Hakkasan seems to be suffering from front-of-house mismanagement. Food was great - as dependable as it’s always been. But the service was lacking- everything took forever, they left tables uncleared and dirty nearby for the entire duration of our meal and the leather seating was badly worn out and drabby. C’mon guys, lets keep this rare good-Chinese food restaurant with a nice decor working at tip top shape.

Food is fantastic—but our server was very inexperienced: he was inattentive and did not fill several of our requests without multiple reminders.

Good for a Sunday lunch with family (seniors and kid). Modern setting and music with comfortable seating. Not traditional Chinese decoration. Food is good. Some dishes are too salty according to my taste, but overall is good. Service is appropriate. A nice experience.

Hello,

Honestly, I felt that management changed or at least that was the feeling. It took us long to order food, they didn’t have Penkin Duck which is one of their staples, this time it was different I don’t think I will go again unfortunately. It was not the experience we had before.....! Our Servent was ok, but again it took a long, long time for us to order food and ask for the check.....!

LOVE THIS PLACE... food is incredibly tasty. Lots of fun options. Not cheap but a totally upscale Chinese/dim sum place with a new wave twist. Awesome cocktails. Peking Duck was stellar. Shrimp toast yummy and noodles were delicious. Because its Chinese New Year loved the drums and Chinese dragon parading thru the restaurant. Cute touch. We will be back for sure.

I've been to the restaurant in SF, but this was my first visit to the one in NYC. My memory says the food in SF was better. Although having said that, the food at this restaurant was also good, but didn't fall into the category of "to die for". We ordered the lotus root stir fry, a mock chicken dish and chicken in a claypot dish. All were good, but not great. The Hakka noodles were okay - no better, no worse than any other place I've had similar dishes. The cocktails were also good. Excellent service.

Amazing as always. The Peking Duck is not to be missed. The Fried soft shell crab with egg yolk and the duck salad for appetizers are delicious. Also the sea bass is another favorite. Special house made macarons replace fortune cookies for dessert. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!

Great evening out in NYC. Hakkasan was great as always. Perfect crispy duck salad, amazing spicy prawns, Mongolian beef, and root lotus with asparagus. Ambiance and lighting elevate the whole experience.

Food a mix of good and mediocre. Service was terrible. Food and drink arrived in a random order but essentially all at once - choose which dish you want to be cold when you eat it and have your cocktail after your main course. Real disappointment after what we are used to at Hakkasan Hanway Place in London. The NY version is clearly trading on the name and reputation but not living up to expectations.

We ordered from the $108 menu instead of from the a la carte menu. The food was excellent from the dim sum and the spareribs to the main dishes and the dessert.
Everything was wonderful and we would do it again.

One of the best Asian restaurants in New York City. Great decor and ambiance. The bar is stunning, other-worldly, and huge. Service is fantastic. Wonderful experience every time I go.

I chose this restaurant after a NY Times article that mentioned the fortune cookies (as good a reason as any for choosing a restaurant in NYC). We had a wonderful lunch (the dim sum) and the food and service was excellent. When the check came, I mentioned the fortune cookies and was told they only serve them at dinner. I said I was sorry to hear that since it was the reason I picked the restaurant. The hostess just shrugged and walked away. Put a bit of a damper on an otherwise lovely meal in a beautiful place. For a $125 lunch I think she could have found one in the kitchen??

Not your everyday Chinese food, but whoa pricey! And be prepared for service with attitude. All in all, food was really tasty and presentation was nice too.

Waited over an hour for the food to arrive, in a relatively empty restaurant. When I complained to the manager, he couldn't care less.

We decided to try out Hakkasan during Restaurant Week. A good decision since we didn't spend too much. Food taste was fair at best and service was disinterested and sporadic. I won't return and will not recommend. Best left as a tourist trap.
