Hachi- Costa Mesa
Hachi is as good as usual, we love to go this place for friends hangout and to have small tapas and hotpot together.
I love japanese food and i’ve been to many japanese restaurants. This is hands down my favorite. The simplicity of the menu and the authenticity of every food item is top notch. Great service also. Parking tip- park behind building next to medical building as plaza lot gets full.
Best izakaya in the OC! Authentic Japanese classy bar food with a good selection of sake and shochu
Love Hachi. It's one that we frequent regularly on our short list of favorites.
料理は美味しく
スタッフの対応も非常に良かった
The food here is really tasty. It can be a little pricey, but I think it is worth it. They can get busy, so making a reservation would be a good idea.
We took a Christmas dinner course and I know its fancy small tapas but for $100 for each person was still not enough
Food quality was great
But we were the only one who ordered ...
Good Hospitality Service and Great Authentic Japanese Foods and Sake.
Birthday we went. We are very happy for good food especially “Notsu Nane”
Food was mediocre at best. They completely destroyed our Thanksgiving evening. Two of ordered appetizers were so salty, it was impossible to eat. I could understand when such things happen when chefs are in hurry, but restaurant was almost empty and they have 3 chefs on duty. We always friendly and leave very generous tips. Who knows, maybe they did it on purpose, because we are not Asian. Anyway, it's OC and there are so many places with a good Japanese food where we always can get a great dinner.
We have got a bad experience with a food here second time in the row. It used to be our favorite place to go, but we are going to avoid it now.
Loud very not that busy but sever didn’t take off plates
This was my second visit to Hachi. It was my birthday this time around and my friend was treating me out to nice dinner. Even though it was just the two of us, we ordered quite a bit of food. We had two different types of fresh oysters, beef tongue, pork cheek, gobo chips, battera, stir-fried beef intestine, croquette, scallop risotto, and the pork shabu! The beef tongue is thick cut, and always a must. The scallop risotto was the best surprise of the night, with its cheesy deliciousness. The main star as the thick pork bone broth that was the shabu shabu. The broth itself was super creamy and delicious. Definitely a great place to take a date and for special occasions. The prices are a little step, but the food will always be good!
Good food for the money if you like Izakaya style menus.
Some of the more expensive item we ordered ( steak) was cooked ok(medium) but was dry no taste even with sauce. Very cheap meat
Great food and service. I would love to go back again.
Great quality Japanese pub food. Can get crowded and the food takes a while to come out. So be prepared to spend time there chatting. Crowd is very lively. Will come back again.
It's our favorite spot for special occasions. It's high end, and worth it.
Really good food and service!
Really good. We will go back
Great food. We go often. The pork shabu with the noodles is a must! Love this place!
Love the people and the service is always great. Really friendly staff! The food is always great. Haven’t had anything bad every time I go to eat here.
Delicious Japanese Izakaya restaurant. It’s one of the best restaurant around here.
Not much to say. Authentic, unique and tasty
