Love this restaurant & food, but we sat for quite a while without a server checking on us or even bringing any water. After about 10-15 mins, a manager was doing rounds so I brought it up with him. He took our order on the spot, which was appreciated, but we should’ve had a server checking in on us, not us having to track someone down. After that, service was very good, like it had been in the past. Just that little hiccup upon arrival was a bit discouraging.

We enjoyed our visit at Gyukaku. We made reservations, which is highly recommended. We ordered the meat-lover selection and really enjoyed it. The salad and little sushi appetizer were delicious. We found everything to be adequately portioned for the two of us. A staff member changed our grill for us midway through, which was nice. Our server seemed to be not as experienced because we only saw her when she brought our food. We had to ask someone else to refill our water and no one came by to refill our sodas. That was disappointing, but not a deal breaker. We’ll be back. We recognize that we have to be very hungry so that we don’t waste any food. The food was delicious.

I had the pleasure of being served by Uzatron, and I must say—phenomenal doesn’t even begin to cover it. From the moment we were seated, Uzatron was attentive, professional, and incredibly detail-oriented. Every request was met with precision and a positive attitude. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensured everything was perfect throughout the meal, and made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. It’s rare to find service that truly stands out, but Uzatron absolutely delivered. Exceptional job!

We ordered the value course. The waiter was kind enough to substitute out one of the items. Had a great time talking and cooking the meat on the propane grill. So much fun. And the food tastes delicious.
