Great modern Chinese food. All dishes are high quality and served beautifully. Great cocktails and amazing bartender. Also impressive wine list and very competent sommelier. Nice ambience and buzzy but not too loud. Not cheap by any standard but a worth it all in all.
It was quite goohk
Food took over an hour to arrive. Our server seemed lost. We told him twice we had to leave for our show. He took one entree off our bill. Great food spoiled by poor service. Food was arriving all around us. Crispy prawns were amazing!!
Flavio the manager was incredible
I tried this Chinese restaurant in the theater district and was not disappointed. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful and the ambience quiet and comforting . The food was creative and delicious with lots of variety. A very welcoming place to dine.
Great. Will go back
Food was good as usual. A little quiet on a Monday night but that is ok. Service good too. Lost one star as they forgot one of our drinks :)
I've been here several times and each time the food is spot on. Drinks are great too.
The service was great, the food was wonderful, but unfortunately we were seated beside a party of four with one person who was loud, swearing, and obnoxious.
Management was aware of his rudeness and one staff glared at him but no one offered to move us and the party I was with did not want me to ask.
We had a dim sum lunch with our grandchildren. The restaurant was very attractively decorated; a large space divided into smaller rooms, which helped to keep the noise at acceptable levels. The service was attentive, responsive and helpful. Having dim sum enabled us to taste a wide variety of dishes, which were consistently excellent. The prices however, were a bit steep. Further, the restaurant is not clearly marked and can be difficult to find.
Best fine cuisine, asian restaurant in New York! Excellent service
The best chicken fried rice on the planet.
Great service, fantastic food. Tables a bit close together.
We all ordered the Luncheon $39 special and loved the choices that were included. Though the portions are smallish, the taste was outstanding of each dishlet! Our red dressed waitress was smooth and friendly and comfortable as well as efficient. The ambiance of the entire restaurant offered a wonderful, restful break from the busy humdrum that is New York! We will definitely book this restaurant again!
Trendy place with a cool setting and great bar. Would definitely go back
Everything was excellent. I guess they don't serve coffee. I ordered coffee after the meal and the waiter laughed and walked away. Never did get coffee.
More quiet at a late lunch
Good food. Waiter was very attentive and made good recommendations. The ambiance and decor is to die for! Would recommend overall
The dim sum platter was very creative, beautifully plated, and delicious.
Our first time there. Food was incredible and not what you usually find on the Chinese menu. Service was excellent. We were not rushed, but the courses were well paced. We will definitely go back again and again
We’re a family with kids who are a little shy about dim sum. We had a great meal. Lovely food, friendly service, quiet ambiance (weekend lunch). Highly recommended.
Excellent modern Chinese cuisine restaurant close to the Theater District in Manhattan. I always try to return to Hakkasan when I am in Manhattan. The service is always very attentive, food is excellent and they have a great champagne selection which to my mind goes very well with Chinese dishes. I recommend to try the XO duck, if you like duck dishes, and
the “ chocolate dumplings” for desert.
Hakkasan seems to be suffering from front-of-house mismanagement. Food was great - as dependable as it’s always been. But the service was lacking- everything took forever, they left tables uncleared and dirty nearby for the entire duration of our meal and the leather seating was badly worn out and drabby. C’mon guys, lets keep this rare good-Chinese food restaurant with a nice decor working at tip top shape.
Food is fantastic—but our server was very inexperienced: he was inattentive and did not fill several of our requests without multiple reminders.
Service wasn’t great had 3 things on my bill that I didn’t order which was 60$ extra!
Good for a Sunday lunch with family (seniors and kid). Modern setting and music with comfortable seating. Not traditional Chinese decoration. Food is good. Some dishes are too salty according to my taste, but overall is good. Service is appropriate. A nice experience.
Honestly, I felt that management changed or at least that was the feeling. It took us long to order food, they didn’t have Penkin Duck which is one of their staples, this time it was different I don’t think I will go again unfortunately. It was not the experience we had before.....! Our Servent was ok, but again it took a long, long time for us to order food and ask for the check.....!
Enjoyed it very much!
Lunch time dim sum special- a treat!
Restaurant was overbooked by double per the manager. We waited over an hour to sit and two of the entrees we went there for were no longer available. Front desk staff extremely rude and noticeably overwhelmed.
Manager was very nice and helpful. We are regulars in nyc and other locations. Not a great experience. Hopefully a one off
LOVE THIS PLACE... food is incredibly tasty. Lots of fun options. Not cheap but a totally upscale Chinese/dim sum place with a new wave twist. Awesome cocktails. Peking Duck was stellar. Shrimp toast yummy and noodles were delicious. Because its Chinese New Year loved the drums and Chinese dragon parading thru the restaurant. Cute touch. We will be back for sure.
Very slow and rude
Chinese New Year menu is not the best
Is so good the food most the salad duck 🤪😋
I've been to the restaurant in SF, but this was my first visit to the one in NYC. My memory says the food in SF was better. Although having said that, the food at this restaurant was also good, but didn't fall into the category of "to die for". We ordered the lotus root stir fry, a mock chicken dish and chicken in a claypot dish. All were good, but not great. The Hakka noodles were okay - no better, no worse than any other place I've had similar dishes. The cocktails were also good. Excellent service.
Amazing as always. The Peking Duck is not to be missed. The Fried soft shell crab with egg yolk and the duck salad for appetizers are delicious. Also the sea bass is another favorite. Special house made macarons replace fortune cookies for dessert. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could!
Food wasn’t good as much as before, but still good.
Service was very slow, had to look for waiter several times for dessert menu and check.
Great evening out in NYC. Hakkasan was great as always. Perfect crispy duck salad, amazing spicy prawns, Mongolian beef, and root lotus with asparagus. Ambiance and lighting elevate the whole experience.
