   Can't beat half moons location. Literally RIGHT next to the river. NYC on the horizon down river and a beautiful sunset across the river. The food and cocktails delicious and lovely to hang outside afterwards.

   I've eaten at this restaurant many times, but it's been a while since there. Food has gotten quite pricey, but if you want a glorious view of the Hudson River with the silhouette of Manhattan in the distance, and you would like good food, then it will be worth it for you. The pastrami sandwich for lunch was quite good and the arugula salad with goat cheese (can they spare it?) was delicious.

   Waitress wasn't friendly in fact spilling water on the table and missing the water glasses. She didn't apologize for it nor clean it up. She never came back to ask how was everything and if we needed anything else. Service was just terrible and I'm not sure if I'd go back in the future.

   Starting with the best Virgin Mary I have ever had and ending with a walk along the Hudson, this was a Sunday to remember! My lobster and avocado salad was delightful - don't mistake it for a full meal (it is an appetizer, after all) but with the lovely rolls, it was enough for a lite lunch/brunch for me. My husband, had a plateful of ranchos huevos (sp?) which he devoured and thoroughly enjoyed. We all will come back again for brunch and probably dinner as well.

   My experience at half moon was great. Our servers were on point and didn't have to wait too long for your meals and they kept checking in to see if we were ok - nice! The food was good for some meals, tasty but not outstanding. The view was outstanding which is nice place to hang out on a friday and saturday afternoon. The bar was very crowded no surprise there! But overall - I will give it a two-thumbs up!

   It was a lovely summer evening to dine out on the water. The view is fantastic. The salad special was very fresh and light with a yummy dressing. Our selection of shrimp and salmon were great choices. They were both delicious with generous sized portions. Our only complaint was that the waiter could have been more attentive. We had to pour our own wine twice.

   Me, my mother, my sister and my adult daughter planned a night out to enjoy a beautiful night outdoors. I made a reservation, and when we got there we were told if we wanted a table outside we would have an hour and a half wait because outside was on a first come, first serve basis, and people were already waiting to be seated out there. So we decided to sit inside instead, but we noticed that many tables outside were still empty after 15 minutes in out seats. We very politely asked the manager why that was the case, and he couldn't give us an answer that was legitimate to us. Although we were ready to just leave it at that, he got us a table outside and we very much appreciated that. The view was amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately we ordered one dish that we had to send back. The skirt steak special was way overcooked. The rest of our food was delicious. When we complained the waitress made every attempt to make it right. She did all the right things to accommodate us and said the chef apologized. We had waited a long time with switching tables from inside and did not want to wait for another dinner to be made, so we decided to do without that extra plate and did not reorder anything and just shared our meals. I could have went lower on my overall rating but decided to go higher, because when things went wrong, which they do sometimes, the staff was eager to make them right. Overall, it was a very enjoyable evening, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for the staff, drinks, food, view and atmosphere. To the Manager, I believe it was Fernando, and our waitresses both inside and outside (Sorry, don't remember your names but you were both attentive, friendly and very accommodating), thank you for doing the right thing when we complained. It was refreshing not to have to argue and to just be heard and respected for what we were saying. You are doing a great job!

   Very good food, great view, and good service...until a rain storm hit. Staff was so focused on rescuing and reseating the patio diners that service for the indoor patrons degenerated to near zero.

   Great scenic view. Beautiful outdoor dinning. The view at night is much better with the breeze coming in off the Hudson river.!!!

    Our hostess, Sam, was accommodating leading to the event for our growing party size. Upon our arrival our table was ready but we were accomodated at another table as requested. Our servers, Mary and I believe Javier or Edgar were quite responsive to our unlimited mimosas and everyone was happy with the food recommendations including lobster rolls, brioche berries french toast, duck tacos, coconut shrimp, raw oysters. Highly recommend the coconut pineapple risotto pudding and the sweet potato creme brulee. It was too hot to enjoy the outdoor sun patio, rooftop or waterfront walkway, but we will surely return to enjoy reggae over drinks on a mild Sunday Funday.
