Great service 🤙🏼 Good food. And loved the music ❤️ Will be back with the fam
Absolutely terrible music, extremely loud hardcore gangster rap with inappropriate language does not make a good restaurant setting. The food was good, and the waitress was nice, but the music ruined a good evening out.
Grill ventilation is excellent, almost smoke less. That’s the only thing nice about the environment. Tables and chairs are not well maintained or cleaned, utensils are old. Space is so small you can grab next tables’ foods, or give them a physical kiss! Pricing is expensive, always need watch your orders become stressful. Crowds. Make reservations early, avoid editing reservation that will definitely delay your party.
We got there and it took ten minutes to seat us even though the restaurant was mostly empty. Then we got ignored. For fifteen minutes, no one came to see us, to take drink orders, to acknowledge that we were there at all. I had to go up to the front to see if we had a server. I don't know ow whether we just didn't have one for our section or what was going on but eventually we got someone. We put our whole order in at once because we were afraid we'd never see anyone again. I legitimately cannot understand why everything moved asalowly ad it did. You don't have to cook my food, so why did it take over an hour to bring a plate of meat???
delay to sit at the table, delay to be attended, forgot several times what we asked, very hot place
Service was poor at best. Server could not get our order right and we had to frequently ask for status on items. Exceptionally slow - took about 30 minutes before our order was taken and another 30 before we received our first round of food. Possibly understaffed that evening but didn’t appear so.
We always go there with reservations, but still had to wait at least 10 mins to be seated, EVERY TIME!
Service is always great, but the food is the best! So happy to have found this gem with awesome Japanese meat. Love coming here.
We like to take the kids to Gya Kaku since they like putting the meats on the grill and flipping them over. We enjoy the ambience and we generally visit the restaurant during special occasions only.
Great ambiance, food, and service. Excellent service (Steven) too!
Delicious food as always. We tried something different this time, the basil chicken which was just as good as the beef.
Fun to grill with family and friends
We got there 10 minutes early for our 8pm reservation but didn’t get seated until 8:50pm... hostess is the front ignored us and was rude. Host promised we’d get seated in 20 minutes and that he’d give us 2 burners.
When he tried seating us it was 50 minutes after our reservations and to a table with just one burner.
Manager was awesome... he fixed everything. Wish we got him involved before we waited 50 minutes.
We will be coming back because we love the food and experience. But we will ask for the manager at the start.
Service was super slow tonight, too more than a hour for meat dishes to be brought to our table. I think our waitress checked in 3 times out of the 2 hours we were there which is insufficient for me to feel satisfied. I hope it was just a one time bad experience.
Lunch specials are always a great value. Service is usually much quicker and more attentive as well.
Had to wait for 20min for the food to grill. Twice that happened. Didn't get some of the stuff we asked. Server was great, apologetic;not his fault kitchen was slow, I guess. We didn't get a "closing time" warning so we had to cut short our dinner. They full priced my 60+ guest. Then manager came and reprimand our server in front of us. That was the worst - we emphasized to him that he was great and not his fault totally- maybe a system fault. Otherwise food was great.
Everything was great, only thing I would’ve liked more was our waitress being more attentive
The food was excellent it took awhile for the server to bring out the appetizers but the food was excellent the only thing I did not like was I paid the bill with my credit card and left a $20.00 cash tip and when I checked my credit card transactions I noticed the server tipped himself another$20.00 on my credit card ... That was so shady and so wrong so basically he got a $40.00 tip to serve only 2 people. For that reason I'm not coming back and most definitely not recommending this place
This is one of my favorite eating spots and I am a regular, eating here weekly. I enjoy nearly everything on the menu.
It was quite pricy, but the food and service were awesome so not to complain much.
I still recommend this place to all my friends.
It was a great experience. Our waitress were very attentive although the kitchen were pretty backed up. we waited bout 25mins for our garlic rice to come out but she made sure to keep us updated and everything else we ordered were out in time! We will be returning again!
Nice place, good food, friendly staff
Nice food, place and ambiance. Afordable price, friendly staff and good service. Defenitetly recommend to all my friends.
Good food but slow service
It was our first time eating at this place. The food and service was awesome! The meat in the secret pot was on point. Our server,Kathleen, was amazing. She was very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable and checked on us several times throughout our meal.
Read some reviews online complaining about slow service. We did not experience any of that tonight. It was a pretty busy weekday but we didn't wait because we had a reservation. Our server, Naomi, was very friendly. She was quick with our orders and didn't forget a thing. The manager, Angelo, was excellent at checking on the customers and even checked on our table twice while he was busy helping clean up tables! We had 90 minutes to eat the "ultimate" all you can eat.
We ordered the edamame, green salad, spicy tuna volcano, fried calamari, fried pork dumplings, harami miso skirt steak, filet mignon, bistro hanger steak, yaki shabu beef miso, Toro beef, shrimp garlic, zucchini, sweet onion, corn, white rice, chicken garlic noodles, garlic fried rice, macaron ice cream, s'mores and vanilla ice cream.
It all taste delicious. We ate everything!!!
I’ve been to Gyu-Kaku plenty back home in Orlando and I always have a positive experience. Everything goes smoothly and everything is done timely. However our experience at this restaurant was much different. I went with a few friends for a get together. Being their first time, I made sure to make a reservation. We all arrived for our reservation on time. However it took a little over 5 minutes for someone to greet us and 10-15 minutes more past our reservation time to be seated. Once seated, we were not greeted by the server for another 5-10 minutes. There was a family seated next to us who was seated after our group that was greeted, had gotten their drinks, food and started eating before us. Once we finally ordered, we still were waiting on our appetizers to come first but meat was sent to our table before some of us even got our rice or dumplings. I never got my broccoli until all of my food was finished. All of the food was sent out out of order and I could not properly enjoy my meal. I could barely get our servers attention when we tried to get the rest of our food. I got to speak with a manager and they offered a 15% discount off of everyone’s bill which was nice but it does not change the overall experience... first impression is lasting and I do not think any of my friends want to come back despite how good the food is when the service was terrible. I love this place but I might just wait til I go back home if I ever wanna eat here again.
We had a 6:30pm reservation but had to wait 30mins for our table - not good with two hungry children. Service was slow, had to ask twice for water and chopsticks.
The food is good and it's a fun place to go, but they really need to improve their service.
Overall, it was a fun experience. The only thing that was a let down was there was an issue with our grill. We thought it wasn't that hot and the server didn't notice until the end of our dinner when a manager came to change the grill top. We were able to cook everything but our grill definitely wasn't firing as much as other tables. The manager poured water into it and it came back to life but unfortunately we were already done with our food. Then, we never got our grill top replaced so we cooked our s'mores on the open fire. We were also never given tongs to cook our meat - we used salad tongs from the salad we got and our server didn't touch the table enough for us to try to ask for another pair. In the end, the food was pretty good but those key issues really put a damper on the experience.
The place very nice. And the service is very friendly. Nice food.
Food is good ,but it is kind of noise
Great food, never disappointed. But always have to wait
Great place to get together with friends or businesses.
Our server was excellent! She was always there when we needed something or get our grill changed. Very attentive and nice. The food was good as was always. The only down side about our visit was that they took out the crunchy rice which the kids loved....
Slow service for AYCE. Forgot our drinks. But food was superb.
I love this place! It is so much fun and the staff is so friendly!
But don't come here with out a reservations! The wait can be up to two hours or more!
1st time we waited two hours. 2nd time I made a reservation and only waited 8 min.
Food is so yummy!
Usually here for lunch. Always order the "meat lovers set" and upgrade my plain rice to the bibimbap - which is delicious! Plenty of food and have never left hungry. Would highly recommend reservations for any day of the week as it is very popular and wait times can be very long.
It was good in general. There signature prime rib is a little disappointing, other meat are good.
