Hadskis has a great selection of wines by the glass, as well as a selection of local beers and cocktails. Hadskis run a selection of events during the week which included Wine Mondays, with themed 3 course menu matched to wines, alongside Gin and Craft beer tastings. We can accommodate most food intolerances. Open late every night.
My 60th birthday so our lunch was special and our server helped us feel relaxed and looked after. She went as far as taking photos for us with our phones. And although we were supposed to have left by 4pm they didn't push us out. A positive experience, good food, good wine, nice cocktail. Happy bunny.
This was our last night in Belfast and it was memorable thanks to the excellent service and food at Hadskis. Would highly recommend going.
Really great night. Food and service was outstanding. Friendly, professional staff. Particularly enjoyed the lemon posset - mixture of raspberry, peach and biscotti worked a treat. Will be back.
Everything was lovely. Most enjoyable evening
Wonderful food and service but got very noisy during the evening
Great food, great service.
Food was good but didn’t like the 10% service charge for the two of us! Also extremely noisy
This was our first visit to Hadskis and it was lovely. Food and service was excellent. The only slight negative would be is the dining tables are placed quite close together so you are very close to the next table therefore you can overhear everything said and doesn’t give much privacy.
A special family meal whilst on holiday in Belfast. Many thanks.
Restaurant experience was great, as was the food, just one problem.
My complaint was that after booking through opentable for 8pm, they called me back an hour later (4hrs before the time of booking on a Saturday) to tell me that they had no tables and offered us to eat at their bar on high stools.
I had to ask if they could sort something out for me and in fairness they did, arranging a new slot for 7pm instead, which was hassle but better than nothing.
I personally think that once you book with opentable there should be no call back from the restaurant at all. It would put me off going again even though the experience, once we were there, was really good.
A hidden gem in the Cathedral quarter of Belfast. The team at this restaurant provide an great experience through their service and the tremendously good food.
Long slim dining room with floor to ceiling windows down one side. We went on a friends recommendation and were not disappointed. Wine offerings by the glass were interesting, and the menu too.
Disappointed experience here. One of the 3 apps were okay; food overall was presented well but didn’t have much flavor or wow appeal. Mocktail for the pregnant lady was really good, but otherwise wouldn’t recommend.
Great night all round
Fantastic for our business dinner
Way too noisy, impossible to talk. A quiet table was requested, but I doubt any existed. Why not set aside a few tables in a corner area for those older folks that request one. It might decrease profits on certain nights, but increase in the long run.
Amazing food. Service was incredible ...ambience was beautiful..fabulous experience. Thank you from England.
Meals are always good but the selection is limited which impacts how many times I can visit and be pleasantly surprised by the meal. I am always confident that any one I bring will enjoy their meal.
I have been to Hadskis a number of times and always enjoy the food. It is a bit tight in the restaurant but that is also because it is always busy. It is sometimes hard to have a conversation there given the number of people there.
The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. We had chowder and squid for starters followed by a sirloin and a rib eye steak. The steaks were cooked exactly as ordered and were really nice we also had a portion of mushrooms. I had the cherry and almond pie. The whole meal was really enjoyable and we will definitely return.
We went to Hadskis twice, firstly one evening and then at lunchtime two days later. The service was excellent and the food was superb, unusual combinations like pork belly and octopus but they worked really well, my wife stopped me from licking the plate after the main course. Service throughout was superb, we were recognised the second time and in the evening, there was a huge number of really efficient staff. They also had a range of beer from Northern Ireland which not every restaurant had and certainly out Hotel didn’t.
Thoroughly recommended and good value considering the quality of the food. It’s a small space and at first seemed noisy but we quickly got used to it.
First time I’ve been to any restaurant when, after settling a £110 bill (two people) including a £10 service charge that the waiter in no uncertain words asked us to leave because someone was waiting on our seats. We were not informed of this when we arrived for our table which was booked in advance, had we of been made aware of the table being required back for a particular time we would have happily vacated it. We will never set foot in this restaurant again which is a shame as the food was great. We had considered it for an upcoming family birthday meal, not anymore. Terrible service!
Really lovely food, a friend brought us for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Really nice atmosphere and staff where really friendly. Food was great
The food was absolutely beautiful lovely local produce cooked to perfection. The restaurant wasvbusy and had a good atmosphere . The staff were excellant so friendly and helpful . Will certainly bexback
Proposed, said no. Steak made up for the rejection
Very enjoyable experience with excellent food and great service
Second time at Hadskis. I gave it a second chance. The first time I ordered fish which was very cooked like cotton wool. They were very nice about it and made no charge.
I went back and started with Crab which was over salted but not terrible but it was crunchy which I can only presume was shell!
I also ordered Sirloin steak Medium rare. it came closer to rare than medium which was absolutely fine, the steak itself was tough and a struggle to cut. There were sinews? through the meat which made it even more difficult. I don't know if that is to be expected for sirloin.
When asked at the end I mentioned it and they charged half price for the steak.
This is poor cooking and/or suppliers. Non of the above requires the ability to look at a high level but their chefs seem unable to get even basic things right.
I won't be back.
Fabulous food some of the best we have had in belfast , we will be nk soon !
This is second visit in a month and I had learned from last time to ask for a quieter table as I have hearing issues. This was accommodated with good grace. The whole family had a great night. Good atmosphere and enjoyable meal. Interesting but unpretentious food. Loved the pea and broad bean risotto. Chocolate tart a big hit. Felt the staff were engaging but not overbearing. Will return.
We loved our visit and meal at Hadskis. It was our first visit to Belfast and we will definitely return. Lovely staff and meal. Great all the way around.
The staff are very friendly and the menu is varied. The only downside is the noise. It was a Saturday Night which I suppose is a busy time. I liked being able to book.
My husband and I visited Hadskis on a Saturday night in a very busy cathedral quarter area in Belfast, we were very lucky to be offered a seat without a booking as it was extremely busy and their tables were all full and not an empty chair in sight. We were offered stools along a long cool counter, these overlook Chefs busy preparing perfectly cooked meals, this is such a treat to watch like a perfectly rehearsed show. We had a fabulous cocktail from a modern list to start while we explored a menu featuring great specials, delicious European dishes alongside Northern Irish steaks, fresh homemade pasta and delicious desserts from cheese to the tart of the day. The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient and our food was amazing.
If you prefer to be seated at a table you would probably need to book, these overlook the beautifully cobbled commercial court just past the classic pub The Duke of York.
Overall we had a great visit and are already planning our next one to avail of some of the delightful menu choices we missed out on.
