Hale Pele in Portland is an exciting tiki bar offering a feast for all the senses as well as an assortment of drink and dining specials. A unique menu of small plates serves up dishes by all the flavors of the South Pacific. When you get to Hale Pele, be sure to try out the lumpia, made with fresh pork and veggies or the salt and pepper taro chips. Other favorites of the house include delicious kalua pork, served on a bed of cabbage and rice. Hale Pele also offers an extensive rum list, as well as cocktails. Drink specials include the navy grog, zombie punch and three dots and a dash. And be sure to ask about the big group drinks, like the volcano bowl.

Sometimes you just need a little tropical experience on a cold Portland day. Hale Pele is comfortable, a delight to the senses, and welcoming. The drinks are all enticing, and despite the potential for sugar overload, none of them are cloyingly sweet. The housemade syrups are delicious and complex, making each drink a delight. They went out of their way to make our large group welcome and happy. A perfect Tiki time.

We celebrated my Husband's Birthday at Hale Pele and had an amazing time. Service was excellent, fire drinks were incredible and we loved the ambiance. We will definitely visit Hale Pale again!

Love this place. Had a large party private table in the back. Everyone from my 65 year old conservative baptist father to my 21 year old party hound employee loved it. Couldn't recommend it higher.
