In Dobbs Ferry, the Half Moon restaurant is a member of the Fort Pond Bay Company that provides a casual and sophisticated American dining experience. Located on the water, guests are invited to sit near one of the windows to enjoy a spectacular sunset over the Hudson River, grab a high backed bar stool to watch a sporting event at the bar or sit on the outdoor patio at Half Moon. A variety of small plates and salad at Half Moon are perfect for sharing with the table. I use to go here when it was the Chart House, I still love this restaurant. Between our awesome waitor, the company of our business asscoiaates, atmosphere/scenery ,location & food,it was truly a perfect night. The bar/lounge area was a great area to relax and mingle..fire place added warmth along with the beautiful scenery. We are looking forward to all going back especially when the weather gets a bit warmer so we can sit outside. Love this restaurant and I highly recommend it. We all agreed, our waitor was friendly, had a good sense of humor and knew the menu well enough to pick out our appetizers and dessert ...he gets Kudos from all 8 of us!

Two of the four meals that were served were good. The two fillet of sole dishes, however, were unpleasant experiences for both me and my wife. The fish was mushy and this was made worse by being served in a pool of light sauce which made it even mushier. We couldn't understand what the appeal of such a consistency of sole could be. I say this because it seemed intentional by the consistency of the presentation between the two meals. The salads were very good as was the service but I felt it was too pricey ($56 for one surf and turf dinner and $21.50 for two uninspiring glasses of Merlot).

We had an intimate table for two by the window and full view of all the sparkling lights on New Year's Eve. The food is always good at Half Moon, but I was totally impressed with the exceptional service we received. A holiday dinner out can be a total disaster but this was not the case at all. We never felt rushed, the courses came out with perfect timing, our water glasses were always refilled - perfect the entire night through. I would go back again and again.

We've dined at Half Moon many times over the last 6 years, and generally have had very good meals. We had not been there in a while, and decided to go for dinner. The menu has changed considerably since our last visit, and unfortunately not for the better. We each ordered the pork, clam and chorizo dish, which ended up being dreadful. The best part of our meal was the bread. If this had been our first time at Half Moon we would never go back.

Reservation for 7 and young girls at front seemed confused then sat us at table set for 6. View of kitchen and server's stationwhen other table with view of river available our entire visit. Food unremarkable. Noise level was loud. Server did try hard to please but never returned for drink refills order. Disappointed especially since it was birthday lunch celebration

Our family of five visited Half Moon for brunch. The service was very good and the setting was very nice. We were seated at a table with a water view. The food is adequate but overpriced. No entry was spectacular, just okay. My french fries were served lukewarm and the bun on the lobster roll appetizer should be toasted. You are definitely paying for the view and not the quality of the food.
