What a great place to spend a birthday dinner with family! I think it helped to have a reservation because they were very busy at 7 pm but we were seated right away, and our waitress was very nice. The food is always good there and we particularly enjoyed the Harami skirt steak with the miso marinade. On this visit we tried the hot butter corn in the skillet and the bacon chips, and both were a huge hit at the table!

Ky was our waiter and he was extremely attentive and patient with us. We come often so it’s been nice getting to know the staff. I recommend the green tea ice cream. Again major props to Ky, he was awesome.

Ordered A la carte and Chef’s choice course menu. Food was ok but serving sizes in the Course menu are really small, especially the fillet mignon and the umakara ribeye. Also kitchen dropped the ball on delivering all our meat courses after the first two. Had to remind the server that we had not received four of the meat courses.

The waiter dropped off plates of food without saying a word—no greeting, no explanation of what each item was, just walked away. It was confusing and honestly a bit uncomfortable not knowing what we were about to eat or how to pair things. A simple “this is beef, this is pork, these are your dipping sauces” would’ve made a big difference. The concept is fun and has a lot of potential, but I think the restaurant needs to improve how they communicate with guests, especially those who are new to this style of dining. It’s hard to enjoy an experience when you feel unsure and left out of the process.
