Man... so upsetting! The drinks and dessert were AMAZING! But the food? Horrible. I don’t know if it was an off night or because they’ve been there too long, it just was not up to par. Mr Chows, Phillippe, and Tao blow Hakksan out the water. Not worth the price and the Food was just ok. The only thing besides dessert and drinks that was good was the fried rice, but not worth a $500 bill. It was great for $10 rice.

The waiter pushed us to order more than we could eat. The food were greasy and unauthentic. We've been to many Michelin-starred restaurants around the world, and Hakkasan is one of the greatest disappointments. Overall a terrible experience & would tell my friends to avoid this restaurant.

The restaurant is visually quite impressive with great lighting and design. The food is superb and the service attentive but discreet. Wonderful experience for my family.

Reserved a table for four persons 3 months in advance as this was new years eve. While ordering our food specifically informed waiter that our orders should be separate as one of us does not tolerate fish. Ordered chicken fried rice for main course but they served fish fried rice. No apology was given - food abruptly removed and waiter scolded the person like a 5 year old "you should have informed me" and handed the menu for a new order !
Do you realize the consequences of serving fish products to a person who is allergic ?? Understand that mistakes can be made but no apology is completely unacceptable. When bill arrived only the "chicken fried aka fish fried rice" had been removed. Prompted our waiter for apology and only then got a worthless "sorry". Our bill ran for +400 USD but we will never be dining there again needless to say.

The food was outstanding. The service was good but the server took a very long time to take our order. They made up for it by paying very close attention after that and this redeemed themselves .
The crispy duck was certainly one of the best I have ever had !

Didn’t meet my expectations. I had been twice before at Hakkassan Miami and thought that since this was their “New York” was going to be better than Miami ‘s but the food was pretty average. Not a flavor to remember. The service was very kind though. But For me it was a “Very expensive PF Chang meal” nothing more.

Service and food was excellent. My only criticism is to tone down or eliminate entirely the incense -- it hits you in the entry vestibule and continues throughout the restaurant. It overpowers the food and drinks and is very distracting (especially if you don't care for an incense smell). I understand the need for the Asian vibe, but the food, decor, and ambiance speak for themselves.

The dumplings were excellent as was the Bok Choy. Chilean Sea Bass was below average, and under seasoned as were many if the options Overall, was not impressed with dim sum. Very cool space however.

My husband and I frequently dine at the Hakkasan in Miami Beach where the food and service are impeccable. Our experience today at the NYC location did not disappoint on the food aspect but the service was pretty terrible. The restaurant was severely affected understaffed. It took a long while to receive our food. We never received our tea until mid way through the meal and then they gave us a different flavor than what we ordered because they said they ran out of the flavor we selected. Turns out the one they brought us was more expensive but they didn't bother to share that until the bill came. The busboy was barely around to refill our water or clear the table. All in all a disappointing experience.

I used to go to Hakkasan for all special occasions for years and endure the awful service because the food was actually good. These days it's on a fast decline. Service continues to be terrible and now the food is terrible to match. Never going back.

Service was very slow. We told them we had a show to go to. We had to ask someone to take our order. Then we had to have them check on the food. Two dishes came undercooked which the took back and subtracted from the menu but it doesn't make for a great dining experience.

The food and drinks here are exceptionally unique. The service is fine and their kitchen is larger than most entire restaurant spaces. This is a HUGE space and well worth waiting for reservations.

Awesome food! Minor error in the order, but would go again in a heartbeat. Also, amazing cocktail. Every bit as good as I remember in London at the original Hakkasan in 2003! Highly, highly recommend this restaurant!

I celebrated my birthday here last night and we all had a wonderful time. I was running a bit late and was able to move my reservation back 45 mins w/o a problem. We sat by the bar as my party of 6 arrived one by one. Bartenders were very nice and attentive. Drinks were great but pricey (expected at a restaurant such as this). Food over all was pretty good. One chicken dish we didn’t like too much and sent it back (which was taken off the bill). Overall a great dining experience and we will return in the future.

We had a wonderful reunion with friends from our trip to China. Lychee Martini is the best drink I've ever had. We've eaten at Hakkasan NY before and they just hit it out of the ball park everytime. From the service to the quality and creativeness of the food you can't get any better than this. Our friends had the vegetarian tasting menu and it was unbelievably good. You won't go wrong with anything you order here. Thank you again!

We enjoyed dim sum plates and cocktails before a show. Execution & flavor of everything was excellent with one small complaint. The fried shrimp dim sum was designed for drama with 5-inch 'streamers' of dumpling strips shooting up and therefore an incredibly awkward food to eat. It is a basic dumpling that they've added drama to...not to good effect!

We had the Hakka steamed dim sum (perfection), the jasmine pork ribs (delectable!), the green salad, in addition to the shrimp dumplings. The staff was excellent. We ended the meal with the black sesame & chocolate dumplings which were a lovely explosion of flavor. (Thank you to the staff for the recommendation as we would have made a mess with 'ladylike' bites!)

It is an expensive night vs. many other options you could choose. But if you want to enjoy great service and a creative menu, then it is worth it.
