the food is very good.
We had the Thank You menu which is a wonderful combination of very high quality meat and sides. Staff is very friendly and thoughtful. Every time we dine here we have an amazing experience.
Pretty good meat .
The tongue is pretty good.
The beef is really good . Also dumpling are great .
make sure to reserve a table ahead of time.
This was a business meal, our clients loved the environment, the food and the friendly staff. they want to come back tomorrow
I have already written a yelp review of my horror experience.
One of my favorite small chains, this Gyu-Kaku deserves its five stars. Delicious food, decent price, great place.
Valentine’s Day. Great service. We got the best table.
Amazing time! We were immediately seated and loved every part of the meal! We were nervous about the set course but after trying more new food, we found more dishes to order the next time we come back!! Handing out roses on valentine's was a sweet touch as well!!
I would not recommend coming here at 11:30am when they first open. They are not prepped or prepared on time. We waited 30 minutes for our first meat dish to be brought out and it was still frozen and stuck together. Serving a frozen blob of meat is unacceptable for a Japanese BBQ restaurant. One of the meat options was also unavailable because they were waiting on a shipment. Waiting on a shipment or waiting for the frozen meat to thaw?? Who knows.
Made a reservation and was seated promptly upon arrival. We came for a late Sunday lunch and had the happy hour prices. The happy hour set for 2 people + a few more plates was the perfect amount for a filling lunch. It's fun to cook your own food, and the servers were attentive to water and switching the grill.
My fiance and I went here on a Saturday night for date night/early Valentine's Day dinner and I was very surprised at how calm, cool, and collected all the employee's seemed. I ordered my garlic noodles wrong & our server (I didn't get her name) was so awesome and fixed them for me. I can't wait to go back and indulge again.
My second time here. Will come back. My parents and I enjoyed being able to make the meats the way we wanted. Their happy hour has amazing value.
BBQ your food at your table.... a very good selection of beef, chicken, prawns or pork for you to cook as you like it. A venting system under the table keeps the smoke at a minimum.
A very enjoyable experience.
I received an email saying I didn't make it to my reservation, but I made it, so I was a little confused as to why.
Food portions very small for the amount of money paid. Do not recommend
This was. place for a friends get together; good atmosphere, good food and good fun
The quality of food is superb. I especially like the Kalbi and it tastes really good. Their manager is also very accommodating.
the foods are very gud.
Awesome food and service!!
My husband and I had a fun date night here! We chose the Meat Lover's option for 2 people and it was more than enough food! So tasty and fun :)
Very good taste and service
The food was good.
Good place for family dinner and who loves meat~^^
I went here for their happy hour and was pleasantly surprised. They have a lot of great options for big parties and their pitchers of beers are really cheap.
They did not have their usually daily lunch special because it was the holiday season and they want people to pay $30 per person instead of $12. That's not nice or fair.
I'm always here at least 3x a month! There's so much to choose from the menu! If you're a meat lover- i would definitely recommend this place! Also great for sharing!!!! :-)
Make sure you make reservations! So you don't have to wait!!!
As usual, everything was wonderful from start to finish.
My friend and I split the meat lovers combo meal. It comes with a ton of meats, a chicken and a shrimp order for you to bbq, as well as a salad, karage, miso soup, rice, and edamame. Everything was delicious.
We were seated within minutes of our reservation and the waiter was over quickly to take our orders, which was great. They were also very attentive during the meal, which was nice when we wanted refills etc... All in all, I couldn’t recommend this place more. It’s a fun, chilled out meal and it’s all for a really fair price. (Definitely sign up for their points plan too!)
*You’ll definitely want to make a reservation to eat here, otherwise be prepared for a long wait.
Very good. However, the restaurant need to accommodate for larger party.
Staff was very interested in rushing us out the door.
Start of vacation
Everything is good, except the wait was too long (~ 1hr), even with reservation.
Good selection and good value. Loves the salad. Food is really tasty too.
The meat were very good!
I've been to the Guy-Kaku in Kapolei, Hawaii and loved the food, service, ambiance, pretty much everything. When I visited California I was so excited to find out they had a restaurant in Cupertino. I scheduled a reservation because I knew our time was limited. We were first to be seated since we had reservations but was last served. Everyone that was in line pretty much was served before us. This wasn't the only issue we had. We had to ask for water refills when clearly all our neighbors were being tended to. They also forgot to bring out an item we ordered. The food portions were also smaller than what we had in Hawaii. Needless to say I would never come to this location again. I would also recommend you try another location elsewhere, the food was not worth the service.
Always a great time, delicious food and great service!!
They kick you out of your table after you pay the bill when you’re trying to finish your beer. Mind you with a mighty glare! They care only about turning the table.
We had a good dinner overall. We ordered the $80 sampler, kimchi (which was delivered to us when we’re slmost done with our food), soda, beer, and rice balls. If it wasn’t for my husband wanting to try it out, I would have opt out for some better food and service.
A bit of let down. Rice was too sweet. Corn too greasy. Meet was good. We had high expectations from experience of this chai in Hawaii.
Amazing food!!! Very pricy, but worth the bite. Would recommend more promotion on the happy hour (It was very unfortunate our party barely missed it!) I also wish there was a discount for birthdays and slightly bigger portions. Otherwise, awesome place to go to!
