   Wagyu beef appetizer flavor was off – too salty and not enough chili and sour to balance the excessive amount of salt. The dish felt lifeless and confused overall. The chef’s signature garlic shrimp was good, but the Thai butter really should have had a bit more fish sauce, tang, and chili to offset the heavy fat content. Overall, not the greatest value and quite confused as to why this restaurant was a James Beard finalist.

   This place consistently does not dissapoont! We have never had a bad experience or meal! We sat at the bar and had a better experience than traditional seating! Can't wait to return

   Phenomenal meal best Vietnamese food that we have tasted in the US. Owners have elevated the standard flavors of this food using fine dining technique and high end ingredients. We had wings, crab fried rice and whole fluke. Nước chấm was sensational. Bravo!

   Food is always exemplary and consistent. Service tonight was extraordinary. It’s become a go to spot for special evenings out. First rate .

   We absolutely LOVED the food! Service fell a little flat though with little to no explanation of what was being served unless we asked and then asked followup questions…not quite hitting the Michelin level we had expected. We also had a group of 6 for the tasting menu and found the pacing off. The dishes arrived one after another and there was not room to comfortably have them all on the table. Overall, hoping that was not the regular level of service, I would 100% go back because the food was so creative and delicious!

   We ordered the Chef’s tasting menu. It was a leap of faith not being familiar with Vietnamese cuisine. I asked if I could substitute the meat for anything else & was told the chef could accommodate. The kitchen did serve the entrees before the appetizers which threw off our wine pairing but it did not affect our dining experience. I did have to ask our waiter to explain what was in each dish as kitchen staff was only delivering plates. The bowl of curry that the chef replaced the meat entree with was outstanding. It was rich & creamy with a touch of sweetness. I’ll go back just for the curry. Wow! The sweet potato dessert was quite interesting & enjoyable. The custard filling was sweet but complemented the sweet potato. Thank you for a wonderful Birthday dinner. Street parking is a challenge so leave lots of time to find a spot. Will definitely return & have already recommended to friends. Delicious!

    Just superb, fascinating food,. Not a dish that wasn't intriguing and tasty (we've now eaten through most of the current menu). Deserving of Michelin rating and James Beard nomination. Service is both knowledgeable and friendly. We liked the space, which was open and lively while still allowing for easy conversation. Now definitely on our favorites list.
