We love Gyu-Kaku! I've been a fan and customer since the beginning and it seems like I always picked a place to live where there is a nearby Gyu-Kaku location. The Spicy Tuna Vulcano is absolutely my favorite appetizer and with the meat you can't go wrong.

Food is great, Staff is even better! Kyla was our server and she’s great and she was also really helpful with the menu. The manager Lester also made our experience even better! They sent us a Polaroid photo to keep. So happy to have a Gyu-Kaku close to me now.

I think OpenTable will get tired of my reviews of the Gyu Kaku! If I could dine here at least three days a week, I would be a very happy gal! As I probably have said recently, the portion size are amazing for me, the freshness of all ingredients is top-notch, and a service is always personable and professional! This is a great place for individuals, couples families, everyone. I understand they will have a rooftop Open soon… I can’t wait for that!

Very good service our server Paul and the general manager Dennis were very engaging and amazing. Dennis has an amazing great personality and he’s amazing. He made our meal enjoyable came and engaged with us. The food was great. The service was great and very good value.

Now in LIC too! They’ve got that familial care we’ve come to expect of the restaurant chain. Built upwards — 2nd & 3rd floors are the tables so it’s a bit less noisy than if all the tables were in the same space. The rooftop bar & bbq wasn’t open yet, but will be soon! We ordered our faves as we always do — Harami Skirt Steak, Prime Kalb Short Rib, Japanese Pork Sausages, Zucchini, and Beef Sukiyaki Bibimbap! For desert, it’s not on the menu, but we were even able to order the classic Lady M’s Matcha Mille-feuille Cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! We used to get that all the time at the Times Square location and I despite it not on the menu here I was pleasantly surprised to find they still keep some here for this exact sort of request!

As is typical, we had a wonderful late lunch at the LICF the Gyu Kaku! We were greeted cordially, and of course, we received their traditional greeting! For appetizers, we had seaweed soup, cheesy corn, and garlic, cabbage, both which were perfect for starting our barbecue adventure! We barbecued pork belly, ribeye, and Angus ribs, along with mixed vegetables, mushrooms, and of course, we ended our dining with s’mores! As a person who has food, allergies, I really appreciate the attention to detail the service and kitchen staff give to that concern. I highly recommend Gyu Kaku in general and LIC specifically!

Gyu never disappoints, I’ve been to Flushing, White Plains and Winter Garden FL — they are consistently amazing in both food quality and service. I love the new LIC location with its upcoming rooftop. Can’t wait to come back 🔥

it felt very commercial and robotic. there was no music or vibe set. the service was a little bit all over the place. you were either getting too much attention or none at all. I would go back once they get more established at this location
