Person at the front was horrible in customer service, over heard a woman saying she had a reservation and has been waiting for a table for an hour and the person at the front said she forgot and was sorry. Here I am waiting in line being next and a woman cuts me in line and the front person serves her even though she just saw me being next and getting cut in line and still attends the person. Afterwards I tell her I have a reservation and she tells me to give them a couple of minutes that they’ll have my table ready which was fine. I’m sitting and here comes in a couple attended by another person with a tablet and they get their table right away. After complaining to the front person, she said she was sorry that she was busy on her phone and it wasn’t until then that the other person with the tablet got us a table quickly. Front lady told us “I’m sorry for the miscommunication”. So stupid; any ways the food was excellent and the waiter we had was amazing!
Like their Happy hour! However meat and other dish portion is quite small and sake selection is very limited compare to their midtown branch.
Incredible meats. We are sad they ran out of the tower for the day but the flavors of the sauces, the bi bim bap, and sukiyaki rices that were perfectly mixed were all served in a timely way. The mango tango was also very refreshing against the salty meats. Will absolutely do this again.
Great attentive service. Excellent value at happy hour we got one happy hour set meal for 2 and the special meat tower. Very good at replacing our grill.
Always a great experience. We come here often at least twice a month It’s a regular stop on our amazing list of nyc restaurants.
it was good but used to be so much better before the fire. rice not in the hot pots. noodles not in the hot pots. no more spicy tofu soup. sauces no longer on the table. more sales than a costco. you need a game plan to order and not be overwhelmed. too commercial now. miss my old fav!
Gyu-kaku? More like gyu-kaki!!! Service was pretty bad.
Always enjoyable & food is excellent Nothing to add
Although crowded the wait for foods and drinks weren’t too bad. No complaints.
This was an amazing spot for a date! Highly recommend. Seats were well separated and the food was second to none!
One of my go to places .. gyu never failed me yet
I LOVED IT (as usual) amazing service amazing food amazing vibes amazing everything.
wonderful selection. Happy hour is the best deal in town.
Service was very slow and the food not as good as it used to be before covid menu is limited and can't edit what's in some the dishes like you used to before I asked to add corn to ramen shio she said oh we can't do that you need to order different type of ramen to have corn and its not like I was not willing to pay extra for it if needed I also said to the waitress no onions in anything because friend allergic she did good but I told her you can put the other veggies and she kept giving me the rice without the veggies even after saying ok. I told my friends this place is amazing but I felt let down by how the dinner turned out.
Good food, good prices! Services was ok nothing great but food made up for it
My sister and I made a reservation for 6pm, the hostess was rude and just blanking ask you what your name is and tell you to wait at the side. When we got sat down no one explained the menu, the waitress came 10 mins after to give us water and seem to be in a rush, I have to tell her at that moment that we are ready to order because she seem to about to leave and leave us hanging again. Food is good but service is bad overall.
Amazing experience the service was great the food was delicious and the happy hour and prices are good
Made a Mothers Day reservation at this location to celebrate my mom and enjoy some good food. We’ve been here in the past and had a great time previously. For the most part we had a good time on our latest visit but we had an issue with our waiter. From the moment he introduced himself he seemed to have an attitude and came across as unpleasant. Half way through our meal we were told we’d be getting a new waiter because our waiter would be going on a lunch break. That would be fine but our waiter did not leave the restaurant and continued to serve guests other than me and my mom. It came across as if he didn’t want to serve us specifically. We were given another waiter who was great but at the end of our meal the original waiter who didn’t seem to want to serve us came back with my check. I left a nice tip because regardless of the service the food was great and we had a nice time. On top of that I know people have rough days, times are tough lately and I wouldn’t want to deprive our waiter of a tip just because they may be having a bad day. He perked up a-lot when he saw the tip I left and the change from attitude to pleasant was instant, I just wish that was the service I was provided with originally. Other than that the food was good as usual but I wouldn’t go back to this location after the service we had.
They don't told me about happy hour.also they don't suggest food.
Also no knapkings..
We left good tips, anyway.
My friend Golf , please talk to you customers. Thanks.
Seated in the back on plush couch’s. Very cozy & decent drinks to complement the food. Everything we ordered came out fast!
The experience of cooking your own meats was very enjoyable, and the food was excellent. They have great value options such as the meat lovers for 2 people and other options for 3 person and 4 person groups. The service was good and the price wasn’t bad at all. I would recommend to try it out.
I really love the Gyu Kaku chain and experience. Although, no matter what location we go to, they always drop the check right after dinner. Never asking if another round is wanted, dessert menu, nothing. Always a downer after a really good dinner.
Absolutely love this place the food is delicious I would recommend it over and over again
Great food, great staff, only wish they had outdoors dining

my favorite place in the entire world - if there is a GYU, I'm going
It’s a great place!
Such a fun place! The food was delicious and good quality
Terrible service both at the reception (obnoxious),as well as at the table. They absolutely didn’t care, food quality has deteriorated drastically as well. Will not be going back
Every since we discovered Gyu-Kaku we can’t stop coming here! It’s our favorite restaurant, the food, the service is top notch
Always love Gyu Kaku! Food never disappoints me
