It was awesome
Hi,
I had a dinner for my birthday with my girlfriend, she said from the beginning than she was coconuts allergy and it’s was everything good apart and the end for the dessert the waitress brought on the table the dessert, we started to eat and my girlfriend recognised the coconuts inside !!!! The manager he didn’t do it almost anything just ask for a coffee because For him help the allergy!!???
I sent an mail into the web site Hakkasan New York and no one reply yet , after 4 days I don t think it gonna happens!!! Anyway I’m very disappoint !!!
Love this restaurant!! Would really recommend it!
All food are too sweet. It is not Chinese. We disappointed with all dishes.
Fabulous as always!
Great place! Excellent food. I had the vegetarian dumplings. yummy
The food and atmosphere at Hakkasan were outstanding. The service was excellent as well. The sea bass and dim sum were out of this world
Dim sum platter is a must !! Absolutely delicious 😋😋We
Also had the tea smoked spare ribs, mushroom, eggplant & Tofu, spicy prawns.. all of which was great. We love the food here
The food is delicious the service was a little too much but good effort and friendly
The place is very spectacular especially for Timesquare the portions are tiny especially for Times Square it’s touristy but again it’s Time Square and the prices are outrageous!
At an equally fancy and expensive restaurants such as the Peking duck house you get three or 4 times the amount of duck prepared tableside for $68 as opposed to the $88 of quite good Peking duck and quite lame shredded duck and mushroom stirfry that was greasy cheap and not good at all
A $35 dim sum sampler is obscene again in Chinatown you can get four times the portion of better dim sum at a quarter of the price!
All in all I felt like I was at Disney World or Atlantic City and for these prices in New York City you can do much better
Honestly if you plan on being here in 10 years you should increase your portions and decrease your prices otherwise you’ll never ever be able to afford what I’m sure is enormous rent for such a restaurant in such an area
Wonderful meal and great athmosphere! Would recommend this place to everyone who likes anexperience out of the ordinary!
Cool vibe, especially the bar. Excellent food but service could use polishing.
Deserve a Michelin star.
The food was good, but just not as special as hoped and over priced/over hyped.
Food service and ambiance was lovely - pricey but elegant chinese
We got to the restaurant a few mins early. It took a while for the server to come. We ordered and the shumai appetizer came out quickly. The restaurant was not crowded and we went early b/c we had a show to get to. Our entrees took an extremely long tome to come out. The waitress avoided our table and finally the manager came out after it had been an hour since we got our appetizer and said the entrees would be out soon. It took 15 more minutes. The manager finally came out again and apologized. He never offered to comp anything or take care of our bill or anything. This is totally unacceptable at a high end restaurant that prides itself on service. The food is good but expensive. There are many other places in NYC to get good Chinese food at a better price and with better service. Go somewhere else.
Great service and ambience.
Nephew's birthday celebration. He lost his dad recently and we wanted to make sure he enjoyed his day.
Amazing! Wonderful evening
Great food
The duck two ways was awesome
Good food,excellent service,nice atmosphere !!!
Space is beautiful and calming. Staff is exceptional. Food is fine, but way too expensive for what it is. Great Theater District dining is rare. This is one of the better choices near theaters, just be prepared to pay for sweet and sour pork.
lack of follow up and pacing was deficient --could have been much better --both of the guests thanked me for dinner but were disappointed --
If you're not experienced to fine dining, you might think the portions are small. Overall experience is great, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere. The waitress did good job tio
Absolutely excellent as always!
Wonderful and creative ... as well as beautiful. Takes a couple of visits to understand the menu ... but servers and bar tenders do know well.
The only real issue is the small (measured) drinks ... and the very high price ....the small issue a bigger issue than the price ... seems unlike the balance of the overall experience.
Love the ambience there and they’re great at getting you out for theater. Menu has changed a bit and some dishes (dim sum basket, stir fried chicken)were disappointing. All very $$$.
Celebrating my wife's birthday, they surprised her with a wonderful desert. Loved this place
Beautifully restaurant with good service, BUT it feels like a rip off!
I went there with my wife for Valentine's dinner. We were offered a Valentine Prix Fix menu. I had my concerns about the Prix fix menu, but we ended up ordering from that and it was ninety-something dollars for a person. The food we got was very mediocre for the price but most importantly the portion sizes were super small. I'm not expecting American diner oversized portions in here! We go to high-end restaurants all the time and understand what to expect from a place like that! Here the sizes were not adequate for 2 adults!
For an appetizer we got crispy duck roll, 2 rolls - and that's not two full rolls, that was two sashimi like pieces with duck over rice. Two of them for two adults! The duck was overcooked and the rice was over-fried by the way! Then there was a famous supreme dim sum basket. 8 super small pieces! It tasted ok but I ate a better dim sum! For the main course, we had Land and See, with wagyu ribeye and lobster tail. This was supposed to be for two people. The ribeye was good but 8 thin slices. The lobster tail was good as well, but again it was super small, probably from the one-pounder lobster. As a side, they gave us mustard leaves salad. I was allergic to mustard and tolled it to the waitress but she was trying to convince me that mustard leaves and mustard that I'm allergic to are two different things, not realizing that mustard is made out mustard plant! So I could not eat that! To summarize the main course was good but supper small for two adults! We also ordered vegetable fried rice for the side, surprisingly the Prix fix menu didn't include it. The rice was really good, and a good portion size. So basically the only thing we really liked in this restaurant was the rice!!!! We enjoyed the desert as well. But the overall experience was pretty bad. If you go here, DO NOT ORDER FROM PRIX FIX MENUS!
Great food in an exquisite setting. However, they have an irritating policy of sending you to wait in their bar area even when you have a confirmed reservation and all members of your party are present.
Food was good, not great. You expect great for what we paid.
Expensive but very good meal
The waitress was spectacular and the food was extremely tasty
We went to Hakkasan for a lunch on Sunday before a show. We ordered 1 dimsum basket, 1 vegetarian dimsum basket, and Hakka noodle. We also ordered 2 cocktails (The Hakka, flower and stone) and a dessert. Cocktails were amazing, especially The Hakka. Foods were very good and the black sesame and chocolate dimsum dessert was very nice! Loved this place and will definitely visit again.
Very wonderful experience. The food presentation and taste terrific.
It was beyond our expectations.
What a beautiful restaurant! The food was excellent, drinks deeeelicious. Loved the atmosphere.
We were celebrating a birthday and everything was fabulous! Delicious festive cocktails. Amazing and creative dishes. Our server Sandra F was lovely! We’ll definitely be back!
