The barrel aged Manhattan and Margarita were outstanding. The filet was one of the best I have ever had and my wife's blackened salmon was also top notch. Music was perfect for the ambiance.
Great place to go in downtown Canton.
We were personally greeted when we arrived by the owner, Patrick then gave our guests a personal tour of the bourbon/ wine bar. Service like we received is never found at the chain Restersunt’s.
Thank you for a great meal and a great evening! We will be back soon!
Nice quiet place, friendly, excellent service and food
Everything was wonderful. The food was top notch and the service was outstanding.
this place will never disappoint. everything I have had here has been delicious, but what i had this time was exceptional. the braised short ribs risotto was out of this world. so much flavor, perfectly cooked risotta. my only complaint is i wanted more! we also had a cheese tray and the grilled avocado salad and both were excellent. this is a great place for a date night. the wine selection is awesome. the servers are attentive without being overbearing. this is definitely one of my favorite places to go.
Hidden gem! We very much enjoyed our dinner and the atmosphere.
The food was good but overpriced. We didn't recognize many of the wines and the server was not that knowledgeable on what we liked. Luckily I guessed on a decent wine. I am a whisky drinker and their whiskys were not as extensive as advertised. Overall it was a good experience to try.
Great food, staff and environment. 10 stars
I have already recommended H2 Huth & Harris Wine Merchants to several people in our office.
My two guests each had the catch of the day --Walleye with Lobster sauce-- and I had the duck. The food, the presentation and the staff were all excellent.
Even the manager took time to speak with us after we were finished and told us some history of the location and about their companion restaurant in Medina
I hope more people in Stark County visit this hidden gem.
We really enjoyed our dinner and our chat with the owners in the bar later on. Their barrel aged bourbon and tequila brought a new level of complexity to my Manhattan and the margarita sample they shared with us. They have their own wine as well. This place is a gem!
Absolutely wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back!!
Quiet. Personal attention. Very good food.
The food just blows us away every time! It is amazing and always consistent, which is why it is always on our go to list of restaurants!
Date night at H2! Our first visit to H2 Huth and Harris exceeded expectations. The menu is not large, but the dishes are thoughtful and there is something for everyone. The wine selection is superb and we were happy that H2 offers wine flights - there's a lot to try!
The server was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
All around, our date night at H2 was great. We will be back soon!
Our server was very pleasant but didn't do the greatest job. After our salad and appetizer came out he said he'd be back with bread. Never got bread. Near the end of our meal he took our empty water bottle and said he'd be back with more. Never got water. Next to us was a party of ten or twelve - their server checked with us at least twice to see if we needed anything. He also seemed to be doing a very good job handling that raucous party.
Great prices on wine, charcuterie and scallops were fantastic. Duck was okay. We will be back.
In town from Philadelphia, found it on Open Table
Very good overall!
This was our second time to dine here. We were greeted promptly and politely by the hostess. There was only one other party of 6 when we were seated. Seemed a little unusual for 8:00 on a Saturday evening. We were undecided on an appetizer and ordered the baked Brie as it was recommended by our server. He was correct; it was delicious. We split a grilled romaine salad which was very tasty. Our small plate choices were delicious; pork shoulder confit flatbread and pan seared diver scallops. The only downside to the evening was toward the end of our dinner our server was slightly missing. He did bring desert menus but did not return very soon. Another server overheard me mention that I wanted the French press and quickly served it. Our server retuned after that and took out desert order which was delivered in a timely manner. After finishing, we waited some time but our sever did not return. It seemed there was a loud discussion among the servers taking place in the bar room as I retuned from using the rest room. We waited some time, but our server did not return. I eventually walked back to the kitchen to request our check. I believe it was the chef, who was cleaning up, that I approached, and he did not seem happy. I am giving a four star rating overall for our experience this time solely fir the reason that I had to request the check. Otherwise the meal and our evening at H2 was wonderful.
Excellent dinner experience. We had heard that this establishment had re-opened in the old Peter Scherer's location. Canton needs all of the fine dining establishments itcan support so we wanted to try it out.
They have an excellent wine selection and craft beers and cocktails. We normally order wine but my wife got a cocktail and I tried a wine flight. When you walk down the stairs to the entry you enter into a room with wine bottles are arranged on the shelves. They sell wine at reasonable, retail prices and charge seven dollars corkage, Which is very reasonable.
We had an excellent charcuterie plate and shared a delicious short rib risotto. Our main entrées consisted of lamb shank for my wife and I enjoyed a prime, New York strip. All of their food is made from scratch and it was very good.
It is encouraging to see a new restaurant in downtown Canton. We plan to return soon with friends.
This is some of the best food in Canton. I had the Lamb which was so tender and dripping off the bone. My wife got the duck which had the crispiest skin and the best flavor. I will start recommending this place to everyone I know. If you're looking to try a new place in Canton then go here.
Good food and service but not for a birthday. Zero interest in any kind of recognition. Glass of wine? Dessert? No chance. Owners have bar under surveillance. Very disappointing. Not likely to return. Not surprised they were empty on a Friday night. Not recommended unless you can walk there.
I can’t believe this place isn’t wall to wall packed! What a gem of a restaurant! The food was delicious, the decor was beautiful! A little pricey but it’s totally worth it. I will absolutely be dining here again, and highly recommend for a date or a group dinner.
Food was very pricey but tasty!! Unfortunately, they charge a wine corking fee of $7.50 per bottle and then don’t even open the bottle table side. Ridiculously overcharged. Our bill for a table of 5 was over $350. Be mindful of your wallet if dining here.
In general we thought the restaurant was very good and will frequent again soon. We had the filet and the fish special and both were prepared very well. The grilled romaine salad was very good but slightly over dressed so I would make sure the next time I asked that it be prepared with light dressing. The service was good. The wine selection was good and moderately priced. We hope they continue to do well because Canton needs more fine dining.
A hidden gem tucked away in downtown Canton. Great atmosphere! I had the duck which was cooked slightly pink with the skin crisp and golden, just the way I like it. My wife had the dual filet of beef. Cooked to perfection, medium rare, and the rye whiskey emulsion was mouth watering. One of the highlights of our visit was the wine value. Bottles where priced close to, if not, at retail, a real bargain. There is a small corking fee but given the pricing for a bottle of wine well worth it. It was our first dining experience here but certainly not our last. Give it a try you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Great atmosphere, food and ambiance. Our first time and the food and staff were great. Love the old brick and seeing the pictures from the past.
I absolutely was impressed by this restaurant! The filet I had was the best I have had in the area! Melt in your mouth! Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. We experienced all from drinks to dessert. It was not a frugal date. And I did not expect it to be. I was very satisfied with the service, quality, and ambiance for what I paid! I’ve been telling everyone about it!
Great place for a meal and conversation. Highly recommend for any event.
This is a gem of a restaurant. I was in town on business and took a shot at this place and was not disappointed. The basement setting had a great vibe to it and the ability to chose my wine at retail prices and pay a minimal corking fee was great. The Duck, Lamb shank and Filet were all outstanding adding to the success of the meal.
If you’re in the Canton, Ohio area, make plans to visit this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
Excellent food and service. Such a gem of a restaurant. Fresh homemade ingredients. We will be back very soon!
Our Private after hour party for 80 people was for my husband’s retirement celebration and it was perfect! Appetizers and drinks for all! Our out of town guests had never been here and loved the Speakeasy atmosphere- so fun and unique. The owners personalized this celebration - it could not have been any better, and it was the perfect ending to a day of celebration. Thank you and your excellent staff for making this once in a lifetime occasion so special!
It’s good to find a new place in Canton that has good food and wine list. Will definitely go again.
What an awesome spot in Downtown Canton. Great food selection. Wine list and whiskey list were incredible.
We here on our anniversary.
We will be back.
I have dined here 3 times. The tapas are terrific. Highlights were the flatbread option and Brie with peppered jam. Scallops were also excellent. The main dish I had was perch that tasted fine and was well prepared but could of used more sauce on the plate. Others had the shrimp dish and loved it. Good wine selection. Service was nice but not attentive or very knowledgeable about the menu. One diner asked about a dish and the waiter just grabbed a menu and read it to us. We can read. Must leave a lot of time to dine here as we were their for 21/2 hours. Busy bar scene.
Party of 4 for friends night out. Terrific meal in a very interesting, stone walled, historic building. Twin fillets meal was excellent with a creative blending of sauce and accompaniments. Cornish hen and shrimp dishes also received rave reviews. Great wine pricing and selection. I highly recommend this restaurant for a high quality dining treat. Enjoy!
Salad, scallops & pasta were original conceived, cooked perfectly, & tasted wonderful. Portions aren't large but are enough.
Loved our evening at H2! It was nice dining downtown and will certainly dine there again. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The food was served in a timely manner and was very delicious! Wishing H2 much success!
The portion size was just right. If you are looking for a super sized meal go to a fast food restaurant.
Prices were average for a fine dining establishment. Not over priced. Friendly service.
Like Canada and Europe you pay for the meal at you table. No one walks away with your card for 20 minutes.
I will definitely return.
H2 couples high quality food with a great wine and bourbon selection. A great place and we've taken other couples and always had a great experience.
Food, ambiance, & especially the service was outstanding. Scallops are better than we've had anywhere. Cocktails are imaginative (redrum.)
