H2O: Seafood & Sushi Ratings and Reviews
The service was extremely horrible. We ordered drinks from the bar when we arrived and brought them to our table. When we ordered a second round from our waiter it took forever to get a glass of wine and one drink was never served. When we asked about the wine we were told they were "tapping a new keg". It took about 25 minutes for the wine to arrive. Our water glasses weren't refilled until requested. The appetizers came out timely however about 45 minutes elapsed until our entrees came. We asked where our food was after the long wait and were told "it was fired late". Bottom line was fair-good food that you came find a any number of Long Island restaurants with bad service. Will not be returning.
Restaurant was vibrant and energetic! We were sat at a booth in the back which was directly in front of the heat vent. We would get the blast of hot air whenever the temperature dropped.
Food was great! We all had a fish dish that were cooked and presented very well
Would return again
Food was excellent and very well presented. The scallops with curry sauce was superb. Service was extremely professional yet friendly, the Valet Parking is a plus. The ambiance is a bit brighter then I would prefer and the booths give it a more casual feeling. Well worth the 40 minute drive.
Friends get together. We have been to H2O many times. Fish is the best. We were seated in a booth ( there are table and booth seating). Our crafted cocktails arrived to everyone’s delight. Popovers served next. Huge popovers were amazing! Oysters were served next with sauces of mignonette and cocktail sauce on the side. Oysters were delicious. Sushi was our next course and unfortunately the service dropped off. Sushi was left at table with no description as to what roll was what. No dishes, chopsticks, dipping dishes or soy sauce were delivered. Our friend had to flag down wait staff. In hindsight, a manager should have been notified. Finally, our dishes were delivered. Sushi was average compared to their excellent fish. We all agreed to order fish next time. This was the first time after many visits the service was lacking.
Highly recommend for oysters, fish, and cocktail.
Very impressed with the level of service we received here from the hostess to the waiter to the management. Food was great and the Wednesday night special gives you a huge bang for your buck. Lived up to my expectations of a Bohlsen group Restaurant. Also Definitely for the seafood lover which is why I chose it. The only down side was that my husband and I were sat inconveniently between a very loud group of gentlemen on one side and a loud group of women on the other, making our date night challenging as we could barely hear each other speak over the two groups.
When we arrived the resturant was empty so there was no reason to wait 20 minutes for a beer and 45 minutes between out salid and our food. When I cut into my steak it was very rare. Now one came by to see if everything came out ok. After waiting I ate it. At this point we were there for more than 1 1/2 hours. When I finished the steak the manager finally showed up and asked how was everything. For the past few years they can't seem to get there act together. We used to eat here weekly and now yearly.
Go there every year for my husbands birthday and they never disappoint. The food is always excellent on either the sushi or regular menu. Service is always very attentive and friendly! Love how they came out with a personal birthday cake and gift card for my hubby's special day as they do every visit!
Food was delicious. We had appetizers, salad and then an entree. Service was awesome. Steven was our server and he was great. Loved his recommendations and he didn't rush us. Always checking to see if we needed drinks. We will definitely be going back for dinner.
Appetizers were very good. My major complaint was that the steamed 2 lb. lobster seemed overpriced at $50 per pound. It appeared closer to 1 1/2 lb than 2 lbs and no side dish was included. I had to pay an extra $6 for french fries. Moreover, the lobster meat on this occasions was dry, soft, and tasteless. It made me wonder if it was alive when it was steamed or if it was a recent shedder.
Normally i would give all 5 stars....but service was a little off the first 20 minutes we were there. And the food is always delicious. My husband and son got the tuna sushi but they did not realize its was deep fried. The menu did say fried but they thought it was the crust, so a little disappointed sushi w cooked tuna. - we do go here a few times
Its always hit or miss with his place - tonight it was a miss, 1 hour before food showed up - our entire bottle of wine was gone before the salad showed up and the 2 lousy rolls didn’t suffice.
Don’t understand what the problem it, adequately staffed but nothing coming out of the kitchen in any type of timely fashion.
$250 for dinner for two, I would have rather gone to Paces steak house for that kind of money
Waiters were friendly, but service was lacking. At least two of our side dishes were forgotten. Lobsters were very small, not 2 lbs and up as they claimed on the menu. They did try to accommodate all the guests including children which we appreciated. Overall, for the price, things could have been handled a little better.
