H2 Rotisserie & Bar Ratings and Reviews
We we’re there for New Year’s Eve buffet and it was below expectations. We came in at 9:30 and everything was just stale. They should have replenish the stations for people with late reservations. Taste was not that great either. The snow crab was too salty, duck was dry and desiccated . Gotta try the regular menu and see if it’s any better. But I probably won’t do the buffet again. Not worth 95 dollars.
We went there for their NYE special buffet dinner. It was one of the best buffet food I've had in Vancouver, with a lot of selection and tons of seafood options, dessert station with chocolate fondue, carving station serving Chicken or Prime Rib, Lamb chops, and so much more. They also had live music playing throughout, and the ambiance was fantastic. Now, two things I'd improve... their food stopped at 10:30 which isn't great for a NYE event, and not all staff knew the details of the NYE event (menu, when does it end, etc...).
Overall, I highly recommend this place for special occasions, it's a bit on the pricey side, but worth the money.
Considering it was new years eve, i was expecting food that was at least warm and edible. With the exception of the lamb, the buffet was not enticing. The sushi was toocold and stale and the chicken was cold along with the beef. The dessert was a highlight. Very dissapponted especially given it was new years eve and the buffet was almost $100 per person
Food was bland, ordered seafood chowder and French onion soup and they tasted off. Ordered the free range chicken and that was dry and bland. The only thing that was tasty was the crab cake. My husband and I came here for our 8yr anniversary and it was a dissapointment. For comfort food... we should’ve went to Burgoo instead.
Great food, service, and ambience, with the bonus of live music when we were there on a Saturday at lunchtime. The menu has a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. I loved and highly recommend the delicious Truffle Mushroom Burger, a vegetarian option that would please even non-vegetarians.
Slow service, nothing special about the food. They serve the chicken on wooden cutting boards and "newspaper" but the chicken is somewhat juicy so it saturates the paper making it fall apart and then u have to pick the paper off of your chicken, which is lacking in seasoning. They also seem more focus on room service meals (you see the bellmen getting the food on the rolling tables) that the restaurant tends to suffer and I think that's why it takes so long to get the mediocre food.
We were here for a birthday dinner. H2 has a very nice patio area with live band in the background. It gets quite chilly during the evening so either bring or jacket or ask for a blanket to keep warm. It was quite cold for me even with a blanket but I didn't want to ask to switch table as we already had appies then. We had rotisserie chicken and other light dishes with a salad. The chicken could be better as they claim to be a rotisserie restaurant. Chicken was cold unfortunately... Seems like it was better off to do hald the chicken instead of whole. We didnt get dessert there but they looked amazing. I heard people got birthday cake on the house. We didnt for ours so if you go there for birthday or anniversary I would say dont rely on it if you are looking to get one. With that said we would come back for dessert for sure. Overall the experience could be better.
The food was amazing and the service was fantastic! We chose to dine outdoors and it was a wonderful atmosphere, with live music, fire for more light, cozy table sizes, and best of all the harbour right next door. I can't wait to visit again! I'd definitely recommend it. (I'd also recommend making a reservation for weekend evening dinning.) Definitely a must try if you are in the area.
Waiting for the servers more than 10 minutes after sat down. They are not busy on that day but don't know why no servers come to us. Finally, we walk to the counter and get a server. We ordered a Rotisserie Chicken. The chicken meat is dry and tasteless. The breads are so hard, not even to have a bite. Also, the drinks only come when we remind the server by the time our food almost half way done. That means the drinks sitting on the bar counter for quite a long time. With such bad experience, we won't recommend to our family & friends.
Great spot. Food is quite good. Too bad the service isn't what it should be in a good hotel. Everyone was nice and seemed to be trying but there aren't enough servers to do the job smoothly. (We ate outside. One simple help would be to put a service station somewhere outside) I'd give it another shot though.
We went over town for a new experience for my son's birthday. Our first drinks order took some time but that was fine. We ordered our food which came relatively quickly so we had little time to balance having a cocktail then wine. My son's food came without vegetables .. the steak was overdone and to top it all the waiter did not appear so that we could order some wine. Finally just before finishing our meal the vegetables arrived .. only because we had asked where they were. The maitre de came to apologise and if we would like a glass of wine on the house which we declined. A huge disappointment for the family. Will not go again.
Overall a very nice restaurant, lacked a bit of Ambiance inside but did have a very nice outdoor area. Service was a little slow at the beginning but soon became very attentive, professional and friendly!
Good food - nice section of dishes - sample the crab cake, poutin, rotisserie chicken and the best chicken wings I have ever eaten!! I will literally be back for the Wings!
Also a broad selection of local craft beers and ciders along with a nice selection of wine and spirits.
our server Cam was very friendly but pretty slow and didn't even bother the clean the table after meal and left food that was on the table with our dessert. talk about dessert.... we waited for 20 mins and we have to keep add the money for our street parking.... not very impressive....
