Food was great but the place is like horror house the curtains are drifting. And I have to ask 3x for the take out box

it was great experience and our server was very attentive.

We waited for approximately 30 minutes from reservation time, but once we were seated everything was smooth sailing.

Pleasant place for a good supper. But, ONE BIG, negative is the music - tooooo loud and everyone has to shout to talk. This in not a new problem for this place.

If you like Japanese BBQ, Gyu-Kaku is one of the best places. I'll recommend it to my friends.

This visit was the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant. We had to wait 15mins at the host stand for someone to come and help us. Our reservation was for 8:15 and our table was not ready till 8:50. Once we sat down they rushed us to order telling us it’s last call. The servers were not attentive throughout. The restaurant closes at 10:30 and we we were rushed to eat and pay our bill by 10:00.

reservation at 7:45. we stood in the front until 8:20 finally seated. multiple tables were available. they just disregard ppl waiting in the lobby it seemed. there was a huge line up

We had a 2021 Dine out dinner. Service was excellent and the food was delicious.

Friendly and attentive staff which I always appreciate. They were very helpful when we needed grill changes and were on top of our orders.

Due to pandemic, the restaurant is not too crowded. Better book using Open Table in advance.

Even with reservations, I found myself waiting about 10 minutes before anyone greeted us at the door. Once inside, service was slow but the staff are all nice. I get the feeling they are either understaffed or the operations can be more efficient.

We ordered chef set for 2. We love the stone rice and beef. It’s a bit weird with 2 kinds of salad. Better to have more lettuce to wrap with meat than two kinds of salad. Overall is good

Food was delicious. First time I have been to Gyu-Kaku and I would 100 percent recommend it.

We went for the first time, had reservations for 8:30 am, and they let us know after they seated us, that last call is for 8:45 am. Given that we’d never been before - this was a bit of a turn off, as we didn’t know what their menu had or how ordering worked. It definitely felt rushed for sure, and I don’t think taking reservations that late is worth it.

food was good as usual. sat in a corner booth, and only about 1/3 of the grill actually had enough heat to cook. took us much longer than necessary to get through what we ordered, and in the end i was still hungry but we did not have time to order more food. server and managers were not very helpful, and we just got a sorry for your inconvenience apology. I'll still go again, but the service was definitely sub par compared to the other times I've been.

Need to have a checklist when ordering set menu to avoid missing some of dishes included. Received a complimentary desserts due to the incident.

Tasty Gyu in Richmond that is still running with lower occupancy due to Covid. Took a while to get our food out, but was good once we got going.
