A really nice meal the evening before my Wife’s birthday. It was really special as we were accompanied by our Granddaughters who were visiting from New Zealand, their first trip back in 14 years. We live in the village as they did before they left. It was nice to be able to walk to the pub and have a nice leisurely meal and a drink. Our Granddaughters and myself had the famous Yorkshire Puddings which were really delicious while my wife had chicken which she really enjoyed. We had a really nice table and while all the tables were occupied we didn’t feel crowded. A really nice experience in all aspects.

THIS IS A VERY PLEASANT COUNTRY PUB AND YOU ARE MADE WELCOME AS SOON AS YOU ENTER. THE MANAGEMENT HAS CHANGED AND AS THIS IS OUR FIRST VISIT SINCE THE CHANGE, WE CAN ONLY SAY ITS FOR THE BETTER. THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLANT AND THE MENU CHOICE VERY GOOD. ALL FOUR HAD SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND WE ALL FELT PLEASED WITH OUR CHOICE.

Both the owner and staff are very accommodating and display a genuine interest to ensure the meal/evening is pleasant without "been a nuisance". Combined with the quality Yorkshire Puddings a winning formula and does not need changing. Good luck to the new owners and long may it continue.
