Everything as good as usual. I enjoyed the lunch with my hubby.
Excellent experience as always. Service is always on time and on point
I was very disappointed with one of the employees at the front desk. I didn’t get home name but he was a younger gentleman with blonde hair. He has a snappy attitude that didn’t come off as professional.
We made reservations and we were seated within minutes of arriving. The kitchen was a bit backed up with the meat but everything else came really quick. Our waiters were very sweet and attentive even while she was training a future waiter.
I have been coming to GYU-KYAKU for 15 years now staring in japan. My wife is Japanese and this was our date. The food and service was horrible. The rice was hard, the meat quality wasn't fresh and, table dirty, bottles sticky our waitress was the worse!
Burbank is my favorite location , followed by Sherman Oaks.
I thought with the ambience Pasadena is commonly known for , this location would be simply the best!!! I was mistaken!!!
It was our anniversary. We’re still trying to figure out why there was a Bruno Mars playlist during our visit. We didn’t mind it but we’re just confused as to why Bruno Mars was playing the entire time there.
The food was great as well as the service. I highly recommend coming here to eat and cook your own food!
Love this place! Great Food and Service, the only thing I was bummed out about was the waiter said the restaurant ran out of brown rice. :p Other than that, everything else was amazing!
I am Vegetarian, ordered meatless ramen, got extra meat.
My overall experience was good, but I didn't like the fact that everyone at the table was forced to purchase an all you can eat meal because one person wanted that item.
It was a complete waist because two people in the party weren't that hungry abd was forced to buy an all you can eat meal. I've visited that restaurant several times over the past few years and was disappointed with the policy. I won't be going back.
Overall very good restaurant and theme. The all you can eat supreme option is the way to go as it make every item in the menu available though I doubt anyone can actually try all the items on it. Great place to have a good time with hungry friends.
Amazing food and service was great too
I try lunch special this time . Value meal only 8.95 four different meats and soup, rice and salad . Me and my husband are very happy
Food was frozen, our waiter was not as attentive and slow.
I love the food but it’s a bit pricey. I know it’s a Japanese restaurant but I hate having to use chopsticks and they never have clean forks. This is the third visit that I request a fork and they don’t have any clean forks.
My husband love this restaurant and he work close by. Food are great as usual and St. Patrick’s Day kid’s meal and beer are half off. We all have a good time there.
Made a reservation at 9, somehow people who came after us were seated first. They told us they’re running behind schedule and sat us 15 minutes after our reserved time. I’ve also noticed the meat is cut thinner on weekends and this time there were only 3-4 tiny strips of meat in each plate that were definitely not worth $10-11 a plate. We also ordered garlic noodles and it didn’t come out until 10 minutes after we finished eating which was about 45 minutes after we ordered. This place isn’t worth the wait or money to me anymore. I doubt I’ll be coming back. Ridiculous.
Great happy hour price. Food is extremely salty
I get the service works as a group but it took a very long time for someone to take our order. Servers wouldn’t even walk by our table and it took forever to get someone’s attention. We had to go up to the servers at the computers to take our order. Melissa was a great help though and we made sure to let her know she was awesome 👍🏿
Overall a “meh” experience. I’ll likely go back at some point. We we’re a group of 5 and we had to use one small grill. Very inconvenient and took a long time to get through our meal because of this. Also, it was a packed house but service at times was a little choppy. I’m sure the service isnt always at this level but took time to get things accomplished
Busy night. Messed up our order several times but they were apologetic and accommodating
Gyu Kaku has always been one of my favorites! I made a reservation as usual, it’s definitely recommended & less of a hassle. Just don’t be late! Our Server was great. I know it was busy and we ordered plenty of food. We didn’t feel rushed with the 90 min limit for all you can eat PREMIUM menu. I think the meat selection is great for that price and even includes the s’mores and macaroon ice cream. Sometimes the macaroons can stale or overly frozen but at least give them a try. My favorites are the Spicy Tina Roll, Duck Breast, Bacon Wrapped Scallops, any of the pork belly, & the beef selection. I’m a big foodie and I approve of this restaurant. Thank you!
It is always a good spot to get there lunch special . Really good value compare to their all you can eat or a la carte .
It's a bit pricey with a large party, but not unreasonable. The menu could be better explained and the ordering for the all you can eat (90min) could be a lot better.
Recommend reservations regardless of day so you have your spot for sure. Fills up pretty fast. Not a bad experience though a bit lackluster on the taste for me as far as authentic goes. My party highly enjoyed it so... take it with a grain of salt.
Always a joy to have a date night in that type of scenery.
I love Gyu Kaku and recommend all everyone I know to come here to try it at least once. The service is always wonderful, the food is amazing, the space is not cramped, and everything is cozy. Their miso yaki shabu is an all time favorite that I order multiples of every single time.
Abby was great! She was very helpful and made sure we were doing great. Thank you so much!
We are celebrating my hubby’s birthday with my kids and his best friend. Food are great as service.
Phoebe is a delight as a waitress. Knowledgeable and friendly which makes the gyu experience that much better.
Server is very friendly, but we wish the service would have been faster. We almost fell asleep!
It has great food and I love it for my 1st time
Came at 6pm on a Wednesday and the was not too busy, had great service. Got to order some food off the happy hour menu.
Had their February 4th $25 one day all-you-can-eat special (25 items), great value and quality. What a brilliant idea to celebrate Super Ball!
Went during the ayce special. Lots of food for just $25 per person. Also got a couple of pitchers of beer for happy hour pricing. Will be back!
Gyu-Kaku never fails to deliver top notch quality food and service. It did take a while to get a table since it was lunch hour on a weekend, but it was still within a decent time frame.
some of the meats came frozen and stuck together and partially un-marinaded.
also during the last 20-30 min of the "all you can eat" 90 min period the service become suspiciously slower.
Always a good experience... My daughters 12th birthday request for dinner... My kids love this place... Food it good and sharing makes it a great experience
Extensive variety of marinated meats and side dishes to grill and enjoy at your table
Food was great but I wasn’t crazy about the service. The server took our order then disappeared. Luckily I was able to get another server to help us.
Waiter thought he could sneak in an extra $48 of charges for items we did not order...
