Gyu-Kaku - Rancho Cucamonga Ratings and Reviews
I had a great experience at Gyu Kaku. I was seated within 2 minutes of my reservation time even though the place was packed for Valentine’s Day. The food was outstanding and the service was quick and excellent; I never had to ask for a refill or for an empty plate to be taken. Overall, I had a very nice and fun Valentine’s Day dinner.
great service for how busy it was. fresh food. served in a timely manner. ended up picking this place for our 2nd valentines together. was the perfect choice. their supreme ayce menu was $52 but had a wide selection. from appetizers to meats and even ayce dessert which was amazing.
On the open table app I selected “birthday” and when I was there it also let the hostess know we were there to celebrate a birthday. Food came and went but it seemed hurried because they were taking plates before we were done. Check came I paid and we waited. No one came by to acknowledge the birthday. Waited 10 - 15 mins. We got up and left. On my way out I let the hostess know that no one came.
They later call me and ask if I was around so they could give me 20 off my next meal. I shopped and stopped by before I left the mall. It was not about the money. I choose not to accept the $20. She apologize and I said thank you. Just let her know that it was just very disappointing . Not sure when I will be back..
Food is always good, service was great, except our meal supposed to come with miso soup but machine was not working, so they couldn't give us soup.the waiter was keep asking the if we still want the soup which I can definitely tell he wanted us to say no thanks. But my son actually waited till end of the meal to see if their machine got fixed. But by the time they got it fixed, we were already paying the bill. It would be nice if they would replaced that with even with one desert. It was three of us.
The meat was tender, juicy and delicious! Good meat due to 21-days of aging. Ambiance was great, music not too loud. Great ventilation where restaurant does not smell or look smoky at all. The flip side is the pricing. Low is premium ($32 for AYCE) then ultimate is $42, and supreme is $57. The meat quality is superb. Service can be a bit slow even though there is a 90 min time allowance, which limits your time if you are on a date and and to chit chat.
Went there for holiday gathering with family and friends. Great service, great food, all you can eat menu for a fair price. Some of the meat was marinated, and oh so good! I like that we grilled our own food, because we can control how we wanted the food cooked. The veggies were also very delicious! They come marinated and wrapped in foil for easy cooking. Dessert was Smores and/or ice cream. We had both.
This was our first visit there (party of 6) and I have to say the menu is a little overwhelming because I knew very little about it and the way food is brought to the table. Because I knew little about the menu, when the food was brought to the table I was a little frustrated because I was new and didn't quite know the names of everything everyone ordered. The waitress was very prompt and nice, I just wished she was a little slower and helped with what each of us ordered a little more. Other than being a rookie and a little confused about the food coming out, the overall experience was fun and the food was simply amazing.
Reservations help cut down wait time during busy times (weekends). Meat always tastes fresh and great seasoning. This time around though, the rice was slightly undercooked. Servers and wait staff did their best with the crowds but it might help if they hired more or had more staff for weekends.
Upon arrival we were told we didn't have reservations even after showing the confirmation. During dinner a waitress and waiter bumbed into each other and dropped sauces and it go all over my boyfriend. Instead of apologise they walked away. A min later they came back and offered to give him beer. Soon after that everyone kept checking on us. The waitress tried playing with our son to makeup for what they did. We finished eating and left right away. Not sure if we will be returning after that.
