Overall was just okay- food was sort of decent once you get a few bottomless drinks in your system. Service was kinda of sub par but it was busy inside the place so I wouldn’t completely hold that against them. The price for bottomless brunch was a little pricey for the quality.

Poor service, mediocre food. Waited an hour just to get water. 20 minutes later our first drink came out. 15 minutes later the rest of us finally got our drinks. The crab cake brunch meal was not filling and consisted mainly of arugula. I shouldn't have got a crab cake at a half smoke spot but... it was on the menu. I wont be back, they had plenty of servers and it should never take an hour + for brunch food and water.

We saw pictures of the food and location and thought this might be a good choice to go to; while our server did the best that she could (she appeared to be the only one truly working and even gave us a discount due to wait times and other issues with our order), our meals were lukewarm and cold. If we do go to this restaurant again, we would likely only come for the bottomless happy hour and other drink offerings.

The music was really loud to the point we could not hear the waitress. We were not offered drinks, we had to ask and on top of that the food was cold, the waitress had an attitude when I told her the food was cold. Our table was skipped so many times. Overall terrible customer service. Will not be coming here again or recommending.

Consistently good food! We love the atmosphere. It’s a vibe. But, it is loud and lively so if you’re looking for chill it’s probably to the spot for you. Jake at the bar was great and made amazing drinks! We will definitely be back again soon.

When we first arrived, the staff was looking around like they had no room for our reserved table. We were squeezed between two other parties . There was no water or menu on the table we were provided to sit at. The glasses provided to us were not pleasing to the eye as there were scratch marks all over my glass but the glass did appear clean. The music was so loud that it made it difficult to hear the waitress when she did come by which wasn't often. I had to ask waitress for water. The waitress asked if we would like to order , after she came back from bringing the water but we had no menu. The waitress grabs a menu from the table next two us then leaves again before waiting for us to order. While we browse the menu, the young lady sitting next to us at her table says there's hair in her grits. She said it loud enough to hear because again, the music was beyond loud. Me and my friend I was there with decided to leave and go to another establishment to eat and we had a wonderful time there. I do not believe I will be returning back to Half Smoke. I traveled from Newport News, Va to see how their food taste and did not get good enough service to even order anything to eat...I barely was able to get water.

The service was not the best. We ordered an app 3 times and the waiter never brought it out. They don’t write the order down which could be some d the issue. They seemed to have friends dining and giving them more drinks food etc. i was disappointed how bad the service was.

Was seated on a couch so low to the ground I was basically on the floor. We had a party of 5 and only 4 were there but did not receive any service (not even water) for a full 10 minutes after we sat down. I wish I had a better experience here.

The atmosphere was definitely a winner, they had a photo booth and board games available to play which added a nice touch. music was on point with what is popular today. The service definitely was poor we chucked it up to it was a holiday (Mothers day) and it was very busy but we didn’t expect the best but at least check in every 10-15 mins, we had to wave her down a lot. The food was good, my steak could have been cooked better but it was still pretty tasty. The drinks were very delicious but not very strong for The price. Overall it’s a must try you may have a better experience but we still enjoyed ourselves

The food was incredible! Was a bit small for the price but such is DC. We were there shortly after opening and the staff/overall restaurant didn't seem to be up and ready to go. We had to wait a good amount of time for our server each time. She got everything right but wasn't the most friendly/personable person and none of the other servers seemed to be either. The dress code for the staff seemed to be a bit lax in my opinion with many of them having on hoodies and a couple were wearing sweat pants. For the price and the ambiance, I would expect a bit more. Overall a pretty good experience.

It was no one at the door to greet you we stood at the door for about 10 before I had to stop someone who walked by and ask for a table. I hadn’t been before didn’t know the music was so loud. We didn’t stay went to a different restaurant

Its was ok I didn't like the couch cause it's to low for the table. The waitress Maya was cool. The drinks were good and strong. The food was ok,, some items need a little help. Half smoke isn't a bad place to go to I just think it's overrated.

The food was great. The service was very slow. We waited 20 minutes before a server came. Then another 30 after our appetizer and we had to flag the server down to order food. The music was fun but was so loud everyone at our table had to scream. If you’re hungry or if you actually want to talk to the people you’re with, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for somewhere to pre-game before a night out, this might be the place.

Ok. So my very first visit and would possibly be my last however I did not get to order anything from the Brunch Menu so I cant really speak on that. I made a reservation, was not seated until about 30 mins. It was a Sunday. Very crowded but its a popular place. The all day Menu food was cool. The brussel sprouts were amazing. The quantity is rather small. The Mimosa was ok. The atmosphere is lit but chilled at the same time. The waiter barely waited. The price was a big surprising for what we got, but hey its DC right? Any who my overall experience from 1-10 is a 5.

Went on a Sunday morning for the bottomless mimosas but the food was amazing as well. Almost everyone at the table had something they enjoyed. The “oh so fancy” could have used about a 1/4 more meat to be worth it but still good. Someone else said they’d pass on the “woke up like this” next time, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t hitting like everything else. Overall, great vibe & the service was amazing. Great experience and we’ll be back.
