Unfortunately, we went when the AC was broke and with no circulation and the heat of the “grill”, it made it tough to enjoy. We ended up doing our best to just cook as fast as we could and ate most at home.

The service was good. I’m Korean, so I’m used to grilling my own BBQ but the grills were of poor quality. Only half of the grill has any fire or heat. Apparently they had just switched management. I hope the restaurant is off to better days.

Food and variety was great, atmosphere was fun and lively. and service was awesome! Vivian catered to our every need, and even had the whole gang sing happy birthday to my daughter! What a great night and can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu, especially the desserts. Only things missing were a liquor bar (no BYOB, although they said they're working on the liquor license), later hours, and karaoke :)

This restaurant has declined in service, professionalism and ambiance. My friend and I had long gaps in service over a dinner that ended up taking 2 1/2 hours to eat. Something is going on with the liquor license so no alcoholic drinks were available. As an alternative to a cocktail, I ordered a bottle of Pellegrino water which arrived warm to the touch - instantly melting all the ice in the glass. The entrance is cluttered where the bar used to be, the whole place seemed unkept.

Dinner started off a little rough as our grill wasn’t working properly, but both our server, Vivian, and the manager worked very hard to get us to a new table and even gave us a discount for the troubles! We will definitely eat here again. We thank the staff for working so hard through the equipment issues :)

I’ve been to the one in Orlando and it was an event. All you can eat, over the top, alcohol.. the whole 9 yards. We showed up to a mostly closed restaurant with strange exposed work areas and ushered to our seat. The server was super nice and explained that the menu would be a la cart and that there was no alcohol available. Wished I had chosen another restaurant but good luck to them in the future when they can run properly again. Also.. the food added up and the flavors were so so

Gyu-Kaku is always a great time for me and my brothers when they visit. Yesterday was a EH experience. Apparently they have just gone through an owner change so I don’t know if it was because of that? But corn was tough. Our favorite spicy bibimbap was dry and didn’t even come in the bowl it usually served in with the egg mixed in. Meat was spot on but our grill was only working on half the side. Our server mentioned they’re getting new grills too. Hopefully this new ownership brings back the Gyu-Kaku I love!

Sadly it’s not what it used to be. We’ve come for years and today was a stark difference from all of our previous experiences. The host and waitress were very nice, but check ins were limited and it took a while to get our check at the end. The food itself was slow to come out. The signature beef sukiyaki rice did not come in a sizzling stone bowl, rather just on those plastic plates. The bistro hanger steak is cut much differently than from before because it’s very thin now. There’s also a limit to one pair of tongs per table when before, there was a pair per plate. There’s no longer any lunch specials; only the a la carte menu is available during the weekdays as well. It was still a decent enough experience, but all of those nice touches from before are gone.

Felt unclean . Ventilation for the smoke was not working ; very hazy and Smokey inside; quality of meat not good ; they are highly disorganized for a place where you cook your own food ! They need to know how to prep the day before !! Service was slow as if one person were cooking and waiting on the tables! Really bad organization and service . I’ve been to much better ones . They apologized for so many things not working however If they’re not ready to be open then they shouldn’t open yet .

Food and experience was awesome, but we had a table with a bad grill. The waitress tried everything to help and called management. Management came over not apologizing and told the waitress to move us without even acknowledging us. She was extremely rude. We were told the restaurant is about to have new owners. Hopefully new management also.

The smoke from the grills filled the room and bothered my allergies terribly. Also the food cooked too fast without the oil on the grill plate our waiter didn’t come to check we had to turn the fire settings ourselves which they usually do. The portions of beef in the rice has gotten smaller than I’m used to. This is our favorite place to have our get together but we were not satisfied this time.

Was on a dinner date and we ordered our drinks. Within the first 5 minutes, Mickey Mouse and friends showed up on the rail on the window. We were so disgusted, because the mouse stopped at our table. Of course the waiter took half off our bill, but wasn't enough. We moved our seating, but due to our friendly surprise, we left. I would never GO TO THAT GYU-KAKYU ever again.
