Amazingly fresh oysters. Yummy burger. But those homemade potato bread rolls…..insane. Loved it!

Ordered medium rare salmon, specified on the rare side-opaque. Exactly as I used to order at its' predecessor, Etta's, as well a many other Seattle restaurants. Fish came medium to well. I sent it back, the server misunderstood, thought it wasn't done enough. I found this out after waiting another 20 minutes and server said it took a long time to cook. Eventually, the hostess came over and we got it "fixed". The salmon was at best fair. The oysters were great. My colleague loved his Dungeness crab stuffed bread. Wines were mediocre. Even though they comped the salmon, I won't return.

Like all Tom Douglas' restaurants, Half Shell is consistent and good. The location and interior is very comfortable. Of course, all the fish was tasty, and the burger is one of the best in the city.

We were there for a late lunch before a ballgame. The seafood stew and the shrimp Louie salad were outstanding.

Great happy hour, food was amazing, must try the broiled oysters, martini dip and Fried green tomatoes…..the fried green tomatoes with the Dungeness remoulade are one of a kind and a must try. Our server, Taylor was so professional and so yet so easy going….we had a cello…it’s a spritz as our first cocktail and asked if we could have Italicus Spritzes …he accomodated our request and it was enjoyable talking to him throughout our meal. Thank you, Taylor for such an enjoyable dining experience. A 5 STAR EXPERIENCE for sure!!!

Lovely happy hour! We enjoyed sitting outside on a beautiful sunny day! Hubby enjoyed his oysters and not being able to eat shellfish the hamburger was excellent as were the Brussels sprouts!!
