory meal for our group - Hall's made it memorable and extra special.
