I don’t understand why a Japanese BBq with an intimate ambience play so loud reguetton music. Nothing against latin music it’s just not right, even my kiddos commented... why not a single asian people as well... place was dirty, server no professionalism at all, food was good but overall experience was bad.
Amazing food the service was very good and the quality of the meats are very good overall there restaurant is a nice top class restaurant
Food was good, Service was terrible even for Miami.
Booth was dingy and old had a drip from the ceiling.
Great food. Fun experience.
Too long wait time but Manager Jesus gave us a discount for the 40m wait (while having a reservation).
Since COVID here are a couple things i noticed: Prices increased (understandable), they havent really adjusted their happy hour due to the decreased hours. Also food portions are a lot smaller than before.
Love this restaurant could eat there every week if I could. Will be going again soon.
Amazing food and amazing service. They recommended the drinks and they were delicious !
Amazing food and quality!! Every meat just melted in your mouth. Make sure to save room for dessert and get the lady M cake! Can’t wait to go back 🥰
Celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday here. We went in a group and it was everyone’s first time there. We got the shareable/sampler they offer and everyone loooooooved it. Great, fast service, and a fun experience
The server woman took 40 mins to come check on us
I’m a Huge Gyu Kaku fan & supporter. My favorite location is PINCREST!!!!! I’ve been to New Orleans, DC, Chicago, & Atlanta. It’s absolutely amazing. I’m a Miami local & chef. I like to dine out a lot. I haven’t been to Gyu Kaku since quarantine. This was suppose to be an amazing experience. I’ve been to the PINCREST location over 30 times. I went to the Brickell location(close to my house) once a few years back & didn’t have the best experience. So I thought that was by accident. Friday’s dinner confirmed that this location is not up to par & im SAD. I had a reso for 8:15, arrived at 8:10, was told to wait outside(due to Covid 19 , which is good ). I’m very aware of open table I use the managerial one myself. When we were told to wait I noticed that we were next. We waited outside until 8:35 . Two other groups were sat before us. I went back in to talk to the man working the door he HONESTLY got an attitude. We were told to go back outside & wait , due to Covid 19 things were backed up. Just didn’t make any sense. I’m not a race card person but the way he treated me & my other African American guest(who is also a Executive Pastry Chef in Miami) was not the same as he treated the other guest. We waited outside longer, embarrassingly. We were the only people outside. A young lady came out looking for another group & realized they weren’t there then asked for us. We were finally seated. I honestly just wanted to enjoy the experience. The food was average. The waiter was distracted & not engaged. We still dined but I was SUPER DISAPPOINTED. I love love LOVE this chain. Everyone I encounter I point them in the restaurants direction. Why were we treated so bad? The restaurant also looks like it was just not well kept up. I don’t think I can ever go back to the brickell location. Or drive any business that way. I seriously am debating wether or not I should use my platform to express my feelings about the dining experience. It shouldn’t be like that. HONESTLY!
As a Brickell residence this is one of my favorite restaurants and it's very sad to know that the hostess at the restaurant "yeruksa" is extremely rude not just to myself but even made a mother that was pregnant with her two babies cry because she wouldn't seat them or even give him an explanation as to why. She on multiple occasions has treated people like they aren't worthy of being there. After talking to management I hope that the right training is given to her because she really needs it on customer service and respect. Otherwise our experience as always was great. Amazing food and love Happy Hour! Can't wait to come back.
It was my mom’s Birthday celebration, but we have been many times here 🥰🥰
This is our go-to in Miami. It's labeled as Japanese Barbecue - but if you like Korean Barbecue this is essentially the same thing. Salads and sides are out of this world - meats are all great. Very fun. Reasonably priced.
No hand sanitizer at all in the new stations they put around. No soap in the women’s bathroom in the one stall that was working. Waitress missing for most of the time, even saw another table getting frustrated that they couldn’t find her. But the food and drinks were great.
The place serve delicious food and the waiter Danny is very nice and offer a very professional services.
Love it here.Service is usually good I’ve only been 4 times. But would definitely recommend food is great. It gets a lil warm from the grill. I love it.
Extremely pleasant experience for the first dine in out of lockdown.
The new safety and hygiene procedures were visible and noted.
The manager and the staff members were attentive and accommodating.
Unfortunately (and no fault on the part of Gyu-Kaku) with the new normal in the world the ambiance was not as excellent as it normally is.
Bad service.. crowd was gross.. the girl behind us had her bare feet on her boyfriend’s lap sticking out in the isle and the server didn’t even say anything. Won’t be coming back to this location. The one in Pinecrest is a lot classier.
With everything going on everything seemed pretty organized and the same. Service was a little slow, maybe cause they have less staff since they are serving less people, but food and drinks were good as usual.
So the salad is something to be desired and rather large; however, the meat selection including marinades are beyond expectation. I would return for a date night.
Delicious food, very clean and pleasant environment.
i love this place but lately things have not been the same, servers tried to get me to east fast and pack up and go. I kept telling them to relax that i was there to enjoy my time then she would awkwardly walk away. The hostess was also very rude. Considering giving them another chance in the future. But definitely won't be the daily lunch spot anymore. Sucks i was so excited for the reopen and it was a failure.
It was the best time!! Our server Katherine was amazing and attentive! She made our evening worthwhile! She explained all kinds of meat to us.
The food was excellent. My daughter love the experience of cooking her own meat and the s'mores
We went to celebrate a birthday and as always, the food was amazing.
Super cute restaurant to go with friends or family. Loved the variety of items on the menu and sharing food style. Will definitely be returning at another time.
Hostess kindly accommodated our late party. They did ask several times if we were all there and I said yes each time. The table wasn’t very clean and when I went to the bathroom the floor was very dirty. Only one stall was open and there was no toilet paper or paper towels. Our server was very sweet. The experience was fun-cooking our own food made for a very interactive experience.
good food, nice staff, smelly clothes lol overall always a good experience!
My friend came from Orland and i had to take her to one of my favorite places ♥️
It’s great to have Gyu Kaku in the Brickell neighborhood! Service was fantastic. Food and ambiance excellent. My boyfriend cooks up our meal and nails it every time. Good choice for date night.
Unprofessional! We were waiting 15 min outside without anyone attending us. Later the manager arrived with my bad behavior. I do not recommend it at all.
The food and experience of cooking it in front of you was really good. However, the waitress was appalling and literally made us feel bad about ordering multiple rounds of food from her. She even asked us “Do you want anything else because last time you said no and then asked for more?” The manager had to apologize but even after that, the waitress was still abrasive. We had to ask for everything including water and chopsticks and she forgot over 1/4 of the things we ordered.
Great service. Would recommend
Great staff. The manager is amazing and on top of thing.
Great time with the family.
