Seating was terrible; we only received meat no vegetables, rice, or other part of our meal. Waiter tried hard; but kept forgetting order. They had to deduct from meal. Not very accommodating. I think they may have some racial bias. We were the only table with complaints and we were being brushed off…
Birthday; it was horrible
Wonderful special dining experience! Food was delicious!
SO. FREAKING. GOOD. All the meats had a different marinade ready to grill and it was the perfect portion size for two. Service was awesome.
The food wasn’t as flavorful as other locations, the portions were smaller too. It was just ok.
Perfect place for a date, girls night or just a fun dinner with the family and friends
Server was great! Food was amazing as always! Will def come back if i am in the area!
I made reservations for 12:30. I arrived at 12:20 and had to wait to be seated at around 12:50. Im not entirely sure why because there was only three other parties in the entire establishment. The food was good however the sanitation grade was slightly too low of my liking. The overall experience was okay.
Delicious food. Even the salad was top notch. But we didn’t see anything on the menu about the all you can eat option.
Not the best experience- but I’ll consider the fact they were busy
food was amazing
Food: More Korean versus Japanese, portion were very small.
Service: Our waiter seemed to be overwhelm with other customers and he actually told us he was too busy and did not check on us except when we had to flag him down. I am more frustrated with service as we ask another waitress to assist and she told us she is not our table and walked away. Not very friendly, we will not be going back to this restaurant.
Great for team building!
Service needs a little more work but definitely loved our meals. The meats were fresh and flavorful. It was really worth the price. The other dishes were also very tasty. The only thing I wasn’t really impressed was the miso soup that went with our set meal. It was lacking in flavor (it wasn’t bland but probably more miso when making the broth?) but otherwiseI was happy with the rest. I will definitely come back. Thank you for the opprtunity to celebrate my birthday with you and some of my closest friends!
This was an unusually unpleasant experience. I typically enjoy this restaurant but yesterday was not the service I expected
Waitress brought out corn 20 minutes before the rest of the meal, so it was cold by the time we went to eat the meal. Waitress also neglected to bring out one of the plates of meat. We had to ask her where it was after waiting about 10 minutes for it.
In January 2020, we had a great experience at Gyu Kaku, so we decided to go back. Our second experience wasn’t so great. They seemed short staffed. We were ordering a la carte, and our waiter barely came to our table. When he did come to our table and take our order for more food, he would forgot some of our order all together. This happened twice, so we left earlier than we had planned/anticipated.
The food is good, but we will not be back. Will try the Korean BBQ place instead.
Wonderful experience. Will be back as soon as possible and may try the unlimited menu. Lunch was great.
Enjoyable experience. Food was delicious. They seem to need more servers as our waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she had to tend too. It was also a Sunday afternoon, so maybe during the week they aren’t as busy.
I was a little nervous to try out Korean bbq in Charlotte because I hadn’t been since living in New York. However, the food was excellent, the service was very good, and my wife and I had a great fun date night. They are still being very diligent with covid precautions. Parking is free in the adjacent lot, they give you a code as soon as you walk in. The happy hour deals are great, I will definitely be back for that. We ended up getting the chefs choice combo for 2 which was outstanding and the perfect amount of food for us.
Outstanding food and service! We will be back!
It was good food
I love to go there with my partner because they offer a lot of yummy food for a good price.
Hostess she doesn’t know what she is doing, pricey for the amount of food you get.
Waitress was ok.
Our waiter and food was outstanding! Had a very enjoyable experience!
Had a reservation.could’ve been more prompt.still a good experience.
Customer service upon walk in was not the best, however the server was great and so was the food.
Food was great as always!!!
Great experience , server was nice and efficient. Explained everything to us and food came out fast. Left the test to us. Food was amazing
This was a fun and unique restaurant. We got the deal that feeds 2 and honestly 3-4 people could probably eat all of that food. You’ll definitely get your money’s worth. I will say that we preferred the marinated meats over the plain because they were flavorful. So be prepared if you like well seasoned food that some of the meats are just meat. No flavor. But with some added soy sauce and spicy sauce it was ok.
Great took our waitress bout 10 mins to get to us but all good
It was a very pleasant experience for my wife and I. I have told all my friends about it!!!
Great for a group dining or date night. Not easy for people with small children tight space.
Tough night for the wait staff. We waited 10 mins before anyone came to our table, flagged the hostess who promptly took our drink order (2 beers). Then a waitress showed up to take our drink order and we gave her our food order. Two different servers came to our table with someone else’s food. Then a server passed us twice with our beers before I finally got her attention and had them delivered to us. Miso soup and salad came out, quickly, then fried chicken. Meat came out immediately after appetizers, so we didn’t really have time to eat our apps. Never visited before, so wasn’t really sure how things were supposed to work, didn’t get a very good explanation until the server came back and we asked. No plates for our cooked meat, so are of our salad plates until we asked for separate plates... no napkins until we asked the second time.
IT was good. This time some of the meat was rough.
Just meh overall. Have been to several other locations before and was really looking forward to this place. Service was lackluster at best, little to no personality. For a relatively new establishment, it seemed dirty. Will be a while before we venture back to this location.
The food was delicious as always. We got a lot of small plates and shared it. I would highly recommend it.
This is a wonderful restaurant with excellent food. The flavors are bold and tasty and it is always consistent. You'll not be disappointed trying this place out and you'll be hooked. The quality of the meats are superb...they do get busy often so do expect longer wait times. But that is OK and well worth the wait because this is a fine restaurant that surely will not disappoint. The only improvement I see needed is better parking for patrons. There aren't enough parking spots especially when the restaurant gets busy, but that isn't the establishment's fault. It's moreso bad planning from the city to not think a restaurant of this fine caliber would never be busy and therefore, no need for parking spots.
Great time entertaining my in-laws! We got the servers 4 meal, they forgot the cabbage for the grill and edamame, and only discounted us for one of the items. Very tasty but that was a little disappointing.
