Always excellent.

The food was cold and he didn’t seem to care just looked at me so he could walk away. I had to insist on him bringing another rice that was actually hot and took forever. After that he never came back to follow up I had to keep asking another waiter for a refill of water. It was just overall bad service and food. I’ve been to the brea location and Rancho Cucamonga much better. I will never come back here.

Good service, great food and drinks. I do recommend they get high chairs for babies

I'm a Gyu Kaku regular and this was one of the best times we had. Every time has been pretty good, but today our server Adam was exceptional. Literally everything was done to perfection, all the way down to our waters were never low.

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try new meats. Everyone loved the Kobe steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, drinks were affordable

Amazing date night and the deals they had for dine LA was so yummy!

Our lack of knowledge combined with our server's failures led to smoke billowing out at us, some over cooked, i.e. charred, food and a generally poor experience. Half way through cooking our meats, the young woman who had seated us noticed that the extractor fan was not able to keep up and promptly changed and oiled the grill which was a huge improvement. Our server was around all the time and it shouldn't have waited until we had ruined more than half our food to correct what, to another employee, was apparently on obvious problem. Our server also failed to bring the drinks we had ordered.

My entire family loves this restaurant chain & the Pasadena location did not disappoint. As all the other locations, our server was WONDERFUL--so attentive, sweet, and fast. Although this is the largest of the chain we have tried, their table dividers really help to make it quieter and private. (The downside is finding parking--so we sprang for valet.) It is so popular that you need reservations--and you'll be cancelled if more than 15 minutes late. Although it is a table BBQ restaurant, do not miss their divine salads. We also like their gyoza & spring rolls. Be aware that when a dish is labelled "spicy" it's more than just a little spicy.

Even though I did not get the best service on Monday, I will still recommend this place because the food is delicious. The waiter forgot different components of our order. I asked him was he too busy to which he replied "yes" Maybe the restaurant should book less folks? I ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and he placed it on the table without leaving ice or something to keep it cooled. I am not that picky but basic service is a part of the job. The hostess in front is very efficient and polite.

Still waited 45 minutes even with reservations with two hungry little kids. When I asked how much longer the wait will be, the only response was that they had large parties that went over their time. Doesn’t make sense
