Gyu-kaku - Cupertino Ratings and Reviews
They kick you out of your table after you pay the bill when you’re trying to finish your beer. Mind you with a mighty glare! They care only about turning the table.
We had a good dinner overall. We ordered the $80 sampler, kimchi (which was delivered to us when we’re slmost done with our food), soda, beer, and rice balls. If it wasn’t for my husband wanting to try it out, I would have opt out for some better food and service.
Amazing food!!! Very pricy, but worth the bite. Would recommend more promotion on the happy hour (It was very unfortunate our party barely missed it!) I also wish there was a discount for birthdays and slightly bigger portions. Otherwise, awesome place to go to!
I love this place but this time the service was exceptional! I wish I had gotten names. It was my friends birthday and they made it special. Even though we were there for over 2 hours talking and eating slow they never rushed us. the food is great and it is fun!
Staff was super friendly, attentive, and fairly fast with a minor delay in getting food but overall amazing! I've been here before but my friends hadn't, no one explained the sauces and how long to cook each meat. Fortunately I had been there before but I couldn't recall everything. But for the most part you can tell when meat is cooked so I don't think the guidance was too important unless we were having fish. But overall amazing experience!
Amazing place! I've been here atleast 5 times and it always amazes me. Cheaper than most korean bbq buffets charging more for one person. Reservations are key to having the tastiest meat in my opinion. I would of course recommend more friends to eat out in this restaurant. 10/10
This was the second time I'd been here, and I enjoyed it even more than the first time. The waiter was outstanding. The meat was so yummy. And it's fun to cook at the table. I'm looking forward to the next time. The one bummer was that they were out of ICE!!! On a Saturday night! So I couldn't get the cocktail I wanted.
I have been there a couple of times. But the last time, the experience was not great. I felt uncomfortable because previous times I had good experience, but this time with coworker the waitress was not up to part. She didn't know the menu very well. When we asked for food she was unaware of the choices we were making. My coworker asked for hot tea and got room temperature tea in a glass. The best part is that we ask to split the receipt in 5. When she returned, she said that she split the cost in 4. We realize she lost one of my coworkers credit card. We search in the store for 10min. Finally, when she ask to do the split again. She just charged my coworker 1/4 of the price. Instead of cancelling our transaction and re-doing the math to split in 5... We ended up overpaying for our food because we didn't want to deal with the confusion.
Awesome place that my girlfriend and I go to on the regular. Love being able to BBQ my own meat, all the food is delicious (recommend the garlic noodles), and it is pretty cheap! Monday is happy hour all day and this whole summer has been pretty much a happy hour menu 24/7 (including $10 pitchers) - we'll pig out and spend $50 for the two of us, with the pitcher. If you've never been, make sure to check it out!
I was running a bit late for my reservation but they called my five mins after my time to confirm I was going and reassured me my table will be ready when I arrive. The food was great but I wish my waiter gave instructions on grill time. Food was great and ambiance was lively.
We came here for the first time last week, but definitely not for the last time! It was AWESOME!
The servers were happy to explain us how it worked and gave us some instructions about how to grill the food. It was so much fun! We'll be coming here again soon :)
I took a friend here for her birthday dinner. When we got there, a trainee and his teacher were assigned to us, We ordered drinks and forks as I have a bad right hand, and can't use chopsticks.
They took forever to bring our drinks, as they waited to bring them with a bunch of other stuff. He also forgot our forks. I was always told, if the kitchen is slow, always get the guests their drinks, and they will be happy. Then when I wanted a second scrumptious drink they just weren't there.
Finally when I paid, they lost my credit card, and took the bill to the next table.
The food was great but I will ask next time not to have a trainee.
Originally our table was too small and they were willing to change us to a bigger table. In general the food is good. It doesn't feel so greasy and stuffy compared to other BBQ place. Even the dessert needs to be grilled. It was fun for kids! And their ice-cream macaron was delicious too.
Had a nice evening here. Small plates that you cook over a hot grill. I don't eat beef but my companion ordered quite a bit of it and enjoyed it. I had lots of veggies and white fish with miso. I enjoyed all of it and the quality of the ingredients is good. Our server was a very nice young lady with lots of energy. The prices are not high per se but it's not cheap to get enough food to feed a grown man. We had one 300 ml bottle of hot sake (quite a deal at $3.95) and the meal came to $80 plus tip. We did order a lot of food but it seemed expensive. I will probably come back and have lunch, which I imagine would run me less than $20.
Came here for a dinner reservation. The quality of the food taste amazing, and the wait time for the food to come is fairly fast. The waitress that serve our table go over the menu for us since it was our first time and she gave us details on how to order the food. The servers was great, they come by our table and refill our water and occasionally asked if we need anything else. The only thing I wish they did is give us more portion sizes for the meal base on the number of people dining at the table. Other than that I would come here again and will recommend it to first timers who want to try Asian-style BBQ place!
