Gyu-Kaku - Miami
Traditionally called Yakiniku, this Japanese barbecue spot is known for their delicious, fresh (never frozen), high-quality meats!
Enjoy an ice cold beer as you grill your own meat. Happy Hours offer the best deals on food and drinks, so be sure to wind down and get the night started right with us.
Everything was excellent. Would recommend this place to everyone
Muy bueno todo el arroz frito delicioso ensaladas frescas y crujientes las carnes muy buenas también volveremos sin duda
I love this place. The drinks are incredible, every single thing on the menu is amazing, and it’s fun.
It could have been a four star experience but the service was excruciatingly slow. My lychee lemonade drink came way after the appetizers and at the same time as the first course of meat (chicken and harami steak - the latter was my fave, perfectly marinated and juicy). When we ordered white rice after the first course, that came way after we got the third round of dishes (which included the sukiyaki bibimbap which was also delicious). The mushrooms (although sweet and fresh) were a bit difficult to cook - the foil had holes so the butter seeped right into the grill. Some of dishes were misses - the filet mignon was cut too thick and difficult to cook (either overcooked or really undercooked) and bland (I think it was supposed to be lightly salted and peppered).
I love Korean bbq I was so excited to hear there was a great place in miami! It was amazing experience, food was all great quality and price was amazing 70$ for two people for one of their Pre selected offerings was so much food we rolled out! You will get stinky but it’s well worth it!!!!!!
The food was great I have been to many gyu-Kaku locations, I had the worst service at the brickell location for my birthday, the server had the worst attitude for no particular reason, I was very disappointed especially since it was my birthday. Orlando location had the best service.
A great experience. Great flavor. Will definitely be back
Great place overall. Makes for a wonderful date or a night out with friends.
🤢🤢🤢THE WORST RESTAURANT IN MIAMI🤢🤢🤢
and that includes any McDonald's, I made a reservation 2 weeks before and the day that I went it was literally empty because it was a Tuesday (04/09) and it was pouring rain, I got there 15 minutes before my reservation and the hostess told us we had to wait because there were other reservations even though it was literally empty but we understood until some people came in with NO RESERVATION and she sat them down immediately, when she came back one of my friends talked to her and she told him that we had to wait (just like that and with a lot of attitude) then she just left and came back 5 minutes later and took us to our table, when we got there the table was disgusting it was dirty and sticky, besides that my 67 year old friend was uncomfortable so we asked the waiter if we could change tables so he went to ask the hostess, SURPRISE she said we couldn't because ALL the other tables were reserved so my friend asked him -when people make reservations do they pick the table from advance? and ofcourse the waiter said NO, I felt bad for him I could notice that he was embarrassed but that was what the hostess told him (his exact words) so ofcourse we left.
😡😡I DON'T RECOMEND THIS PLACE😡😡
specially when this is Miami where new and better restaurants open every day, for a similar option you can just go to a Benihana it has an amazing service and you get a personal chef that makes the food on your table
My first time experience with Gyu was amazingB ambience was inviting, food was delicious, and the service was outstanding. I went on happy hour Sunday and it was definitely worth the money.
Great food, great service, Love it!! I would recommend the restaurant to everyone.
The food was delicious! Had a very good experience.
Vibrant scene and yummy food. Great place for celebrations. What would help is if the staff recognized birthdays/anniversaries, but understand if that's not standard practice. I just sang HBD to my hubby while we roasted our marshmallows for our smores which was fun :)
This restaurant belongs to a chain and is fairly typical for a Japanese BBQ establishment. That being said, the food quality is always excellent and the prices during happy hour are an amazing deal. My only complaint would be about the employees. I've been here several times and the staff are always helpful but seem hurried, almost as if it's a bother to ask them for something. Not sure if that's just part of the experience or if I go on busy days.
Loved the experience
Food was amazing as well as the service
Food was great, concept was great. I was caught in a server shift change and second server was not great at all. To top it an 18% gratuity was added to the bill under a party of more than 6 but it was just two of us. I asked the server why and she told me because it was a holiday so I asked what holiday is there on March 29 she had no answer.
Its really good food, but nothing i would crave for every day
I will recommend another location in Pinecrest. There are free parking.
I've been to Gyu-Kaku in New York (different locations) and this location is not the same. The decor and set up was very similar. Initially seated us by the front window next to family with baby and stroller that was in the way. Area was not the cleanest. We were moved to a better booth. Our server was okay, in the beginning I felt she didn't come around enough but her check in increased towards the end of the meal. I found the Yakishabu a bit more fatty here. The presentation of the rice was underwhelming and it took at least 10 minutes for the last of 3 rice/noodles dishes to come out. I would recommend coming during Happy Hour, you get a lot of good food for reasonable prices. I would say locals should give it a try.

The service was better in the past
Andrew the server was great. Their poke nachos is delicious!!! I love this place.
Horrible service, waaaay too understaffed for the volume of guest.
Our server was horrible, he confused all dishes. The supervisor had to serve us
I loved it here. Great experience if you’re looking to try something new and different. The food was well seasoned, servers were graceful and very informative on the menu. But what made the experience very fun and fulfilling was the atmosphere.
VERY TIME AT THIS RESTAURANT. MY DAUGHTER TOLD ME ABOUT THIS RESTAURANT. I HAD TO TRY IT FOR MYSELF. RESTAURANT WAS VERY NICE. MADE RESERVATIONS BUT THEY COULD NOT FIND MY RESERVATIONS. FOOD WAS VERY GOOD BUT SERVICE WAS SLIGHTLY POOR. HAD TO KEEP CALLING WAITRESS OVER. SHE WOULD COME AND LEAVE AND FORGET TO COME BACK WITH THE ITEM THAT WE ASKED HER ABOUT IN THE BEGINNING.
Pretty crowded for Friday. Servers always bring the food from the kid’s side and I remind several times. Some of the food is very hot and I hope the manager can train server better about safety. Food is good as usual. Nice for family and enjoyed the dinner
My family and I love this restaurant! Great place ! Great ppl!
We had to wait a little bit for our table even with a reservation, but after sitting down, the service and THE FOOD was amazing!! Highly recommended!
Every time that I have to wait more then 10 minutes for the waiter to come and ask for my drinks at first I think the service is bad. But overall it was nice. I will return.
The food is very delicious. The shrimp is very fresh and good. Everything’s nice!
Excelent the food, the price and the experience. My son love to cook he’s food
This the the only place opentable booking doesn’t work. We waited for 1 hour even if we had a reservation.
The staff is incredible.
Not sure what was happening but I think our server had a bad day. We ordered four meat plates, three sides and rice. Two meat plates were served together with the three sides. I asked for the rice half an hour after receiving the meat to cook. Our third and fourth meat plates never showed up and our waitress asked if we were finished and wanted the check. I reminded her that we had not received two of our meat dishes. She apologized but another half hour passed before we got one dish then another 15 minutes for the next. We finally finished and were thinking about dessert when our waitress asked if we wanted the check. We said we would like to have dessert. In addition, we were given a special menu and I tried to order two things from the menu and was told they were not available. There were only a few things on that menu! We are fans of Gyukaku and have been to restaurants all over, which is a good thing because had this been our first time, we would never go back. But we are going to chalk it up to a bad day and try again some other time - but not in Miami!
Great food. Good service. Dirty bathroom.
Great service and food! Love it!
This is my second time here. Food is amazing. Experience is Great. I like the idea of having Happy Hour pricing where you get drinks half off. and food a few dollars off.
Very good place. will Come back
Good quality food, service was pretty smooth and swift on a Sunday afternoon
Very good BBQ and a fun place to take the family.
