Our server was rude.
Used to be much better.
Food portions have become smaller. Prices higher. Quality has declined a bit (was served cold noodles, when they should have been warm!). Overall an ok experience. Not worth the price.
Service was among the worst I've ever experienced. The waitress could barely be bothered to give us information on the menu or recommendations based on dietary restrictions and/or preferences. The bill was incorrect when given to us and the waitress seemed annoyed we wanted it to be corrected before paying the bill. The food was good. Atmosphere was nice. In no way would I return due to the service that was given to us.
Probably the best dim sum I’ve ever had (and I’ve had very good dim sum in inter alia Hong Kong and San Francisco)!
An unexpected treat in the theatre district - absolutely delicious - very special
While the Hakkasan Shanghai and London seem to have more variety and better chefs, Hakkasan New York is still a pleasurable experience with delicious food and nice atmosphere
Beautiful restaurant with food that is very good and service that is even better. I would definitely eat here again.
This place is always Excellent great ambiance and vibe. The god is excellent
Our Main server seemed inconvenienced, but the supporting wait staff was fantastic. Most of our food was amazing, but my wife’s fried rice was basic and not flavorful. The ambience was fantastic!
I live Hakkasan, however I do t think I’d ever go back on a Friday after work. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated with a reservation and the service was great taking our order, . The courses came out timely but the food wasn’t as good as it has been on the past.
Perfect for pre theatre dinner.
Cool place, right in theater district so good for pre-theater. Cool place, while large they have it broken into a bunch of smaller areas so it feels intimate.
Music playing and lots of talking, a fun upbeat vibe.
Service was off. Took a while to get a drink, then nobody came to get us from the bar as we waited, had to check back in. Once seated they were out of the bottle of champagne we ordered, when asked for a recommended replacement they pointed to one 50% higher in cost. They also were out of the dessert we ordered so brought a different one without checking in as to what we might want. Then brought the wrong check. That said, the food was good to great. The Hakkasan dim sum was great, and the Peking duck outrageously good, get it! The pepper beef was really good as well, as was the spring onion fried rice. The spicy prawns were not at all spicy, and just ok/good overall. At $400 with tax and tip, there was certainly no value, but is NYC theater district, so you know that going in...
Great experience the waitress could be a touch more professional - she was probably the worst part.
Service was horrible. People around us were seated after us and got service before us. Had to get up and get help from others in restaurant.
Someone in my party has a shrimp allergy and waitress even gave me a hard time about plating shrimp dim sum on a different plate as the duck dim sum.
Was there to celebrate an occasion but never got to dessert because service was so slow. Had to get up and bring my check to bar area to get someone to process it. Told waitress when we sat down that we needed to leave to make a show but that was completely ignored.
Potion sizes on multiple dishes we ordered was small. Much smaller than when we were there in the past.
Very disappointing overall experience.
superior chinese food, very good and kind service, good vegan/veggie options, nice wine list, will return soon
Amazing. Food was excellent. Service incredible. Presentation fantastic
Outstanding pecking duck
Everything was top notch as usual
Top choice for pre-theater or any other occasion. Beautiful surroundings and decor.
Excellent food as always. They no longer offer wet towels before & between dining. Service was good throughout.
amazing as usual, everything is perfect. best restaurant in town !!
The hot and sour soup and peking duck was excellent; but the spicy shrimp entree was not at all spicy and the chicken fried rice was hardly fried.
Steve was the best server I’ve ever had in my life and then I have to give a shout-out to the sommelier, Cynthia, because that girl killed it with the recommendations, she knows her stuff.
As before I had a great experience at Hakkasan - very tasty Chinese inspired food and very attentive service. The vegetable dim sum are excellent! I do recommend try the dishes which are only available at this location on 43rd street and 8th Ave. in New York as the honey and chilli duck breast and the chocolate desert.
excellent dinner - something for everyone. the food was delicious and the atmosphere was exciting and fun. Would certainly go back!
This is an unusual space. quiet, darkened and very appropriate. The service was unrushed and very competent. The menu takes some getting use to but produces many highlights. The food is beautifully prepared and presented. Best of all, it is delicious. the whole experience was delightful.
It's like a 1930's Shanghai bordello/opium den … in the best possible way!
Gorgeous food - always go for one of their prix fix option. You'll thank me later
Sometimes I dream about their Lychee Martinis. I could bathe in the stuff
Service was erratic
Our server could not take the order because she was helping others
Her attention was inconsistent
We clearly stated we had an 8 pm show
Desert was not served by 7:45
We clearly felt ignored
I was extremely disappointed in the service and embarrassed to have brought our friends
I am not sure I am gong to keep my reservation on November 2nd
This was an unexpected find in the Times Square area. Amazing food, incredible cocktails and Scotch list, and the service and ambience were top notch. Would go again in a heartbeat!
This was our second time to Hakkasan and as the first...it did not disappoint.
We always love dining at Hakasan The food is beautifully presented and delicious. It touches all of your senses. It is fragrant, visually stimulating and does not disappoint. My best advice is to go with friends so you can share and taste as many different dishes as possible.
Very nice ambience, food was good.
Na Londen ook in New York dit fantastische restaurant bezocht. Wat een geweldig eten, zo vol smaak ! Zeer vriendelijke bediening.
The hostess was very rude. It seemed she needed to leave the place early. She told us they needed to close the kitchen early and that she was going tos ask if the could have us. When she came back she was with a long face and showed us our table
The restaurant is absolutely stunning and our waiter was very attentive.
From checking in with the hostess to picking up our umbrellas (a very rainy evening) it was a wonderful experience. The food and wine was amazing and the chocolate dumplings as dessert was a total surprise. So cute and delicious! Noise level was minimal.
Highly recommended to go with someone special.
The Din Sum is to die for... beautiful, creative... and tasteful!! Many surprises
